My article of Monday the 18th of October created a bit of a tempest. I’ve never had an article pulled on a Conservative site before. I’ve been tossed off of a couple of hard lefty sites, but that’s usually just funny. I used to do a daily column on a really hard lefty site… I was astounded that they would publish my Conservative views. We were on there for about six months before someone on their editorial board came up for air long enough to realize that they were featuring a conservative op-ed every day, when they dropped us. We’ve been accidentally picked up by the Huffington Post once or twice too, that’s pretty hilarious. The incident on Monday occurred ...

Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say

Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say The election is two weeks away, but the campaign trail reviews of Sarah Palin already are in, and they aren’t pretty. According to multiple Republican campaign sources, the former Alaska governor wreaks havoc on campaign logistics and planning. She offers little notice about her availability, refuses to do certain events, is obsessive about press coverage and sometimes backs out with as little lead time as she gave in the first place. In short, her seat-of-the-pants operation can be a nightmare to deal with, which, in part, explains why Palin doesn’t often do individual events for GOP hopefuls. It’s not ...

Sarah Palin endorses John Raese for ... Pennsylvania

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin offered her latest endorsement via Twitter on Tuesday, but this one might leave voters a little bit confused. See if you can spot the problem: Palin's endorsement of John Raese is surely welcome, except he is the GOP nominee for the Senate seat in West Virginia vacated by the late Sen. Robert Byrd (D) and currently held by Carte Goodwin. In fairness to Palin, questions have been raised about whether she actually writes her tweets and Facebook posts. Still, now might be a good time for civic-minded Pennsylvanians named Raese to get started on a write-in bid for Congress.

Rush Limbaugh said that on his program on Monday… and it is. Thanks, Rush. You spoke for all of us. I saw the ‘demonic’ photographs and I agree. There is an aspect of evil emanating from this man, this Barack Hussein Obama, whose calculated destruction of the very fabric of this society, the enslavement of our people into abject penury and crushing debt was all but successful. That’s exactly what this Conservative tidal wave is all about. We stop him here and now! This most important election in the history of this nation represents something unique in all the world, and all the world’s history. Never before has a nation risen up as one, in a totally bloodless ...

California – The Other State Of The Union.

California is a mess. No secret to those of us who live here. We’ve been sold down the river so many times by so many different politicians for so long that most people here are disgusted and very, very skeptical. I’m no fan of Meg Whitman, as readers of this column will recall. Jerry Brown is no option either, and certainly no bargain. I remember the messes he started and then left us to deal with… some of which, one way or another, we’re still paying for. Then, after he finished messing up the state he turned his attention to the city of Oakland, which promptly became an ultra-liberal crime and drug-laden ghetto with the highest murder rate in the country. Now he ...

Pictured in pyjamas with a near-naked model - Texas candidate forced to live every politic

Advice for young political players: If you are serious about running for high office, don't be photographed in duckie pyjamas next to a lingerie model. Evidently, Texas Republican House candidate Blake Farenthold didn't get that memo. The Democrats were getting a lot of mileage at Mr Farenthold's expense this week, after managing to get their hands on an embarrassing snap of the married father of two snuggling up to a young woman wearing next to nothing. Political suicide: Democrats have been using this picture of Blake Farenthold, Republican candidate for Texas's 27th district, which was taken at a fancy-dress fundraiser last year There was nothing particularly ...

Republicans Struggle To Say How They Would Pay For Tax Cuts (VIDEO)

On Sunday's morning public affairs shows, both Republican Senate candidates Carly Fiorina in California and Ken Buck in Colorado struggled to give specifics about how they would reduce the deficit while also supporting expensive extensions of the Bush tax cuts. Although journalists ask Republicans this question almost without fail in debates and interviews, candidates and lawmakers still consistently stumble over it. On "Fox News Sunday," host Chris Wallace told Fiorina that he hadn't "gotten many specifics" from her and said, "So now, as a non-career politician, as the anti-Barbara Boxer, you tell me specifically what are you going to do to cut the ...

