Breaking News: Liberals Ask FCC to Expand “Dirty Words” List for Xmas!

(Lillpopnewsource@staire.com) Washington, D.C. In a hastily called press conference held at a local mortuary, Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi and incoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid petitioned FCC Commissioner Kevin Martin to issue an immediate order that would expand the list of “Seven Dirty Words” to nine just in time for the holidays. Pelosi and Reid have identified the words “Merry Christmas” as offensive and humiliating to men and women throughout America, and they want the FCC to prohibit all broadcasters from using this profane language, effective immediately. In a joint communiqué issued by Pelosi and Reid, the Democrat leaders cite overwhelming ...

In a recent column on World Net Daily, Robert Ringer states that "In order to preserve freedom, some freedoms must be restricted." Although I have heard similar things God knows how many times since 9/11, this particular column got my dander up. I guess it is because it so neatly summarizes the panic mentality that has come over so many Americans in the last five years. Ringer says he wishes things were otherwise, but in a world gone mad he believes that surrendering freedom in order to preserve freedom is a "reality." Orwellian Doublethink doesn't get much more straightforward33;than this. Ringer wrote this in response to the recent removal of six Muslim ...

Who Makes Foreign Policy?

The Iraq Study Group released its report http://www.antiwar.com/ISG.pdf [.pdf] last week, giving the president several recommendations to consider in prosecuting the war. Similarly, the incoming Democratic leaders in Congress promise to urge the president to take a new course in Iraq. Meanwhile, one newly elected member of Congress was asked on national television about the Iraq war. She responded by saying she had no real opinion, and that foreign policy was "up to the president." In each instance, it is assumed that the president will make Iraq policy. I'm not talking about the details of actual military operations in Iraq; I'm talking about the broader policy ...

Bush Has No Idea How Much Trouble He Is In.

The violence rocking Mesopotamia, now threatening Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, threatens to destroy a long held but fragile quid pro quo between the United Sates and Saudi Arabia. We had a fairly screwed up Mid East policy, but it served us. Steady flow of oil, a contained Saddam, an emerging but fairly benign Iran and surrounding countries. We had troops stationed in the Mid East for emergency deployment, and oil was anywhere from $25 to $59 a barrel. Bush 41 was arguably one of the more adept politicians who held the White House. The first Persian Gulf War was a masterpiece of statesmanship and political and military competence. We even made money on it. This is not to say it was perfect. ...

Analysts: Collapse of the Dollar would result in the Amero

Two analysts who have reconstructed money supply data after the Fed stopped publishing it argue a coming dollar collapse will set the stage for creating the amero as a North American currency to replace the dollar. The reconstructed M3 data – the broadest measure of money – published on econometrician Gary Kuever's website, http://NowAndFutures.com, shows M3 increased at a rate of 11 percent in May, compared to 9 percent when the Federal Reserve quit publishing M3 data earlier this year. Asked why the Fed decided to stop publishing M3 data, Kuever told WND, "The Fed probably wants to hide how much liquidity is being pumped into the market, and I expect the trend to keep ...

Conservative Madness in Mexico

Apparently, Mexico57;s new conservative president-elect is deriving his strategy for fighting the War on Drugs directly from America57;s list of failed and utterly destructive narcotic enforcement policies. Felipe Calderon, the winner of Mexico57;s recent presidential election and a resident of one of Mexico57;s most violent cities, has pledged to fight drug traffickers and cartels by "training police officers better, reforming the justice system and forming a national data base to fight crime." In further imitation of America57;s propensity for state coercion as the remedy for all social problems, he has also promised to bolster the country57;s military forces to counter the ...

"Essentially states are class-stratified political units that maintain a monopoly of deadly force 51; a monopoly institutionalized as permanent police and military forces," writes anthropologist Lawrence H. Keeley in his book, War Before Civilization: The Myth of the Peaceful Savage. The state's "monopoly of deadly force" means that we hang a man who kills in order to steal a wallet but throw a parade for a leader who successfully kills 500,000 in order to steal the resources of another land. Whether it's for land, gold, diamonds or oil, there's nothing new about using state violence to rob others of their wealth. "Both nonstate social groups and ...

'Sock It to the Left!': The Rise of the Spite Right

Of those not there, most who know of the incident probably do so from Jerome Tuccille's It Usually Begins with Ayn Rand. At the 1969 Young Americans for Freedom convention in St. Louis, one faction 51; the libertarians 51; opposed the U.S. government's orchestration of both the war in Vietnam and suppression here at home (including the nexus thereof: conscription). Their slogan: "Sock it to the State!" They were met (fiercely) by another faction 51; the "traditionalists" (with the actual tradition never identified) 51; who opposed that opposition. Their cry? "Sock it to the Left!" This political drama flashed in the warder of my brain when something ...

John LeBoutillier - The Iraq Crisis [G.W. Bush is arrogant, bullying, cocky, ignorant, and wrong-headed]

4) The President's father, when he broke down on Monday at a ceremony for his son, Jeb, the outgoing governor of Florida, was actually releasing years of pent-up emotion about his oldest son's massive failure in Iraq. Bush 41 is no fool. He knows that his obstinate son has severely damaged America and American interests worldwide for years to come. (Not to mention the Bush brand is greatly devalued, too.) All this emotion came tumbling out. Yes, he loves his son, but he also knows what an embarrassment W has become. It repeats a life-long pattern: Given everything by Mom and Dad, the oldest son repeatedly screws up, but never pays a price for these mistakes. He fails up the ...

If Bush Lied About WMD, So Did These Democrats!

