I suspect I have been in more gun shops than you,and I know I have worked in more gun shops than you,and I NEVER had the guy behind the counter offer to show me how the gun operated,or saw them do that with anybody else that didn't ask for help. This is because of the reason above,almost everybody buying guns already knows how the gun they are buying operates,or they wouldn't be buying it. This is especially true with guns because there are only a few basic types of actions. I repeat,ANYBODY that has to be shown how to unlock the slide on a pump shotgun is NOT an experienced hunter or shooter. Her father either isn't all that experienced or he thinks she is a really lousy shot to miss a stationary caribou multiple times at 100 yards with a scope sighted rifle. Your choice. Those are the only two possibilities. BTW,while we are on the subject,how many scopes have YOU installed and sighted in? I'd be willing to bet it is far fewer than I have installed and sighted in.