Pardon my French. I’m referring to the accusations flying from both ends of the political spectrum, and the associated denials by the targets. These to-and-fro volleys are all part of everyday political life, although they do become more vicious, and often desperate and unfounded, as elections loom large on the horizon. I have been accused, on more than one occasion, of being a ‘denier’. Like the good Alinsky student, they use the guilt approach, with more than a smattering of fake disbelief that anyone could hold a view that conflicts with their own… “You don’t believe that man-made global warming exists?!” This is usually followed up with the ...

Obama And The Great Racial Divide.

Post what? Barack Obama has done more to foster the division between racial groupings than all the real redneck racists out there combined… and there’s not nearly as many people busily working against blacks and other minorities as the left would have you believe. With a totally narcissistic, committed ideologue like Barack Hussein Obama, in fact with all totalitarian governments, there must be unrest and a carefully controlled Balkanization, separating groups of people from the so-called mainstream for incredibly vicious attacks based on racial everything. In ugly point of fact, every time I hear a really creepy comment or racial slur it’s invariably a Democrat or a ...

Joe Biden blurts out that he will be Barack Obama's 2012 running mate Joe Biden just can’t keep his mouth shut. OK, I know that’s not exactly breaking news. But at a time when Democrats are supposed to be focussed on the November 2nd mid-terms and Barack Obama has not even announced he will seek a second term, did Biden really need to declare that he’ll be on the 2012 ticket? Here he is shooting from the lip to the New York Times: “I tell you what, there’s real trust, that’s why he’s asked me to run again,” Mr. Biden said Monday, dropping this tidbit at the end of a 40-minute conversation, just before he dashed off to his third fund-raiser of ...

Dem's hippie ad: 'Does not support Pelosi...voted with GOP 65% of the time'

As Democrats in conservative districts scramble to distance themselves from the national Democratic leadership, Georgia Rep. Jim Marshall outdoes the rest with what's a cultural attack ad aimed at contrasting him with Speaker Nancy Pelosi. "Georgia is a long way from San Francisco," drawls the narrator, over images of dancing hippies. "Jim Marshall doesn't support Nancy Pelosi," says the narrator, citing a finding that Marshall voted with Republican leaders 65% of the time." Marshall a similar figure to the one Rep. Bill Owens, an Upstate New York Democrat, did yesterday, making a similar claim. By another measure, Marshall voted with Democrats 88% of ...

Stirling Newberry | Kevin Phillips' American Theocracy

In this he speaks, not to progressives, but to conservatives. He looks at conservatism of things, such as the capital of petroleum, and the conservatism of totems, which is religious zealotry, and rejects them. Kevin Phillips is still a conservative in his heart, but what he is attached to, what is worth conserving to him, is something quite different, namely, a kind of moral rectitude and self-sufficiency. Thus, late in his books, his chapters on debt and the financialization of America - where America ceases to lend, and instead borrows, and ceases to make, and instead consumes - read with the same moral indignation that any sermon might have. He looks upon the "rentier class" ...

George W. Bush 'Holed Up' in Texas: Not Much Demand For Former President

WASHINGTON (AP)-- Former President Bill Clinton is busy on the campaign trail, helping candidates in races from Florida to Washington state. His successor, George W. Bush? Holed up in Texas. Bush left office deeply unpopular and sour on domestic politics. After leaving Washington and returning to Texas, he has kept a low profile, working on his memoir and appearing only occasionally at paid speeches. Aides say he has no plans to be a figure in this year's elections, which could see major gains for the GOP. Republicans, who paid electoral costs in 2006 and 2008 for Bush's unpopularity, are hardly clamoring for the 43rd president to join them on the campaign trail. After all, an ...

Georgia candidate paid nearly $100K to bring Palin to rally

Karen Handel's campaign to win the GOP gubernatorial nomination in Georgia got a big boost when she was endorsed by Sarah Palin this summer. But it can be expensive to be a Mama Grizzly. As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Aaron Gould Sheinin reports, Handel paid nearly $100,000 to bring Palin to an August rally ahead of a crucial runoff in the race. According to newly filed campaign reports with the state Elections Commission, Handel's campaign paid $92,000 to an Ohio-based air charter to fly Palin to the Aug. 9 rally. The campaign also paid $13,000 to rent space at a local hotel to house the event. Handel narrowly lost the GOP nomination to Nathan Deal on Aug. 10. While ...

Why is This GOP House Candidate Dressed as a Nazi?

