I gave RP $100 in hopes his rhetoric would match the fire his supporters expressed. It didn't, and when Wolf Blitzer all but told him to shut up and let McCain speak during their last 'debate', I knew the Wally Cox of politics lacked the cajones to actually do what he knows has to be done.

Since McCain has never been put into a situation where he was not rolled out the red carpet by the media you have no idea how he would have reacted either. It was quite evident from the get go RP was NOT among the top official GOP choices and it would require some effort. But the party won, they got the choice THEY could live with.
