Horrifying Sex Abuse Experts Source: [None] URL Source: http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20 ... -children-that-groping-them-is Published: Dec 4, 2010 Author: staff Post Date: 2010-12-04 18:06:46 by out damned spot Views: 100 Comments: 9 Apparently TSA agents are being told that one way to handle the new groping pat downs for children is to try to make it out to be some sort of "game." This is apparently horrifying some sex abuse experts who point out that a common tactic in abuse cases is to tell the kids that they're just "playing a game." The TSA has said that the newer patdowns will not apply to children under 12, but the rules have been somewhat unclear -- leading to the statement from a TSA director, James Marchand: "You try to make it as best you can for that child to come through. If you can come up with some kind of a game to play with a child, it makes it a lot easier." He also said that the idea of making it a game would become a part of the TSA's training. Ken Wooden, who runs an organization to try to stop sex abuse of children was not pleased: "How can experts working at the TSA be so incredibly misinformed and misguided to suggest that full body pat downs for children be portrayed as a game?" Wooden asked in an email. "To do so is completely contrary to what we in the sexual abuse prevention field have been trying to accomplish for the past thirty years." Burma Shave. #2. To: Wood_Chopper (#0) I'm telling you. The Nazi/Collective State will never stop until destroyed. they want you as an obedient slave. Or die.
#3. To: Wood_Chopper (#0) This is apparently horrifying some sex abuse experts It should horrify everybody. What the HELL are these people thinking? The only explanation I can come up with is the feral official that came up with this is a child molester and sees nothing wrong with making a game out of fondling children. "I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago." (Sarah Palin,Dec 2009) ************************************ DID Palin say or write these things or not? (Me) I don't know or F ing care. To: Wood_Chopper (#0) Positions that enable people to abuse children often attract people who want to abuse children. Teachers, daycare workers, Priests, and now TSA agents. Whoever came up with this game idea should be immediately investigated -- thorough background check and psychological screening. He's probably a sex offender. "It's very important to remember the law is not simply what powerful people would want others to believe it is." -- Julian Assange #5. To: Wood_Chopper, All (#0) Of course this has all been made possible only by this:
Is the State of Emergency Superseding our Constitution? Address to the Commonwealth Club, San Francisco, November 23, 2010 In July 1987, during the Iran-Contra Hearings grilling of Oliver North, the American public got a glimpse of “highly sensitive” emergency planning North had been involved in. Ostensibly North had been handling plans for an emergency response to a nuclear attack (a legitimate concern). But press accounts alleged that the planning was for a more generalized suspension of the constitution at the president’s determination. As part of its routine Iran-contra coverage, the following exchange was printed in the New York Times, but without journalistic comment or follow-up: [Congressman Jack] Brooks: Colonel North, in your work at the N.S.C. were you not assigned, at one time, to work on plans for the continuity of government in the event of a major disaster? Both North’s attorney and Sen. Daniel Inouye, the Democratic Chair of the Committee, responded in a way that showed they were aware of the issue: Brendan Sullivan [North's counsel, agitatedly]: Mr. Chairman? [Senator Daniel] Inouye: I believe that question touches upon a highly sensitive and classified area so may I request that you not touch upon that? Brooks: I was particularly concerned, Mr. Chairman, because I read in Miami papers, and several others, that there had been a plan developed, by that same agency, a contingency plan in the event of emergency, that would suspend the American constitution. And I was deeply concerned about it and wondered if that was an area in which he had worked. I believe that it was and I wanted to get his confirmation. Inouye: May I most respectfully request that that matter not be touched upon at this stage. If we wish to get into this, I'm certain arrangements can be made for an executive session.[1] Brooks was responding to a story by Alfonzo Chardy in the Miami Herald. about Oliver North’s involvement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in planning for “Continuity of Government” (COG). According to Chardy, the plans envisaged “suspension of the Constitution, turning control of the government over to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, emergency appointment of military commanders to run state and local governments and declaration of martial law during a national crisis.”[2] COG The war on terror was administratively implemented in three National Security Presidential Directives, NSPDs 7, 8, and 9. All three are classified, and the topics of two of them are unknown. The third, NSPD 9 of October 25, 2001, directed the Secretary of Defense to plan military options against both Taliban and al Qaeda targets in Afghanistan.[15] The October date is misleading. A version of the directive calling for covert action in Afghanistan had been approved by principals on September 4, 2001, one week before 9/11.[16] An enhanced plan for military action in Afghanistan, had been approved by Bush on September 17; and the same document “directed the Pentagon to begin planning military options for an invasion of Iraq.”[17] Perhaps the most significant domestic product from Cheney’s trimester mirabilis was the Patriot Act of October 25, 2001. Congress was given only one week to pass this 340-page bill, which in the opinion of researchers “was already written and ready to go long before September 11th.”[18] In 2007 the Justice Department acknowledged that FBI agents had abused the Patriot Act more than 1000 times. We should not forget that the Patriot Act was only passed after lethal weapons-grade anthrax letters were mailed to two crucial Democratic Senators – Senators Daschle and Leahy – who had initially questioned the bill. After the anthrax letters, however, they withdrew their initial opposition.[19] Someone -- we still do not know who – must have planned those anthrax letters well in advance.[20] This is a fact most Americans do not want to think about. 8D Just sayin'. 8D
#6. To: sneakypete (#3) My fear pete, is that because of this absolute bullshit, pedophiles are already telling kids, "Let's play TSA." And the sheep will bleat their submission,
Burma Shave. #7. To: (#6) lol. another day of hard intense bitchery. maybe if you vote real hard the tsa will go away. Long live the Taliban Freedom Fighters! #8. To: Wood_Chopper (#6) My fear pete, is that because of this absolute bullshit, pedophiles are already telling kids, "Let's play TSA." That's nothing to fear because they have been playing variations of that "game" ever since it became illegal to have sex with children. What we need to fear is this type of thing being accepted as normal by both the kids and by society. All anybody has to do that thinks this is a big stretch has to do is look at the things that have already became accepted as "normal" over the last 50 years. Great info in that post James; thanks.
#10. To: mcgowanjm (#5) The two votes even along with Russ Russ Feingold's would not have prevented the passage. Please play again. -----------------------------------------------------------
#11. To: sneakypete (#8) What we need to fear is this type of thing being accepted as normal by both the kids and by society. Agreed. Be ready to be ridiculed by the "enlightened" though. I've lost friends and people who thought they were my "family" over fighting the fight. And the sheep will bleat their submission,
Burma Shave. #12. To: WhiteSands (#10) The two votes even along with Russ Russ Feingold's would not have prevented the passage. The Act had to get out of committee. those two were key in holding up the passage. And the perps were never caught. The Reichstag fire. And this now: Perhaps the most significant domestic product from Cheney’s trimester mirabilis was the Patriot Act of October 25, 2001. Congress was given only one week to pass this 340-page bill, which in the opinion of researchers “was already written and ready to go long before September 11th.”[18] In 2007 the Justice Department acknowledged that FBI agents had abused the Patriot Act more than 1000 times. In the Senate it only takes one to stop legislation. See coburn for details. ;}
#13. To: Fred Mertz (#9) We should not forget that the Patriot Act was only passed after lethal weapons-grade anthrax letters were mailed to two crucial Democratic Senators – Senators Daschle and Leahy – who had initially questioned the bill. Just acknowledging reality is enough. ;}
