Schieffer interviews Paul Ryan, tries to back him into a corner and fails.... I can't embed the video (it's locked) so you will have to go to YouTube to view it.
The insanity is the fact that the GOP is responsible for most of it and are now bitching about it.
We told them that you cannot cut taxes...we told them that you cannot spend money like a drunken sailor...every time a bill came up to authorize funds for the war, the GOP flipped out when the dems insisted that they pay for it....
It's the truth...most of the debt that we have we incurred under republicans...you walking away does not make that any less true...
I know it's true. The majority of our debt occurred under Republican administrations. That's not what makes me want to exit the conversation.
What makes me want to exit the conversation are these two simple facts; I am not a Republican and Congress controls the purse, not the president.
Reagan increased the debt +11.3% in his first term and +9.3% in his second, but it was with the aid of a Dem controlled House.
George H W Bush increased the debt +15.0% in one term, but with a Dem controlled House AND Senate.
We are in debt, not up to our asses, but far over our heads. Arguing that one party put us there is, again no offense, simply nonsense. R's and D's are equally to blame, but they certainly do benefit when we're arguing the merits of one over the other, like we're taking sides in a football game, while we all continue to go further into debt.
How will we ever pay the debt if we have to print and borrow more just to pay the interest?
It's absolute insanity.
Exactly. We are 'here'. And when you point out this is quite insane, no matter how you look at it from a busienss standpoint, the uber Leftwingers will fall apart, and change the topic to bashing Bush, or the GOP...as if that has anything to do with 'here and now'.
It no longer matters 'who'. We're at the point if we don't cut the House off cold turkey, the slim chance we can get out of this financial mess will dissipate completely.

The fact is, Boof...dems all throughout Bush's reign of error were predicting fiscal clamity. They were laughed at. "Cutting taxes ALWAYS increases revenues!!!" You were screaming for a tax cut 2 years ago.

His viewpoint, because it's different than yours??? Or that you think I might agree with him???
Did you know that the amount of millionaires in this country doubled after the Bush tax cuts?????? That's from an IRS article I read a few years ago.....

I don't believe that there is any political commentator who has been more discredited over any topic than Rush Limbaugh. It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing; it's a matter of whether or not Limbaugh is an "authority". He is not.

His lies about his lengthy drug addiction and his history of rants comparing those like him to human debris, did him in.

What 'did him in' for me was his poor impersonation of a conservative and trying to pass his neoconservative ideology off as conservatism.
Ever notice, the one word you NEVER hear on Fox News or programs like Hannity and Limbaugh, is 'neoconservative'?
They won't even speak the word but they preach the ideology all day and night, 24/7/365.
Shills like Hannity and Limbaugh, now pretending to be small government conservatives would be laughable, if they're fawning and salivating audiences weren't so large.
Partisan politics, D's v R's is a shell game with no pea. No way to win.
The reality is now simply this: Who will be less restrictive, less apt to steal our freedom and wealth, and screw us less. The GOP is the winner of the lesser of Two Evils.
Both are drunk with power and unending, astronomical spending.
Whereas the neocon/Elite-controlled GOP openly wastes our wealth and assets on unnecessary wars and no-win trade agreements, the Dems achieve the same goal, only they've openly declared war on Whitey, Christians, the unborn, and "bitter" gun-clingers as well.
Verdict: The nod goes to the GOP as the lesser of Two Evils.
There's a conundrum for conservatives and libertarians. When is enough enough? For Dems and the Left, The Game has totally gone their way for the last 45 years. They are in the catbird seat.

Meanwhile, the numbers in the article ring true...but hey, lets change that subject to bashing Limbaugh...because Owe-bama's view is demonstably insane when compared to Ryan's....
Clinton raised taxes and revenues increased a trillion dollars in 7 years.
Let's not forget the GOP's House controlled the purse-strings most of that time...
Tax Revenues may have risen, but it only meant the gooberment could allocate and waste more money on growing the number of goobermint agencies, programs, departments, and higher compensation for goobs.
The #1 item of waste in the goobermint is "DEFENSE" SPENDING. It's been the case since WWII and both Parties are Guilty.

Now since some of you have had a chance to read the article lets take it slightly further. What it didn't say is that somewhere between 40 and 50% of the people in this country pay "NO" taxes whatsoever.... In fact I've seen some reports that some people have gotten a refund check, even when they didn't even have any taxes "WITHHELD" from their paychecks to start with....
So do you all think it's fair that many people don't pay any taxes????? Would you like to see that change????? The solution is easy.....Does anybody have a guess on what kind of tax would solve the problem?????

I think we've been moving left for longer than that [45 years.]
Technically and probably it's begun in earnest since the coincidental establishment of both the Federal Income Tax in 1913 and establishment of the Bankster's Federal Reserve - along with the start of WWI.
Some people might see the stock market crash, depression and FDR as a collective catalyst of socialism, while others point to the establishment of the UN.
[When is enough enough?]
That is the question. For me, enough is enough, right now. Repubs have moved too far left. I can't move with them.
I could support and vote for them as the lesser of two evils, but I'd still be supporting and voting for moving left. I just can't do it.
If they nominate a conservative, then things change, at least for me, but the odds of that are minuscule.
We all realize the NWO has hijacked most of the key places in government, finance, and media. The Fix is pretty much in. And you're right - no overtly pro-US sovereignty/conservative will be allowed by the NWO-elite machine to become a serious candidate.
So how can it be played, realizing we're again stuck between pragmatism and principle? Does the GOP give us any shot at stringing the globalists' plan out this time around? Is there an outside chance that it give the right people a chance to right this ship? Maybe. I don't like those odds either, but...
...I know one thing - if 0bama wins again, we have ZERO fighting chance of stationing enough of the right people in the right position to help take back the ship.

Of course not, and yes, SOME parasites actually get an unearned check from the governmentthe Taxpayers for being lazy, socialist-voting slobs.
Would you like to see that change????? The solution is easy.....Does anybody have a guess on what kind of tax would solve the problem?????
A "Parasite Tax"?
:-)
What did you have in mind?
Frankly, there ought to be 'Workfare' problems that address public works as in the 1930s - the hell with peoples' "esteem" and the socialist-Dems' characterization of it as "degrading" and "slave-like."

While Bush's governance was admittedly quite insane if you ask me, the degree of insane of both 0bama and his supporters who ignore the red elephant on the poop-deck is off-the-charts.
0bama's only "policy" is undoubtedly setting fire to the USS America from stem-to-stern while his dopey supporters ignore the raging inferno and b*tch about Dubya.

The debt ceiling has to be raised. The US needs to pay its obigations. PERIOD.
What good is paying for it with monopoly money dripping with wet ink?
Why doesn't the goobermint just scale back it's spending by a good 20%, beginning with the Defense budget, paring down redundant/innecessary Federal agencies, and reducing goob worker "entitlements" that are absurd?

So people not even born yet should pay back this crap plus interest for all their lives if you get a chance to be born without being wacked by some "pro choice" liberal?
No. Thomas Jefferson was right. The earth belongs to the living.
Jefferson was right; Franklin was right about, "It's a Republic - if you can keep it," and Larry Sinclair was right about 0bama...
The biggest problem we face is the Commie, Founders-Hating punk in the Oval Office whose only goal is to terrorize, rape and sodomize the USA by the time he leaves office. The second biggest problem are the idiots, ignoramuses, and traitors who support him. The third biggest problem are the Cowards in High Places who won't expose 0bama and help save the country.
That said, the Kenyan and Bubba and Bush have ALL made a mockery of the Constitution and worked to sabotage this nation.
