Hundreds Ride With Boy to Show Support For His U.S. Flag
Boy Whose School Forced Him To Take Flag Off Bike Because Of Threats Gets Escort To School From Hundreds Of Bikers.
Everyday, their mail box is going to be crammed full of envelopes, each bearing an American Flag.....
Denair Middle School is about to get a lot more patriotic. A group is sending a million U.S. flags to the school after hearing school officials asked a student to remove a flag from his bike.
Rhonda Lyn Cooper, with TexasTimesToday.com said she got a link to FOX40's story about 13-year-old Cody being asked to remove his American Flag. Her friends told her "you gotta check out this story ... You will be shocked."
"At first I thought this was a joke, who would take an American flag away from a child," Cooper told FOX40.

No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
1. The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
2. The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
3. The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
4. The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
5. The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
6. The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.
7. The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
8. The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
9. The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
10. No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
11. The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning
In the olden days (when I was growing up), displays of the flag that many think are patriotic now, would have been considered disrespectful.

Read the g-damn article you dumb ass bimbo. In your case, growing up fat, lazy and stupid is not the same as growing up smart, educated and well informed~

I have never noticed that calling someone a "dumb ass bimbo" made the target one iota smarter, so one might assume the name calling fit is for your own benefit - to give a little boost to your sinking sense of self worth.
Now perhaps there is an article here that clearly states how the flag is displayed, but I don't see it. What I do see are some video links - too bad my computer isn't doing video at the moment.
In any case, I am happy to have rendered service to you and the community you live in by giving you the chance to vent and pat your self on the back for being so cleverly vile. Badeye is VERY impressed, you should be pleased with yourself.

goofy, its amusing because I have no doubt given your age you probably wore an American flag on your ASS at some point.
Thanks for the hearty laughter here!
Having started school on the heels of WWII, in a United States where most adults had served the war effort in one way or another, I was probably educated much differently than you imagine.
My contemporaries may have burned the flag, But I don't recall anyone who wore it on the "ASS" - it may have happened somewhere, I just never saw it or knew anyone who would have thought of such a thing.

There's a clue in the title....where would you display a flag if you were a kid with a bike?
Maybe you think the answer is clear because you lack imagination?

I fail to see how this child was in any way disrespectful of the American Flag. Because of this, I don't see how anyone is in support of the schools insane action here.
Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

This is question I asked Murron that freaked her out, "How was the flag displayed?". Now I'm asking you, was the flag displayed in a way that violated the rules? How about rule number 5.
5. The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
Try not to let that knee-jerk thing smack you in the head.

I see bikers I ride with all the time flying American flags (plural in the case of one) from their Harleys.
I do too. It is odd to see the flag used in ways that my generation was taught were disrespectful by people who feel they are demonstrating their patriotism.
Whats your specific beef?
No beef. Simply exploring the ignorance of so-called patriots when it pertains to the flag.

You are trying to sell the idea a far lefty like you is concerned with proper flag etiquette? What is proper flag etiquette for burning and otherwise defacing for purposes of liberal demonstrations?
Well, [war's] got to do something for attention, his multiple personalities aren't speaking to him any more, and his imaginary friends keep finding excuses not to come over. (Murron)

The engine's running, but there's no one behind the wheel...lol

Great insight from the limbaughtimized.

In the sense that I loose sleep over it - no.
I doubt the boy with the flag on his bike, or the bikers who came to support him are aware of the rules regarding the care and display of the flag. I'm sure that just like the early tea party supporters that called themselves "tea-baggers" and wore tea bags suspended from their glasses and hats, they are ignorant.
The rules are there, I supplied a link. Now that you know they exist and what they are you can decide for yourself if they are worth bothering about.
That's it - no more and no less. I have exhausted all I have to say on the matter.

Disrespectful?
Ah, no. Is flying an American Flag off the stern of a small watercraft 'disrespectful'?
Nope.
You havent explained how this young boy's displaying the flag is 'disrespectful' by the way. Throughout WWII, kids had flags displayed on their bikes. Same during Korea, Vietnam. I don't see where its 'disrespectful' nor do I see anything in your comments explaining how it is 'disrespectful'.
This kid is PROUD of his country. We need more of that among the young.
I find burning a flag in protest 'disrespectful' in the extreme...but I don't advocate a law making it illegal.
I do advocate a law allowing a veteran to punch the sucker out that does it however, with no civil or criminal penalty (laughing)
Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.
Goofy, you refering to anyone as 'ignorant' given your posts is simply laughable.
Oh gee whiz Badeye, you laugh at everything.
