Discuss! ------- FWIW, I voted about 8 AM this morning, there was absolutely no line and I was in and out in 5 minutes. In 2008 I waited a good 20 minutes to vote. Blumenthal Bests McMahon For Conn. Senate Seat Never swear "allegiance" to anything other than the 'right to change your mind'! #70. To: Brian S (#69) (Edited) Machin wins WV Senate. Ayotte wins NH Senate
#71. To: All (#70) CNN exit poll in PA has Toomey up 51-49, within the margin of error.
#72. To: All (#71) As of now, GOP up 2 in the Senate, but control is almost out of reach. GOP up 5 in the House. 538 model shows 55-56 gain.
#73. To: go65 (#68) Manchin wins WV. So what's he going to do when he gets to the Senate since he had to win by throwing the Kenyan under the bus and he is a lame duck up for another election in 2 years? Do you think Obama will be inviting him on stage for teleprompter celebrations?
#74. To: no gnu taxes (#73) So what's he going to do when he gets to the Senate since he had to win by throwing the Kenyan under the bus and he is a lame duck up for another election in 2 years? well, he'll caucus with the Democrats, which is probably the most important thing to them right now.
#75. To: Brian S (#74) Freepers are lashing out at Karl Rove and arguing that Coons stole the election. Non-reality at its finest.
#76. To: go65 (#74) Do you think Obama will be inviting him on stage for teleprompter celebrations? he'll caucus with the Democrats, which is probably the most important thing to them right now. Will those Democrats be supporting the Kenyan with a 29% approval rating in WV?
#77. To: All (#75) models are showing a 55-57 seat gain for the GOP in the House, despite the hype, this is looking a lot more like 1994 then it is some sort of tidal wave for the GOP.
#78. To: no gnu taxes (#76) Will those Democrats be supporting the Kenyan with a 29% approval rating in WV? they supported him enough to give him a vote in the Senate tonight. Oh, and Manchin is up by over 10% right now.
#79. To: no gnu taxes (#76) Who's the Kenyan? “You know, the two wars that we’re in right now is exactly what we’re in.” - Sharron Angle, Tea Party Loon and future US Senator #80. To: Skip Intro (#79) it's very early, but Dems are up big in PA and IL senate races.
#81. To: All (#80) to close to call in the race for Feingold's Senate seat in WI.
#82. To: All (#81) Thune, Gillibrand, Schumer, all win easily. Martin O'Malley stays Gov. or MD
#83. To: go65 (#78) they supported him enough to give him a vote in the Senate tonight. Only after he threw Obama under the bus.
#84. To: All (#82) Andrew Cuomo wins NY Gov, another tea partier bites the dust.
#85. To: go65 (#75) Freepers are lashing out at Karl Rove and arguing that Coons stole the election He'll come up with some ultra-libs like Romney, Jindal, and Palin, and all will be forgiven. Witches aren't socialist enough for them anyway. They were only supporting her because of an R. Globalist, NWO, war mongers like Bush and McStain are what they crave. They miss Bush so.
#86. To: All (#84) Silver says Sestak running better than expected in PA, but Giannoulias is struggling in IL.
#87. To: Fred Mertz (#33) I'm still asking myself why no cell phones in 2010 in the polls???? Philippines election: Doubts arise over electronic voting machines ... Mar 9, 2010 ... But in tests, the voting machines rejected ballots and failed to connect to the cell phone networks to transmit results. www.csmonitor.com/.../Phi...lectronic-voting-machines
#88. To: All (#86) (Edited) 4 blue dog Democrats have gone down already tonight. edit - make that 6.
#89. To: mcgowanjm (#87) Dang, James, you're good. Thanks!
#90. To: go65 (#88) make that 6. Liberals are taking a beat down. I'm lovin' it!
#91. To: Skip Intro, brian S, lucysmom, badeye (#89) Silver now projects a 60 seat gain for the GOP in the House. Meanwhile, in badeye's home:
Another Democrat whose results look reasonably robust early on is Ted Strickland, the incumbent governor of Ohio. Below is a side-by-side comparison of his performance this year and Barack Obama's in 2008, when he won the state by 5 points. As you can see, Mr. Strickland is performing well in essentially all of the areas where Barack Obama did, save perhaps for a little bit of weakness in the Cleveland and Cincinnati suburbs, while doing considerably better than Mr. Obama in the southwestern portion of the state. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to win, since his turnout won't be as heavy as Mr. Obama's in places like Cleveland. Still, this is the sort of pattern you might expect to see from a Democrat who ekes out a narrow victory in Ohio.
#92. To: Ibluafartsky (#90) Liberals are taking a beat down. I'm lovin' it! uh, the blue dogs are conservatives.
#93. To: go65 (#92) uh, the blue dogs are conservatives. If they vote with the liberals or are beaten by a conservative, they aren't conservative enough. Deal with it.
#94. To: All (#92) Deval Patrick wins MA Gov.
#95. To: All (#94) Nevada is now closed.....
#96. To: go65 (#94) Deval Patrick wins MA Gov. That's about as surprising as learning Barney Frank is a faggot!
#97. To: Ibluafartsky (#96) i'm listening to talking heads on MSNBC wondering how the GOP will actually cut spending when they refuse to detail how they will cut spending. Next year is going to be very interesting.
#98. To: go65 (#97) i'm listening to talking heads on MSNBC wondering
No doubt you are! Are they crying yet? Repeal Obama's healthcare boondoggle would be a good start.
#99. To: go65 (#97) i'm listening to talking heads on MSNBC wondering how the GOP will actually cut spending when they refuse to detail how they will cut spending. Next year is going to be very interesting. Now that they've won the House, that promise is no longer operational. Wait until 2012 when they'll bring it up again. “You know, the two wars that we’re in right now is exactly what we’re in.” - Sharron Angle, Tea Party Loon and future US Senator #100. To: go65 (#97) Is that the only point under your hat? I think I have read the same whine out of you for the last six months, day in and day out. Stop beating a dead horse. Well, [war's] got to do something for attention, his multiple personalities aren't speaking to him any more, and his imaginary friends keep finding excuses not to come over. (Murron) #101. To: Fred Mertz (#89) ;}
#102. To: mcgowanjm (#101) (Edited) Tancredo loses in CO GOV race. Yet another Palinite loses. If the GOP candidate finishes with less than 10%, by law the GOP gets "minor party status" and is limited in future ballot position and funds.
#103. To: All (#102) sestak holding a 4.5% lead with about 70% of PA precincts reporting. Kirk down in IL still as well.
#104. To: Rudgear (#100) Stop beating a dead horse. Talk about beating a dead horse "Well, [war's] got to do something for attention, his multiple personalities aren't speaking to him any more, and his imaginary friends keep finding excuses not to come over. (Murron)" Merchants have no country. The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains. Thomas Jefferson #105. To: go65 (#103) Is Sestak the Dim candidate? Hard to tell the diff betwixt the One Party System...
#106. To: Fred Mertz (#105) Is Sestak the Dim candidate? yes.
#107. To: All (#106) Palin so far: 2 wins, 5 losses, 32 TBD. Tea Party: 14 wins, 21 losses, 115 TBD
#108. To: All (#107) Nikki Haley wins SC-GOV.
#109. To: go65 (#102) Tancredo loses in CO GOV race. Are you sure? Moosebreath just endorsed him yesterday. “You know, the two wars that we’re in right now is exactly what we’re in.” - Sharron Angle, Tea Party Loon and future US Senator . . .
