Sarah Palin: "We gotta stand with our North Korean allies"

Sarah Palin: "We gotta stand with our North Korean allies" NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- A painful slip of the tongue for former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on Wednesday when she accidentally mixed up North and South Korea during a radio interview. Palin has recently said she is considering a run for the presidency and told ABC News that she believes she can beat Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential elections. On Wednesday, Palin was asked during a radio interview with Glenn Beck how she would handle the current situation on the Korean peninsula. "This is stemming from, I think, a greater problem when we are all sitting around [and] asking; oh no, what are we going to do?" ...

Michael Steele Attacks Establishment, Stakes Claim As A Tea Party Voice In The RNC

With the Republican National Commitee still reeling from former Political Director Gentry Collins' scathing indictment of chairman Michael Steele in his resignation letter, Steele has sent a letter of his own to the RNC's voting members defending his tenure at the helm of the committee. TPM obtained a copy of the memo that Steele sent today, in which he highlighted his efforts to reach out to the tea party and drive turnout by reaching out to the Republican grassroots. And he took a less- than-subtle shot at establishment types who kept the fired-up conservative activists in the tea party at arms length for most of the cycle. Read the memo here. "The RNC was determined that ...

It must go down in history as one of the most delusional celebrations in history, ranking up there with the White Star Line directors hailing the maiden voyage of RMS Titanic as a success, or Napoleon claiming that Waterloo was his finest hour. How Nancy Pelosi could celebrate the achievements of the 111th Congress, while keeping a straight face, is a total mystery to me. Going one incredulous step further, she announced her intention to remain as Minority Leader. Historically, incumbent leaders have usually done the honorable thing after such a shellacking. Given that her Congress was possibly the most unpopular ever, perhaps she thinks that the disapproval of the public aimed at ...

TheDC Exclusive: Ron Paul will not join the Tea Party Caucus (52 Republican reps)

Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul, an icon to many members of the Tea Party movement, has decided not to join the House Tea Party Caucus. Jeff Deist, chief of staff for Paul, confirmed the congressman's decision in a statement to The Daily Caller. "Congressman Paul decided not to join the Tea Party Caucus," Deist wrote in an e-mail. "He strongly believes the Tea Party movement should remain a grassroots phenomenon, rather than being co-opted by Washington or any political party." The House Tea Party Caucus was organized by Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann ahead of the midterm elections. According to Bachmann's website, there are 52 Republican representatives who are ...

Janet Napolitano took a jolt of testosterone and ‘stood up’ to the incipient rebellion of American citizens, who have had it up to their eyeballs by the vast overreach of the federal government today. The DeMarxists and their unions, in their zeal to obtain absolute control over everything, have finally gotten around to our scrotums and vaginas. Of course, Janet, taking manly control of the situation, has chided the American people for daring to object to the Obama Transportation Safety Administration’s high-handed tactics. American Patriots, now that we have the rats in the administration and in Congress either on the run or shedding trails of rat pellets getting ready to ...

Sarah Palin's true reality: 'Free' Alaska is a welfare state that enjoys generous federal subsidies

Sarah Palin's true reality: 'Free' Alaska is a welfare state that enjoys generous federal subsidies Make sure to check out the premiere of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" Sunday night. After all, we helped bankroll it. I don't mean the new reality show. I mean the state. Alaska gets $1.84 in federal spending for every dollar it pays in federal taxes. We in New York get just 79 cents on the dollar. Which means we subsidize Alaska even as it enjoys a $2 billion-plus budget surplus. Even as New York faces a huge deficit that will require ever more painful cuts. And, on top of a budget surplus, Alaska has a special fund drawn from oil profits that doles out dough ...

Oh, they’re giving plenty of lip service… until they think we’re no longer paying attention, as in the past. The exception would, of course, be those who started the startling march of events that just culminated in the largest paradigm shift in modern American political history. That would be us folks… you and I… and about fifty or sixty million or so of our closest friends. With the exception of the west coast waste land that is California, which is a subject for another time, the American people spoke in no uncertain terms. As many as sixty ...

American Constitution Party becomes Colorado's third major party thanks to Tancredo

DENVER (AP) 52; Members of Colorado's American Constitution Party are trying to figure out what to do next after winning more than 36 percent of the vote in the general election. That will make them Colorado's third major party, joining Democrats and Republicans in the big leagues, when the results are certified Nov. 26. They got there with help from former GOP congressman Tom Tancredo, who switched to their party to run for governor. Now the party with just 30 members and 2,700 registered voters must figure out how to hold caucuses in 3,200 precincts across the state and deal with their fundamental opposition to primaries. The party's secretary-treasurer, Amanda Campbell, says ...

