Billionaire Donald Trump voiced his major concern over Rep. Paul Ryans (R-WI) budget proposal Monday, calling it very dangerous for GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney to support. Appearing on Fox and Friends, The Apprentice host displayed his annoyance with the timing of Ryan releasing the House Republican budget last week in the middle of the campaign season.
I think its very bad politically, and I think the Democrats will have a field day with it, he said. And I just think its bad timing. And Ive said it before when he announced it originally, and Im saying it again. I think the Democrats will have an absolute field day.
Trump preferred for Republicans to wait after the election to release their plans and labeled Ryans move as suicidal. When asked if he thought Romney should back away from his previous support of Ryans budget, Trump left the decision for Romney to figure out before continuing his criticism.
I just think its a very dangerous plan for Mitt Romney, to be honest he said. Already the Democrats are starting to write their campaign literature based on this plan. I just think its very dangerous for the Republicans.
