I spent some time reading the comments of people at LP over the last couple of days and my how it has changed. As a person who spent many years posting on that site who now hardly has the time to read political forums much less post on them, the change appears stark. It's become a haven for authoritarian leftists and police state Republicans. A Free Republic clone. A far cry from the early days when it was a small government political forum. Sally has finally shown her true colors by allowing those people to take over.

As an aside, I find it interesting how much LP's authoritarian leftists have in common with LP's police state Republicans. From the posts I've read they side with each other on just about everything. What gets me is how people who find themselves in agreement on a regular basis with a known Democrat/authoritarian leftist like harrowup can call themselves conservative. There is nothing conservative about their big government views.

No he's not a conservative. He's an admitted Democrat. I remember him from FR. He was pro-big government and pro-police state so RimJob allowed him to stick around while he was banning conservatives who refused to perform verbal fellatio on the (then) Republican controlled federal government. That is my point. The police state Republicans on LP claim to be conservative yet appear to agree with every position harrowup has, which begs the question how are they conservative?

I used to consider myself a conservative but I no longer do. The republican party in conjunction with the neocon movement and the MSM have warped the meaning and turned it into something different from what it was prior to Bush.

As a pejorative that might make some folks angry. Actually, I find it funny coming from a 'constitutionalist' and/or 'anarchocapitalist'.

They pretend to be conservatives, and it's been that way for quite a long time now.

They call themselves conservatives, yet they reject almost every core conservative principle you could list. And that makes perfect sense to them.

Accountants hate Ron Paul. They love all the financial and tax regulations that their lobbyists successfully lobby for.

He's seen as a threat to their livelhood.

I find your generalization more than a little hypocritical.

In fact, you're a lying bag of shit.

You call the movement to limit the government, get rid of the police-state tactics and return to REAL money "despicable."

Which means YOU want the police-state, fiat money and a nanny-state government.

This logically infers that you are, in fact, a statist, exactly what you were originally described as, and you denied.

Check-mate, ass-hole.

Dullards often resort to such responses when faced with implacable logic.

When you moronic sheeple get together, you often trade barbs back and forth, in a vain attempt to bolster your meager egos, and hopefully diminish whomever you attack. Being so childish, you never learn that such actions only reinforce your failure.