Lawyers Depart Alaska as Miller’s Chances Dim

Lawyers Depart Alaska as Miller’s Chances Dim JUNEAU, Alaska – The lawyers have started leaving. That is perhaps the surest sign that Joe Miller’s chances of becoming the next senator from Alaska are evaporating. With each passing day that election workers here in the state capital manually count write-in votes cast for Senator Lisa Murkowski, it appears increasingly likely that Alaskans spell too well for Mr. Miller’s math to work. Assisted by lawyers sent by the Republican National Senatorial Committee, the Miller campaign set out to challenge every smudge, stray mark and misspelling they could find (and, often, only they could find) on write-in votes that appeared ...

Olympia Snowe Is Getting a Challenger — And Soon

I have direct knowledge of a conservative in Maine who is preparing to challenge Olympia Snowe. He has told me he is running but has asked me to keep things vague so as not to step on his announcement, which he plans to make early next year. He comes out of the tea-party movement and I have every reason to believe he’s serious about this. As for Snowe, she had better be looking over her right shoulder. Last month, Public Policy Polling found that 63 percent of Maine Republicans would support “a more conservative alternative” to Snowe, while only 29 percent were committed to her. PPP added: Moderate Republicans love Snowe. They give her a 70% approval rating and a strong ...

Thanks to Dee for standing in for me while I was nursing a nasty cold. Her article from yesterday was insightful and very much on point. Once Great, Britain has been completely decimated by European socialism, in all its ugly manifestations. It is, however, an instructive window into the path ahead for America, if we don’t listen to the voice of the American people. God, in His wisdom, has given us this one chance to set this country on the path away from the Marxi-Socialist disaster, which has been perpetrated by a Marxist Congressional majority under the leadership of the Obama Red House (read communist). Dee brought up the ‘puppet master’ in her article. George Soros has ...

The wreckage of the Democratic Party is strewn just about everywhere. President Obama’s carefully constructed 2008 Electoral College breakthrough is now just broken, a long-ago memory of what might have been a lasting shift in partisan alignment. We have just entered the 2012 presidential election cycle, and the news is grim for the incumbent. While at least one recent poll gives Obama the lead against Sarah Palin, he is trailing in hypothetical match- ups against former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Even worse, only 38% in another recent poll said they believed Obama “deserves re-election.” Take a look at this categorization ...

Okay here we go again. Now that the 2010 elections are behind us, it’s time to start looking ahead to 2012. And so today we have former first lady Nancy Reagan announcing plans to invite Republican candidates to the first presidential debate. It’s to be held next spring at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California. Setting up the first debate could have the net effect of forcing some would-be candidates who are sitting back and testing the political winds to go ahead and make a decision on whether they will run. We’re talking about you, Sarah Palin. “Ronnie would be thrilled that the road to the White House will begin at his ...

Gov. Rick Perry stopped off in the Alamo City on Tuesday for a bite of barbecue and a bit of promotion for his new book — and called for completely repealing President Barack Obama's health care legislation while he was at it. In his 12-minute speech at Augie's Barbed Wire Smokehouse Bar-B-Que near Brackenridge Park, Perry took on the federal government, from health care reform to Social Security. Perry pushed for a repeal of Obama's health care legislation “in its entirety.” “You can't go through this piece by piece. You need to repeal it in its entirety,” he said. “Then let's have them start anew from the premise that the states can ...

We are witnessing a sea change in American politics. The DeMarxists are rambling away exactly like nothing at all has happened. They have parsed out the few slim victories they were able to garner, attempting to smoke-screen everything in sight to see if they can fool the boobs just one more time. That it isn’t working is apparent to everyone but them. They simply can’t wrap their truncated minds around the very real ramifications coming down the pike like a runaway locomotive. You can take this to the bank. The left has been defeated in America. The vast majority of American citizens detest liberalism in all its manifestations, and the recent election has put an exclamation to ...

The Obamazoids are wandering around like their programming was corrupted which, after all, it was… compliments of the US citizenry. You’ll notice it much more in places around the country other than the Marxist (read communist) stronghold here in the San Francisco Bay Area, but most specifically in San Francisco itself where soft tyranny rules. An abundance of space-trip airheads that comprise many of San Francisco’s voters along with gray pony-tailed 60s drop-out, drop-in, turn-on types that infest most liberal enclaves. I’ve seen these types move into peaceful bucolic communities on the coast here, up in the mountains where I have many friends of long-standing. ...

