They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning on whether and when his right leg will be amputated. To: e_type_jag (#26) (Edited) I hated Reagan and still was very upset when he was shot early in his presidency. I never wish harm on anyone. It is against my religion to wish physical harm on people merely for not liking them. I came across one guy broke down on the I-5 two years ago on the way to Portland from Eugene. He had turned the garden hose on me during a tree sit I did to save a tree at the Sheldon-Mac Murphy Johnson house near Skinner's Butte. I had responded to the water by ignoring him and continuing to sit on my platform while he was being a baby. He lived nearby and also had yelled several time driving by and after the sit was over he would ignore me if he was alone, and taunted me if he saw me at the restaurant near that Museum and his place if he had his two muscular pit bulls on leashes with him. I always ignored him for the most part. I stopped and gave him a ride to the next exit with services and then drove him back to his car and went on my way. I was trained in how to stay non-violent during protests, and ultimately this guy apologized a month after I helped him and we get along now. I guess you could call me chicken-shit and cowardly; but sometimes it just takes more courage and self control to treat others as you would have them treat you. And I am human, I was not exactly feeling warm fuzzy thoughts about him as I helped him. But I have good self control. A skill that took me decades to develop. I have done my share of lash back actions when younger. But as I get older, I try to enhance my wisdom rather than to compound my ignorance.
