And you should try a diesel pickup. I guarantee you spend an afternoon with a Cummins turbo, and you won't want anything else. I love them, but.. sadly, I'm just too fucking cheap to spend that kind of money. Can't do it, my hand simply refuses to write a check that big.
Here's my junker in it's current state of decay..
I know it looks kind of rough.. but I think most of that will buff right out and I've found that fenders are over rated and just too heavy to be taken seriously.

A little chickenwire and paper maché and nobody'll notice the difference. Heck, I used to see vehicles like that on the Ohio turnpike all the time... Of course, that was maybe 20~25 years ago.
I agree that fenders are over-rated, on the highway. But on my "roads," you need all the weight and accesories you can cram onto a pickup. On Ozark country roads, I wouldn't be caught dead with anything less than my 3/ 4 ton Ford. Every I know who has got the bucks is switching to diesel right now. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and get one sooner or later. Can put it down under "business expenses."

Best thing about these is they're so cheap to fix right in the first place, there's really no need.
Got both rockers, cab corners and a weld in cab mount, delivered, today for $50.23
I'm going to patch some old doors I picked up, but the rest of it (fenders and probably the bed) is so cheap to buy new, I just can't imagine going to allot of effort for it.
The tormented screams of pinched pennies echo around these parts..
You can download these and watch them on your computer or buy a DVD player that plays divx files. You can get one at walmart for fourty bucks. Or at compusa or target.
