Economy Title: Budget Deficit in U.S. Narrows 13% to $90.5 Billion on Rising Tax Receipts The U.S. government posted a smaller budget deficit in August compared with the same month last year, helped by rising tax receipts. The excess of spending over revenue totaled $90.5 billion last month, smaller than the median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg News and down 13 percent from $103.6 billion in August 2009, according to a Treasury Department report issued today in Washington. The gap for the fiscal year that started in October was $1.26 trillion compared with $1.37 trillion last year at the same time. The economic recovery has helped generate more tax revenue for the Treasury, even as the Congressional Budget Office forecasts the deficit this fiscal year will reach $1.34 trillion, the second-largest on record. The Obama administration faces the challenge of trying to limit the shortfall while stimulating an economy with joblessness close to 10 percent. If I'm broke, and write rubber checks for *only* $10K more than I made last month, I'd be in pokey for check-kiting...! Saying "it was better than last year, when I wrote bad checks for $12K, does NOT make it better... DC is OUT of control.
The current members of the "You're a worthless sack of shit" list includes WAR, calcon, e_type_jack-off, mad-dog (more like rabidly stupid), ibluafartsky and the fascism-shill no gnu taxes (aka 400 bucks, happyfunball, 50yardline, etc, etc.) If you're on the list, don't bother writing, 'cause you're a waste of flesh. #2. Ahh - but if you use a credit card instead of writing a check...

Sorry, I can't take seriously a source that leads off with the above.
#6. To: lucysmom (#5) This truth? Keep in mind that Nebby claimed that Obama was POTUS in 2008. That's HIS brand of truth.
#7. To: war, Nebuchadnezzar (#6) Keep in mind that Nebby claimed that Obama was POTUS in 2008. His brand of truth isn't useful in the real world.
#8. To: lucysmom (#5) Sorry, he uses Treasury's own numbers. I knew you were delusional and not beneath propagating a lie. But you're a liar, thus very comfortable with spreading lies.
