U.S. Constitution Title: Controversial (Burn a Koran) Pastor Announces Sanford Rally (Constitutional Rights for Zimmerman & Trayvon) Controversial pastor Terry Jones announced today he will hold a rally in support of the Constitutional Rights for George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin at the Sanford, Florida, courthouse on Saturday, April 21. In a video posted on March 29, Jones explained that many in the black community and the establishment media have already tried George Zimmerman in the court of public opinion and have denied him the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty. Jones is notorious for his plan last year to burn Korans. He believes Islam is a violent religion that wants to impose sharia law in the United States. Muslims reacted with violence after Jones announced his plan to burn the Muslim holy book. Eleven people were killed, including some United Nations officials, in Afghanistan following the announcement. No word yet if Sanford city officials will attempt to block the rally. Martin Case Prompts Call for Government Regulation of Guns, Neighborhood Watch On Tuesday, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson told The Miami Herald the shooting of Martin is definitely a case of murder despite the fact Zimmerman has yet to be arrested and put on trial. Oh, definitely Mr. Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin
you can tell from the 911 tapes, and from the girlfriends conversation. You can tell from Mr. Zimmermans past, Wilson said. Wilson has called for a congressional commission to study racial disparities among black men and boys in America, Fox News reported on Monday. Members of Congress have used the shooting to call for more gun control and for Neighborhood Watch programs to register with the government. The Congressional Black Caucus has demanded the government outlaw Stand Your Ground self-defense laws. The story has dominated headlines for two consecutive weeks, thanks largely to the corporate media. According to Pew Research, the story towers over the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, the 2012 election, the economy and even NCAA basketball. African Americans are far more likely than whites to say they are closely tracking news about the Florida teenagers death. Fully 58% cite news about Trayvon Martins killing as their top story, compared with 24% of whites. Moreover, 43% of whites say the story has received too much coverage, compared with just 16% of blacks, Pew reports.
