Experts are predicting an increase in moonbattery and widely scattered insanity for the next week or so. Starting with this: #9. They've had to fire their staffers that got caught, but most haven't. You have your choice: Factual news the Lamestream media ignores... Well Hawk, we all have our opinions, don't we? Note I don't make such a judgment about you over a disagreement about the appropriateness or inappropriateness of another's behavior in forum. I chose to agree to disagree on something like this. So I would ask yourself were I you; why is it you would make so personal an ad hom attack on me? I have followed all those thread pertaining to Yukon after he made his Freudian slip grade opps. And I'm sure you can't deny I did not contribute to the fighting; I was too busy watching and listening. Therefore, you are welcome to your opinions. But as I am secure in how well I have formed mine, therefore your snippishment doesn't have any weight to it. But as always, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Fred. Harrowup is a good egg too. It's just when you get forums like these two that have people moderating who don't set clear standards of behavior, and violate their own purported level of maturity and ethical standing, it's always going to adversely affect people -- both nice ones and not so nice folks. Just something to think about. As long as the overhead refuses to do things right, there is never much point to getting epically worked up about dysfunctional behavior in their forums.
Nah, we have gotten to know each other and have some things in common. No worries Hawk. I have had fights with people who are friends or I respect in real time too. I never change any conclusions based on someone trying to take me as an emotional hostage. I need facts or a good argument to sway me. I've seen Yukon change from someone whom I liked before Sally capriciously banned me from eLPee become this abusive wank that just keeps it personal and away from any topic at hand. That makes it very hard to see weight in your POV on him. That's just the way it is.
I have been nothing but not only polite to but patient with harrowup all through this Yukon bullshit. He can't say the same. He can go fuck himself for all I care now. In other words, I disagree with your assessment of his character.

The forum moderation and what rules are made and enforced make the ground that is an element of the measure a plum bob tries to make. Both Goldi and Stone profess to want free speech forums. Yet both have their ways to try to skew things to their end of an argument. Stone has his Happy Qs and Gnus to re-write article headlines and mine obscure blogs. And he loves the racism and homophobia they throw in. In this he is having them work to be his pitbulls for him. Goldi has her White Sands and Yukon. She was an activist who works for Ross Perot and has never adjusted from trying to keep a tight control of the message of her forum. People like them work to harrass any liberals there who might gain any ground arguing their POV in her forum. Unless the overhead improves or gets better moderation, no plum bob is going to do well with the ground the tripod it's attached to has to stand on.
Both men used as examples, Yukon and White Sands have done the exact same job here at LF and at eLPee. However, when Yukon went to True Blue Freedom; a forum with very strictly enforced ad hom rules, he was banned for this behavior. My point here is I consider the Yukon's in this to be cannon fodder being used by forum managers/owners to in a very Machiavellian end to stack the decks in a way that allows plausible denial the venue is about free speech when it is not. Both Goldi and Stone are human with good points, and aspects of them that are mean spirited and conniving. Not everyone can run a forum well. And both people prove this premise well. I know where to focus my cross hairs as to the main problem here. As far as Yukon goes, I don't like him at this point, but he's being used. So it would be foolish to invest too much anger and disdain in him.

Tornadoes ripped through parts of the Midwest on Sunday, killing at least one person in Minneapolis and an unknown number of others in Missouri, where a massive tornado flattened a large area of Joplin and heavily damaged a hospital. John Campbell, operations director for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed that fatalities have been reported, but said he did not yet have an exact number or specifics. Ryan Nicholls with the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management told the Springfield News- Leader Sunday night that 24 fatalities had been confirmed in the wake of the tornado. The number of injuries was unknown. Phone communications in and out of the city of about 50,000 people near the Kansas/Missouri border were largely cut off. St. John Regional Medical Center was evacuating nearly 100 patients after the hospital took a direct hit from the tornado, said Cora Scott, a spokeswoman at the hospital's sister facility. The patients were being taken to other hospitals. Witnesses said windows were blown out on the top floors of the hospital. The storm was part of a series that battered the Midwest on Sunday night. Tornado warnings and watches were posted from Texas to Michigan. In Minneapolis, city spokeswoman Sara Dietrich said one death was confirmed by the Hennepin County medical examiner. She had no other immediate details. Only two of the 29 people injured there were hurt critically. In Wisconsin, a powerful storm caused significant damage in La Crosse, tearing roofs from homes and sending emergency responders to search damaged buildings for anyone trapped inside, officials said. La Crosse County sheriff's dispatcher Tim Vogel described the damage as "significant" but told The Associated Press there were no immediate reports of serious injuries. In Joplin, extensive damage was reported on the south side of the city and along Rangeline Road, a major commercial thoroughfare in the city. The tornado struck Joplin at about 5:45 p.m., according to reports transmitted to the Springfield branch of the National Weather Service. St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin was severely damaged, and scanner traffic indicated emergency responders from surrounding communities are converging on the city to assist with victims. "This is really bad," one Joplin resident relayed to a family member in Andover via text message. Jasper County Emergency Management Director Keith Stammer said the St. John's Regional Medical Center on the city's south side took a "direct hit." He said there were multiple reports of injuries and emergency responders were conducting search and rescue operations. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon activated the National Guard and declared a state of emergency. Nixon said the state and low law enforcement agencies were coordinating search and rescue and recovery operations. Survivors reported more than 20 semi-trailer trucks overturned by the tornado. Television stations were knocked off the air and radio stations were asking for help from anyone who can lend a hand. Victims were trapped in the rubble of houses and in cars. The roofs of two city fire stations collapsed. Witnesses said the tornado appeared to have multiple vortices swirling within it as it moved through Joplin, according to weather service reports. The thunderstorm that spawned the Joplin tornado actually developed in southeast Kansas, said Stephanie Dunten, a meteorologist with the Wichita branch of the weather service. Hail as large as softballs was reported in Labette County, she said, but no tornadoes were reported. "There were a few funnels, but no tornadoes touching the ground," Dunten said. I don't know why A K A Stone keeps sanctioning bucky and allows his alternate IDs to pester him. TBF was and continues to be a joke nearly as useless as WTP. I visit perhaps these forums looking for interesting news, opinion and generally humor. I don't need the distraction and I don't censor or embargo. I would give him the benefit of doubt that he is not being manipulative for the sake of doing so. That is not only not his way, but it runs against his grain.
