A hallmark of the gilded era of just a few short years ago, the eye-popping severance package continues to thrive in spite of the measures put in place in the wake of the financial crisis to crack down on excessive pay. How inthe world GM lost 6 billion dollars in one year, and gave the CEO at the time a bonus over 10 million for 'annual performance' simply staggers me. Thats why I thought bailing out GM via taxpayer money was absolute insanity, and was 100% against doing so. Same for the banks btw. Our government, led by Bush at the time, propped up failed business models. And eventually we will have to bail them out once again, if only because these business entities only learned one lesson.
