House Passes Legislation To Ban Synthetic Drugs FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The House has passed legislation aimed at curbing abuse of synthetic drugs being sold over the counter and online. Democratic state Rep. John Tilley of Hopkinsville said the dangerous substances have caused hallucinations, psychosis, even death. The House voted 96-0 for the bill Tuesday after hearing Tilley, the sponsor, describe the harmful effects of synthetic drugs. In one high-profile case, Tilley said a mother who had used the substances in western Kentucky left her 2-year-old child on a highway because she thought the toddler was demon-possessed. The legislation would ban any substances intended to mimic better-known drugs such as marijuana and methamphetamine. People caught selling synthetic drugs could be sentenced to up to a year in jail.

This is Kentucky legislation, but you can't prevent people from doing stupid things. Also, maybe the synthetic meth is less harmful than the real thing. Meth is really bad stuff. I'm guessing that it would be less harmful to smoke real maryjane, than some synthetic substitute. Prohibition didn't stop people from drinking, and this will probably have little effect if it becomes "law". Is this even legal under the Kentucky constitution?
Obama's watch stopped on 24 May 2008, but he's been too busy smoking crack to notice.
I'm beginning to wonder if all of our lawmakers aren't fking fruitcakes. With all the inhumanity towards their brothers and sisters happening all over this nation, these dingo's go with the excuse of a mother abandoning a child on a highway....sheeech...like that's never happened a kazillion times ..everywhere, and for a score of many reasons.

Welcome to the party, Murron....;} Today, many of these leaders display a Goldman Sachs culture quotient of exactly zero percent. I attend derivatives sales meetings where not one single minute is spent asking questions about how we can help clients. It’s purely about how we can make the most possible money off of them. If you were an alien from Mars and sat in on one of these meetings, you would believe that a client’s success or progress was not part of the thought process at all. It makes me ill how callously people talk about ripping their clients off. Over the last 12 months I have seen five different managing directors refer to their own clients as “muppets,” sometimes over internal e-mail.
