Wikipedia Deletes President Obama’s New Marxist Campaign Slogan Link to Socialist/Communists

Gary DeMar

Update: Yesterday I began to write the article below in the early afternoon. The Wikipedia article where I got some of the information included “Forward (Obama-Biden Campaign Slogan)” and the use of “Forward” by numerous socialist and communist groups. The reference to “generic name of socialist publications” has been removed (PDF of original “Forward” Wikipedia page here. A BIG ‘thank you’ to loyal reader Ken for sending this to us). Now the Wiki article includes this message:

“This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia’s deletion policy.”

The Progressives adopted the slogan “Forward” a long time ago. For example, there was the campaign slogan and poster “Forward with Roosevelt” (1936) and P.J. O’Brien’s book title of the same name. The arguments for Roosevelt’s new programs were borrowed from the socialist policies of the German Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck. The National Socialists in Germany also used Bismarck’s social theories for the construction of their social security system. Hitler remarks in Mein Kampf, “I studied Bismarck’s socialist legislation in its intention, struggle and success.”

Bismarck said that “the State must take the matter in hand, since the State can most easily supply the requisite funds. It must provide them not as alms but in fulfillment of the workers’ right to look to the State where their own good will can achieve nothing more.” Roosevelt and his admirers agreed. O’Brien, writing in Forward with Roosevelt, links Bismarck’s social policies with those of Roosevelt: “[The quotation by Bismarck] might have been lifted out of a speech by President Roosevelt in 1936, but the Iron Chancellor uttered it in 1871.”

“Hope and Change” was the campaign slogan of President Obama’s 2008 campaign. The 2012 campaign moniker is “Forward.” Many Americans would add “. . . Off a Cliff.” Obama’s colors may be showing . . . the color red. Fox News reports the following:

“The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, ‘Forward’ — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

“Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name ‘Forward!’ or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called ‘Forward (generic name of socialist publications).’

“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,’ the online encyclopedia explains.

“The slogan ‘Forward!’ reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.”

The radical left-wing publication Vorwaerts (the German word for “Forward”) was a clearing house for German revolutionary socialist groups. Karl Marx began to write for it in 1844.

The ‘Great Leap Forward’ was an economic and social campaign of the Communist Party of China led by Mao Zedong.

I suspect that President Obama’s handlers will link the “Forward” campaign slogan to Roosevelt and dismiss the Marxist links. “If it was good enough for FDR,” they’ll probably say, “then it’s good enough for BHO.”

President Obama’s former associates and intellectual mentors – from Saul Alinsky and Bill Ayers to Derrick Bell and Frank Marshall Davis and his own father and mother — were Marxists of one kind or another.

Then there is Anita Dunn, a political strategist who served as White House Communications Director from April through November 2009 with the Obama administration. She said the following in 2009:

“The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse-tung and Mother Theresa — not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is ‘you’re going to make choices; you’re going to challenge; you’re going to say why not; you’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.”

Of course, when Dunn was criticized for claiming the mass murdering dictator as one of her “political heroes,” like so many liberals, she said stated that her reference was meant to be “ironic” and that she borrowed the quotation from Republican strategist Lee Atwater (1951–1991). Like her boss at the time, she blamed Bush, that is, George H. W. Bush since Atwater was an advisor to the elder Bush and Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Can you imagine what would have happened if someone in either Bush administration had said that Adolf Hitler was one of his heroes and then used the excuse that he was only being “ironic”?

If President Obama is re-elected, the social and economic forces of Marxism will be unleashed because he will no longer have to worry about the next election. Four more years of this committed Marxist could do irreparable harm to our economy and institutions.

Funny on how you silly swift boating types forget Wisconsin's state motto "Forward."

Reflecting Wisconsin's continuous drive to be a national leader, the state adopted "Forward" as the official state motto in 1851.

Wiki is an entity many can change. So if something has been changed in Wiki, that does not mean anything lkke this hit piece contends it does.

It shows how desperate people are to keep Swift Boating people they don't like; that's it.

President Obama recently spoke with a Wisconsin flag as background and some Republicans mistook the flag as a Union symbol and screamed about him speaking in front of this communistic union symbol not realizing until later this was a state flag.

Opps. It was this mistake I read about in the news recently that brings this to mind. It is much ado about nothing, because Obama is neither a socialist, a non citizen, or a non- Christian except in some people's slander attempts.

It is also a fact that Wisconsin's state bird is the Robin when the projected survival rate of a Robin in Wisconsin is about 4 minutes by the time the hawks and crows notice that little red breast.

That said, Wiki is not my choice for a reference bible. I prefer MAD Magazine.

Happy May Day, Mike.

May Day was my day of freedom from eLPee. I posted a thread about the xenophobic border Nazis called the Minutemen, and Sally banned me. Time's discussion board historically also died a few years earlier in this time frame, and JimRob banned my 'Ferret' account in very early May that same year.

I always have a happy May Day, it's the watching out for the sociopath trying to stick a may Pole up my ass in regards to my posting world historically in this time period I hate. That and I get another year older this month.

