How can the Germans be kicking our ass? They have powerful, well paid trade unions, get a months paid vacation, universal health care and are taxed to support public spending projects?

It makes no sense! The Germans do the opposite of what the Republican Tea Party says we should do and they are doing better than America? How is that possible? It's called reality. Deal with it.

Not to mention integrating the failed East German economy.

I'm glad to see LF's two leading minds are heralding the truth to the unwashed. I don't see any mention of the scam the German's are running at the expense of the rest of Europe called the EU. But just sell it as a triumph of socialism if you mean spreading misery equally.

But just sell it as a triumph of socialism if you mean spreading misery equally.

Here is what the Heritage Foundation says about German socialism:

Overall business freedom is well protected. The efficient regulatory framework allows dynamic and innovative processes for business formation and operation.

and

Contractual arrangements are secure, and commercial law and private contracts are respected. All property is protected, and the judiciary and civil service are highly professional.

and

Despite the challenging global economic environment, Germany continues to be one of the world’s most powerful and dynamic economies. Business freedom and investment freedom are strong. Long-term competitiveness and entrepreneurial growth are supported by openness to global commerce, well-protected property rights, and a sound business regulatory environment.

Definition of Socialism: "Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy."

Please explain to this ignorant libtard how Germany fits the definition of socialism.

Like I said the the Republican retards, Germany is "socialist" so I play that up but they really are a mixed-economy aka Social Market economy - but that is too complicated a concept for the ditto heads of the GOP so I have no problem using Germany as a a "socialist" example and rubbing their faces in reality.

I do know the Repub-tards are triumphalists - to them winning means God is on their side, etc. To lose is like getting their manhood removed (See the movie "Patton" with he opening monologue - that pretty much is right wing American ideology in a nutshell). So with that in mind, bringing up how Germany is kicking our asses and eating our lunch makes them freak out.

LOOOOOOOSERS!!!! LOOOOOOOOOSERS!!!!!!

Republican ideology FAILED!!!! and is for LOOOOOOOOOOOSERS!

Nope, that ain't right. Individuals fail, the system is a success, even if half the American people earn so little that they escape paying income tax.

Americans. They work harder than Germans for less money and vacation time. They are not losers. They are SUCKERS!

If I were to raise a family today, I would want to do it in Europe where family values include medical care and a work schedule that actually allows one to spend time with his family.
