The Catholic Archdiocese of Boston has revoked a Haitian priests privileges to perform public ministry while hes here after receiving allegations of adult sexual misconduct.
The Rev. Gabriel Michel, a priest of the Archdiocese of Cap-Haitien in Haiti, has served in Boston since 2002, most recently as parochial vicar at St. Angelas Parish in Mattapan and as coordinator of the archdioceses Haitian Apostolate. He has also been chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The Boston archdiocese announced the move Sunday and said it has notified the Most Reverend Louis Kebreau, SDB, Archbishop of Cap-Haitien. No further details of the allegations against the Rev. Michel were provided.