Here I thought I'd die at the hands of a jealous husband or boyfriend escaping from their lady friend's bed in the middle of the night by the time I was thirty five and here I am about to turn 58. Life can be cruel and even take a long time in doing so.

Well, at least there is always the hot and steamy days of June to take my mind off of what May does to me.

I'll probably die an old man stepping in front of a bus on April's Fool's Day daydreaming about how much I don't like the month coming up with my luck.

Hmmm. I never gave much thought to my chances until I reached 70.

When I was eighteen, everyone thought I was an altar boy.

When I was thirty-five most folks wondered why somebody hadn't iced me long before; they thought I was an insufferable plick.

When I was fifty, I was an insufferable plick.

Stick around and just don't go out on April 1st.

As my greatly lamented uncle said, Drink until you can't walk; no pedestrian has ever been killed who is too drunk to walk.

P. S. It looks like Capitalist Erica has the hots for you.

Hey Admiral! Give it up! You are still an insufferable PRICK at 75 years of age. To use an ol' cliché, "you can't teach ol' dogs new tricks." Now, get out back in the barn an play with your goats.

There is always something to say about your highly esteemed career on the Internet, Admiral. And I want to thank you for the corrections. Now get over to the goat room in your home and play with the goats. Also, you are 75.5 years of age.

It makes sense, too. You are a medical doctor. You are a legal mind to the US Supreme Court. You are a US Navy Admiral. And beyond else, you are the legal counselor to the failing LP yukon bumfuck club. That extra 6 months added to your chronological age adds tremendous supporting information about your "career."

Once again, thank you for the corrections.

Still wrong. There is a difference between a forensic psychiatrist and a lawyer and just because Admirals reported to me did not make me an Admiral and since I am not a lawyer I don't give legal advice to LP anymore than I do myself.

I know you wish LP would fail. I know you have tried your best to make that possible.

I also know that you and calcon and war and hondo and others have failed.

And I am still not 75 or 75.5.

I think Murron mentioned somewhere that you are a washed up drunk. I differ there in that your low self-esteem and posturing will not allow you to escape your alcohol induced stupor.

Add to that the fact that as a dyslexic you lack the communication skills necessary to give credence to your pathetic boasts, let alone get anyone's goat.

Especially mine. Showed them a picture of you on horseback and they were laughing so hard it took three days to get them back to work.

Yes. I have gotten yours for years, Admiral. Of course, unlike you and your crowd of fawning queer pricks, I rarely post which categorically proves that you are about to enjoy an all new vista of Internet life because of your LP goatherd. And with yukon wearing his dongle on a day to day stampede against common sense, you quite simply put, can not compete although you are slated for some awesome fun.

But, it is all your problem admiral, anyway. It is not mine. You are just a toy to me on occasional evenings and weekends. BTW, I am wondering what is in store for your evening viewing pleasure this evening being the weekend and all over at LP.

Showed them a picture of you on horseback and they were laughing so hard it took three days to get them back to work.

Awww. You are such a gracious Admiral, too. Is yukon still beating off? And are you licking his spurtous eruptus, as is usual?

I didn't know this Hank that you all speak of, but what I do know is that speaking ill of a person's deceased friend is an exceptionally lowlife, low rent thing to do.

I have to say though, I'm not that surprised that you would do such a thing.

Does this mean that your deceased parents are also fair play? Perhaps a deceased sibling?

I wouldn't stoop that low personally, but others may want to fight fire with fire.

I agree. Especially since they can't defend themselves.

Stone recently spoke ill of my son whom he does not know and has never posted in here, and that was a low brow thing that spoke volumes about Stone's immaturity.

I might add though, you caused me grief today when I was at new Day bakery and using my laptop. Really dude, though that was a humorous graphic of Liz Cheney, I couldn't display that thread while wifi-ing. I was sharing a common table with a woman and her two kids.

I had to quickly scroll away from the penis graphic for the sake of her two kids.

Think about what you are posting and where please. Thank you.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, Mike, that both LP & LF are home to a very large collection of racists and bigots from all sides of the spectrum.

Don't fret, I was banned from eLPee for posting a particularly nasty anti-Minuteman article.

I don't like the group, but prefer to use a generic approach that at best can include confronting current members.

I'm also against political grudgings based on what a person's belief was. This forum's management likes to needle people on whom they have voted for in the past for example.

That is a practice that is the kiss of death for any sort of process that leads people to find common ground on issue and for coalition building.

My comment is predicated more on the concept of a greater degree of political politesse and courtesy then we see these days.

No; I'm happier with McAuliffe's Nuts

Which was expanded upon by the Colonel presenting the message to the Germans:

"If you don't know what 'Nuts' means, in plain English it is the same as 'Go to Hell'. And I'll tell you something else, if you continue to attack we will kill every goddam German that tries to break into this city."

Ah yes, Bastogne, response to surrender demands; this was a part of the chronology of Battle of the Bulge which was the Germans last big effort to reverse their bad fortunes in World War II.

Having been a paratrooper, there is no way I would not know what you are talking about.