Not Tony Stark, Alex Murphy or even Locutus of Borg… but Barack Obama. All have bonded with technology to varying degrees, willingly or not. Obama’s reliance on electronics to be able to function was again highlighted in India. An official in the sub-continent was amazed that the renowned orator was dependent on teleprompters. This exclamation of surprise highlighted how little is known about the ‘Great Savior’ outside of the US. More than a few British folks remarked, to me personally, on hearing the mid-term election results that they thought Obama was well-liked by Americans. I guess they have been too wrapped up in their own parochial affairs for the last two years ...

The reports continue to come in from around the country. From California to Connecticut, ballots are being ‘found’. On the left coast, two million votes have yet to be counted. Small wonder with strong rumors (as yet unconfirmed) of SEIU goons working the election count, along with at least one report of electronic machine tampering and another story of a precinct in Danville Ca., where the one electronic vote machine was not working. Voters were told to vote on provisional ballots ‘which would be counted at some time later’. Provisional balloting has always been a pet peeve of mine. More so since the very scenario described above happened to me about three years ago. ...

Bush Slams Palin, But Who Really Ruined the GOP and the Country?

After a two year hiatus, George Bush is finally speaking up. Among other things, Bush said that Sarah Palin isn't qualified to be President. He criticized John McCain for putting her on the ticket in 2008, stating that McCain is much less of a man for doing so. Let's do a little compare and contrast: George Bush was born in Connecticut with a silver foot in his mouth. His daddy handed him everything, including a prep school education and admission into Yale. He was draft dodger and a drunk. After he became President, he ruined the GOP and the country with his big spending, big deficit programs, along with an ill-premised war against a country (Iraq) that didn't attack us and ...

What Should Obama Do Now?

After Tuesday's historic election, the pundants and politicians are all speculating on whether or not Obama will "pull a Clinton" by moving to the center and working with the GOP. There is a lot of speculation on what that might look like. I have a suggestion. Obama's deficit commission is due to report on Dec 1. He should take their report and dump it in Boehner's lap. Then Obama should do a hard sell, telling the American people that: A.) it is a bi-partisan recommendation, B.) it reduces the deficit, and C.) and we need to pass it now to fix the economy. That would put the GOP on the spot. They would be forced to come to grips with the bill and either pass it or ...

Five hundred billion more, freshly printed, absolutely valueless, dollars. It’s being fronted as a boost to the economy through funneling money to the mega banks, who will then presumably buy more of Fannie and Freddie’s marginal and junk mortgages in the form of securities and bonds. What they are doing is absolute Keynesian garbage. People all over the country have used basic economics to figure out that flooding the marketplace with cheap dollars is going to create inflation, which may be a handy way to to retire some debt if you’re the government but, as usual, with total disregard of the effects it would have on the average American citizen. Cheaper dollars = ...

Barack Obama’s defeat was a crushing avalanche of voter disgust and distaste for what had been done to them for over two years… three really, because towards the end George Bush was no more responsive to the voters than the DeMarxist clown college. The 'Dream Team'. Eric Cantor and John Boehner, expected to take over as House Majority Leader and Speaker respectively. Kevin McCarthy is expected to complete the lineup as Majority Whip. The Marxist-leaning Democrat Congress literally spat in the eye of the American electorate… virtually daring us to do something about it, safe in the knowledge of their overwhelming superiority in both the House and Senate and carrying ...

Congratulations to all the tea party-backed candidates who overcame a determined, partisan opposition to win their elections. The next campaign begins today. Because you must now overcome determined party insiders if this nation is going to be spared from fiscal disaster. Many of the people who will be welcoming the new class of Senate conservatives to Washington never wanted you here in the first place. The establishment is much more likely to try to buy off your votes than to buy into your limited-government philosophy. Consider what former GOP senator-turned- lobbyist Trent Lott told the Washington Post earlier this year: "As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them." ...

The voters sent a clear message last night: We don't like what Obama and the Democrats have done to us over the last two years. We're not going to take it any longer. So, take your big government spending and shove it. The breadth and depth of the Democrat's defeat was unimaginable just a couple of months ago. The GOP will pick up 63 to 65 House seats -- the largest turnover since WWII. Not only were the Democrat classes of 2006 and 2008 largely purged from the House, several long time Democrat Congressmen (like Ike Skelton) were defeated. The GOP won almost 500 state legislative seats. (I thought I was being optimistic when I predicted at least 300). 20 or 21 state ...