An election year already notable for its menagerie of extreme and unusual candidates can add another one: Rich Iott, the Republican nominee for Congress from Ohio's 9th District, and a Tea Party favorite, who for years donned a German Waffen SS uniform and participated in Nazi re-enactments. Rich Iott, second from right, in a Nazi SS Waffen uniform. Iott, whose district lies in Northwest Ohio, was involved with a group that calls itself Wiking, whose members are devoted to re-enacting the exploits of an actual Nazi division, the 5th SS Panzer Division Wiking, which fought mainly on the Eastern Front during World War II. Iott's participation in the Wiking group is not mentioned ...

Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell (R) yesterday told Delaware voters a big fib that she worked for a "nonprofit" when doing marketing for Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ," real-world experience that she said claims her best suited to represent the state in office. "What I do is nonprofit work, I take on clients," O'Donnell said when asked about critiques she is unqualified in video you can watch below. "I have a very extensive client history from working with Icon Productions at the 'Passion of the Christ.'" Yes, the same Icon Productions that shattered box office records with "Passion of the Christ" in 2004. ...

Sarah Palin favorability rating at 22% (CBS poll)

Fewer than one in four Americans have a favorable view of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a standing that would present a considerable hurdle if she were to jump into the race for president in 2012, according to a CBS News poll. The poll, released Wednesday night, found that 22 percent of the 1,129 Americans surveyed had a favorable opinion of the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, while 48 percent viewed her unfavorably. Nearly one in three Americans said they were undecided or not sure about her. Among those who viewed Palin unfavorably were 73 percent of the Democrats surveyed, 44 percent of independents and 22 percent of the Republicans. By contrast, 44 percent of ...

Eugene Robinson: Christine O'Donnell 'looks like she might be a witch'

Delaware GOP Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell is using a new TV ad to stress that she’s no witch, but her latest attempt to get past a decade-ago comment is providing fresh fodder for the chattering classes. Case in point: Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson said O’Donnell “looks like she might be a witch,” referring to her appearance in the ad where she stares directly at the camera and proclaims: “I’m not a witch.” “The lighting, the pale skin and the dark background. She looks like the question is in doubt,” Robinson said Tuesday morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “She looks like she might be a witch. And ...

Big showing by Tancredo could hurt GOP and adopted third party
Post Date: 2010-10-05 21:02:35 by Skip Intro

Buoyed by new polling and endorsements, would-be governor Tom Tancredo continues to cast himself as the lone, conservative answer to Democratic candidate John Hickenlooper. But a big win for Tancredo — or even drawing much closer — could spell a big loss for both the GOP and his adopted third party, the American Constitution Party, for the next four years. If Republican nominee Dan Maes receives less than 10 percent of the vote in November, the GOP becomes a minor party and subject to rules that could cut in half the amount its candidates can collect in campaign contributions. As Republicans absorb the news, leaders of the 2,000-plus-person ACP worry about their potential ...

DUmmies Already Preparing 'Stolen Election' Excuses

We are now exactly four weeks away from the historic Nov. 2 election and the DUmmies are already preparing their excuses in advance for losing. And what is their big excuse? We all know the answer. STOLEN ELECTION. Yes, whenever the Democrats do good in elections, it was conducted fairly. However, when the Democrats lose then it is time for the DUmmies to trot out their all time favorite excuse about a STOLEN ELECTION. This time they aren't even waiting for the election to take place as you can see in this THREAD, "Citizens: learn about the pre-election polling scam unfolding now." If their wailing with their favorite excuse has started this early, you just know the ...

Jerry Brown's Castro Trouble

Meg Whitman isn’t the only gubernatorial candidate with a legal skirmish in her past. Cuba expert Ann Louise Bardach reports that Jerry Brown violated U.S. sanction law during a trip to Cuba by using a CIA turncoat as a travel agent. Similar sanction violations were prosecuted extensively by George W. Bush. Plus: never before reported details of Brown’s mojito-fueled conversations with Fidel on topics from Elian Gonzalez’s future to Hugo Chavez’s role in Venezuela; Brown’s four-hour limo ride with Fidel; the double agent who booked Brown’s travel; and Brown’s later concerns about breaking the law. It was well after midnight on July 24, 2000, when I heard ...
