It wasn't until 2010 that enough information was collected on the whereabouts of Osama to take action. If Bush had not had the courage he had in the face of enormous criticism, Osama would not have been apparently found.
Now, I know I’m not going to change the minds of any of the True Believers…those who read all of Reverend Al’s sermons, and say things like, “You know, global warming can mean warmer OR colder, wetter OR drier, cloudier OR sunnier, windier OR calmer, …”. Can I get an ‘amen’??

He was a benefactor of the of the system Bush set up and it wasn't until 2010 that the Bush's eavsdropping program (which Obama and all the moonbats called him a criminal for instituting) gave the big break needed. -- It took years of work for intelligence agencies to identify the courier's real name, which officials are not disclosing. When they did identify him, he was nowhere to be found. The CIA's sources didn't know where he was hiding. Bin Laden was famously insistent that no phones or computers be used near him, so the eavesdroppers at the National Security Agency kept coming up cold. Then in the middle of last year, the courier had a telephone conversation with someone who was being monitored by U.S. intelligence, according to an American official, who like others interviewed for this story spoke only on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation. The courier was located somewhere away from bin Laden's hideout when he had the discussion, but it was enough to help intelligence officials locate and watch him. In August 2010, the courier unknowingly led authorities to a compound in the northeast Pakistani town of Abbottabad, where al-Libi had once lived. The walls surrounding the property were as high as 18 feet and topped with barbed wire. Intelligence officials had known about the house for years, but they always suspected that bin Laden would be surrounded by heavily armed security guards. I don't know about OBL needing Bush although in retrospect it does seem that way, but Bush certainly needed OBL. I look at it as the Oil Guys seem to cover for each other.

The program to which you are referring was started by Bill Clinton and was done by NSA. The calls in question here were undertaken by the CIA outisde of the US in the course of intelligence gathering on targets of interest. But keep trying to muddy the waters. In summary, Bush wanted by bypass the obtrusive FISA courts to catch terrorists and did so. Clinton took the same position. Yet, you call Bush a criminal for doing so. Also, it was legal to simply gather info on the IDs of calls, but not necessarily the content. Hoewver, if one party of a call was a known terrorist, then pursuing the content is totally justifiable. Bush's positions without a doubt led to Osama's capture. The Kenyan knew they were good policies, too, as he has continued to use them (after he and all other moonbats said Bush was a criminal for using them).

I've pointed out the problem that you have promoting that alternate reality...the NSA and the CIA are two different agencies and the NSA program targets calls of which one party is inside the US. This wiretap was a CIA op done overseas on a target already identified.
