Weird Stuff/Unexplained Title: Paging Dr. Howard, Dr, Fine Dr, Howard But Not Dr. Johnson I have NEVER gone to a black physician. I value my health. I was in Pre-Med in college, and I remember how the blacks got pushed thru with little to no effort, while the rest of the class (white and asian) was up all night studying....and LEARNING. There might be some smart black doctors, but I won't take a chance on getting one of those pushed thru. Nope. They can't function. And they could kill you with their incompetence. #2. To: Bartcoprules (#1) I was in Pre-Med in college IIRC, she's also claimed Pre-law, Engineering and Social Work as her college disciplines.
#3. To: war (#2) She would have been an interesting social worker.

#6. To: Bartcoprules (#3) I was in Pre-Med in college Thankfully I see all posts until I login. Any butthole can be Pre-Med, as long as you can meet the standards and pay tuition. They get sorted out pretty fast, where do you think bean counters and "hospital administrators" come from. She was a freakin' data clerk when I worked with her, and we got her shoved on us via departmental transfer. No way any engineering schooling. Goldi is from Brooklyn, a low class area of south Baltimore city. Her family later moved up to Glen Burnie, a low class area of north Anne Arundel county just south of the city. No way she had any clue about engineering, she passed my data items I dropped on her desk without editing. Is it time to take out the trash? To: Bartcoprules (#3) I left out a good one. I had a frat brother who started out as a physics major in the science curriculum. He dropped to engineering (same thing) quickly, then business, then home economics (girl stuff, aka Mrs degree) and failed to graduate because he failed Business Math (aka 4 function calculator stuff) 3X. His cum was low but at least 2.0 as I recall. Is it time to take out the trash? Post Date: 2010-07-14 11:48:27 by A K A Stone We know who you mean. #9. #13. To: war (#0) (Edited) In all fairness, she does have a legitimate point, although she's doing a horrible job trying to explain it. The point is, in a society where government quotas rather than merit is responsible for one's place in life, how do you know that a doctor, lawyer, etc. is actually qualified? In short, you don't. So, affirmative action in college may drive MORE mistrust and segregation in the real world, because people tend not to trust those who may have been affirmative action beneficiaries, especially in critical areas like medicine.
#14. To: jwpegler (#13) She's nowhere near correct and I can smell her bullshit a mile away. She's claimed to have done so much that she's a kereoke version of a Frank Sinatra song, mon frer. That said, no quota got me my job.
#15. To: jwpegler (#13) The point is, in a society where government quotas rather than merit is responsible for one's place in life, how do you know that a doctor, lawyer, etc. is actually qualified? What about legacy admissions to Universities? Family name? The old boy network?
#16. To: lucysmom (#15) What about legacy admissions to Universities? Family name? The old boy network? Here's the difference: One college could have a legacy program and other may not. When the government gets involved, everyone must obey their program, or be fined or worse. This creates a widespread stigma in society against everyone who could qualify for affirmative action, i.e., blacks, whether or not they were actually qualified. Insofar as family name is concerned, do you trust second and third generation Kennedy's, Rockefeller's, etc. NO. No one does, because everyone knows that these trust fund babies usually turn out pretty poorly. So, bringing them up is a red herring in the grander scheme of things.
#17. To: jwpegler (#16) Insofar as family name is concerned, do you trust second and third generation Kennedy's, Rockefeller's, etc. NO. No one does, because everyone knows that these trust fund babies usually turn out pretty poorly. and then there's George W.
#18. To: lucysmom (#17) (Edited) and then there's George W. I notice the Goldwaters are all over the TV advertising their ambulance chasing services.
