It is not the same as “citizenship” defined under the 14th Amendment (1868) . The Framers understood this term to mean an individual who is born to both parents who are US citizens. I believe if the parents are American citizens all their children are natural born even if they are born on the moon they are eligible for potus ! Place has nothing to do with ! Children of non American citizens can only be native born which is good enough for the senate !
