Lots of folks I've met from Ohio are racists. Cincinnati has a racist history over the years. Boofer seems to be an exception though, I'll give him that.
I've yet to meet anyone born and bred or raised predominantly in KY who wasn't.
In 1975, I worked a summer job at a Steak and Shake in Springfield Illinois. There was a guy from KY who worked prep in the kitchen. I was there a few weeks when the dishwasher quit and I alternate double shifted working the beverage station and then washing dishes. They finally hired someone who was black and the KY guy quit ON THE SPOT because he wasn't going to work with "niggers".
At the time it was one of the most shocking things that I had ever seen - how this guy behaved.
