Because you certainly will not get it from slick Rick
In a remarkable video posted to Youtube yesterday, Rick Santorum tells a man attending one of his events that if he supports limited government and debt reduction he should go vote for Ron Paul.
In the brief clip, the man who describes himself as an independent voter, questions Santorums record and support for big government programs like Medicare Part D, No Child Left Behind, and five debt ceiling increases, while he was a Senator from Pennsylvania.
What is limited government about that sir? the man asks Santorum.
A visibly annoyed Santorum fires back Vote for Ron Paul, thats what you should do.
Watch the video:
So there you have it from Santorum himself. If you actually care about scaling back spending, reducing the debt and limiting federal government over reach, Ron Paul is the only candidate to vote for.
The Ron Paul campaign has directly targeted Santorums record in recent weeks, making the case that it is a myth that Santorum is in any way a fiscal conservative, as he claims to be.
Paul has been running an ad, entitled simply Fake, that points out how Santorum has not voted conservatively on many big issues.
Santorum touts his conservative record all too often. Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton has said regarding the ad.
Its time that his real record makes its way into the national conversation were having about which Republican presidential candidate is the authentic, consistent conservative. That man is Ron Paul. said Benton.
In the latest Rasmussen Poll of likely voters, Ron Paul statistically ties with Obama in a head to head match up, 41 percent to Obamas 42 percent. Santorum lags behind Obama 43 percent to 46 percent.
Poster Comment:
Ron Paul is the only candidate who's not a borrow and spend liberal.
Probably the first time a Party member ever spoke the truth. In moments of unguarded irritation there is the occasional veritas . . .
war has to do something for entertainment; the voices in his head aren't speaking to him and his imaginary friends have found reasons not to come over anymore.
We can't solve our problems replacing a left-wing socialist with a right-wing socialist.
I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM.
