buck, I am flattered that you want my attention, I really am. My faith in God is bigger than the concept of war. However I am also not a passificst or delusional to the point that I believe that passivity is safe, in a fallen world.
There is a time and a season for all things under the sun, including defending oneself against people who are violent ,and wish to enslave or kill people.
You, perhaps would prefer to be dead or be a slave, and that is your right.... but no matter WHO created you, you do not have the right to decide for anyone else.
And apparently you are not able to grasp the finner points here. I agree with you that the religions of the world are dangerous to peace.
I do not have a religion, and neither did Jesus. Both he and I stand up against religion....
Surely you are smart enough to understand that at some level. So, I wish you well in figuring that out.
As far an unicorns- well, I sit in peace and prosperity. My prayers are answered. I feel the weight of God in my life on an hourly basis. I sense the awe of a great and mighty creator. My life has been saved numerous times, and I have a complex understanding of the Bible and of the world that is not of my own making.
It is pure logic for me to have faith in what I know is real in my life. I pray that you will get this. I pray that you will be saved. I pray that you get to Heaven.
I pray for people to be healed and many times the people I pray for are blessed. Why you keep relating my faith to war- screams fear. You just do not want to accept that you very well may be wrong about God and Jesus. Well, I am here to say that it is never to late to figure out what your beliefs are...
Well, yes it. It is going to be too late to figure it out, when you are dead.
buck, I am flattered that you want my attention, I really am. My faith in God is bigger than the concept of war.
Actually, I don't want your attention. The thread is to ensure YOU HAVE MINE.
Have you ever been in WAR? You have claimed that you have had a "good life" thanks to America and so forth. Have you EVER fought for one idea or concept concerning America's own actual defense while risking your own life?
Yet, here you are telling me how JESUS wants Israel. Are you aware that thousands, tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of America's FINEST march off to the ME, while you are waving your own tattered US flag? Are you aware of the disparity that America suffers because of your own apathy?
I do. I have known about your lack of concern of life as you drive America into the ground since the late 1960's.
I am sorry for you and your bitterness and anger. You are lost and are fueled by self pity and no knowledge of who you are in the larger scheme of things.
It is a frustrating existence. You have no power, you have no control, and you have no say. You are enslaved by the thoughts and deeds of other people- and ones who don't even love you or care about you.
It is a very sad life. I know all about it. You need someone to give you some answers and there is only one place to get those answers. God. You can rage against that all you want to- and it will leave you with no answers.
Have I served? No I have not. But I have had ancestors in every war since at least the war on Independence- and they loved this country, they loved personal freedom and they loved God. My grandfathers, both veterans taught me what I know.
I get much of my patriotism and political leanings from my knowledge of those in my family who did serve.
I love the United States. You can leave anytime you want, if you don't. I am thankful to God for the blessings we have had here.
We are volunteer military. I do love Israel. That is my right, buck. Your anger and the lack of control you have over the world is nothing different than a 5 year old throwing a tantrum over a toy train.
You are powerless just like everyone else. Deal with it somehow or you will grown old and bitter.
I wasn't alive during the time period you are talking- but out of service to my country and my duty as a christ follower- I serve Vietnam Vets, because I feel they faced injustice in our country.. and I support military families whenever I can. I have done that for over 20 years. I understand the difference between what I do have control over and what I do not have control over. THAT is serenity.. hopefully you will find some of that some day.
