AP Declares Hochul Winner in 26th District According to the Associated Press, with 61% of precincts reporting, Democrat Kathy Hochul is being declared the winner.
The voters have spoken, now we will see even more rats fleeing the U.S.S. Ryan Budget.
There's always the chance that 7,000 Republican votes will mysteriously be found tomorrow.
Yes, the Wisconsin effect. There are troubling indications from irregularities found there that indicate fruad there this last State Supreme Court race. Let's hope things don't happen like that in New York.
Pending court proceedings before [Judge] Buscaglia on Thursday at the earliest, the judge also impounded all voting equipment and enjoined the canvass of paper ballots "except as directed by this court" and "temporarily enjoined and restrained from certifying" the winner pending that court hearing. Jane Corwin, the Republican candidate in today's high-stakes NY-26 special election, has obtained a judge's order to bar the certification of the result and impound certain election materials when polls close this evening.