Now that the bipartisan Iraq Study Group has issued it's report, there seems to a pandemic of "selective amnesia" among Democrats concerning the genesis of the Iraq war. As recounted in a previous column, when the question of using military force against Iraq was put before the U.S. Congress, 110 Democrats supported the 2002 Joint Resolution, which authorized President Bush to act as he ultimately did. Perri Nelson, writing about that earlier column, hit the nail on the head with the following comment: "So they're going to examine the faulty pre-war intelligence. I think that's a wonderful idea, provided they go back far enough. Maybe then we'll find ...

Derrick Shareef, a Muslim, has got to be one of the most unfortunate terrorists running loose in America. Twenty-two year old Shareef, from Rockford, Ill., was taken into custody after a plot to blow up a Chicago shopping mall was thwarted by the FBI’s Chicago Joint Terrorism Task Force. Go here: Special-Agent-in-Charge Robert Grant said: “Once the threat Shareef posed was detected by the Joint Terrorism Task Force, his activities and movements were under constant surveillance and there was no imminent risk to the public.” Shareef appears to lack the high-technology sophistication and abundant funding that many Islamofascists are noted for. He also seems to lack ...

A Young Marine Speaks Out by Philip Martin by Philip Martin DIGG THIS I'm sick and tired of this patriotic, nationalistic and fascist crap. I stood through a memorial service today for a young Marine that was killed in Iraq back in April. During this memorial a number of people spoke about the guy and about his sacrifice for the country. How do you justify 'sacrificing' your life for a war which is not only illegal, but is being prosecuted to the extent where the only thing keeping us there is one man's power, and his ego. A recent Marine Corps intelligence report that was leaked said that the war in the al-Anbar province is unwinnable. It said that there was nothing we ...

The barrage of invasive police state measures of surveillance have, of course, been ongoing with the pace of technology. Yet, in the UK the eyes and ears piecing together a total 'electronic footprint' has accelerated furiously-- and with a frightening sense of inevitable entrapment. BRITS NOW STAND COMPLETELY SURROUNDED... The entire citizenry are now surrounded by nearly omnipresent surveillance by way of 4.2 million+ cameras in the streets of London, some of which now have microphones to eavesdrop on conversations and even speakers to shout back at individuals in an effort embarrass and correct behaviour. Not to mention a phasing in of face-scanning cameras and other monstrous ...

Bush Won't Change Course; It's His Failure

After a weekend when we lost another ten soldiers in Iraq, David Sanger’s analysis in today’s Times concludes that despite all the smoke signals and rhetoric from the White House lately, the truth is that Bush’s “Go Long” strategy will be in reality “stay the course.” Sanger states that putting more advisors and trainers into the country while taking other steps that should have been done years ago (redeploy to the borders, bases, and nearby countries; regional conferences; and direct talks with internal and external opponents) may all come too late. Bush’s stubbornness and refusal to admit he needed to change course means this war, these deaths, and ...

The End of the Bush Dynasty

The Bush family has been characterized in various ways including the Bush dynasty, crime family or syndicate. George Bush is just the latest in a line of unsavory characters but clearly the bad or worst seed and, in the eyes of most honest observers, the least worthy of an unworthy lot. He was supposed to be the latest in the Bush family line chosen to lay another golden egg for the dynasty but turned out instead to be an ugly duckling who's just been an embarrassment and much worse because of the course he chose and his rigid ideological obstinacy to change even in the face of failure. The Bush family considers itself among the special chosen ones if based only on its royal heritage. ...

This week marks the 43rd anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination by a pro-Castro Marxist moonbat in Dallas, Tex. Well, that’s if you believe little things like photographs, eyewitnesses, spousal testimony, ballistics, fingerprints, personal history, the suspect’s pattern of assassination attempts, motive, opportunity, and an incriminating flight complete with cop killing. For the rest of America, especially the tinfoil hat crowd, this week is the 43rd anniversary of JFK being killed by Castro, right-wing extremists opposed to Castro, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, the mafia, the Soviets, the Elks’ Lodge, magic bullets, the second gunman, the third ...

GOP strays from G-O-D Moral decline brings election defeat By ROY MOORE Published on: 11/23/06 Much has been said and written about the losses suffered by the Republican Party in both houses of Congress in the recent election. While some place blame on President Bush's policy of "staying" the course in the war in Iraq, the real reason for the success of the Democratic Party is that many Republicans have "strayed from" the course of conservative Christian leadership exemplified by President Ronald Reagan. Reagan's adherence to conservative principles and moral virtue helped the Republican Party end nearly 40 years of Democratic control of Congress, but those ...

Olbermann Links Domestic Terrorism to 'Right Wing Blogs,' Malkin, Ingraham, Coulter Posted by Brad Wilmouth on November 15, 2006 - 01:33. On Tuesday's Countdown, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann devoted an entire segment (video available on Countdown Web site) to discussing links between a man arrested for domestic terrorism and "far right-wing blogs," describing the man as a "gushing online admirer" of conservative commentators Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, and Ann Coulter, as the Countdown host suggested conservatives had inspired the man to commit terrorism. Olbermann also compared past actions by Malkin (see Malkin's blog for details) to "the King Henry thing ...

Jim Webb's War

Senator Allen of Virginia attempted one of the oddest, clumsiest, and least effective political tactics in recent years — distributing excerpts from various books of his opponent, James Webb, that are replete with graphic sexual imagery and rude language. The books were novels. Voters, recognizing the passages as works of fiction, dismissed the allegations. Mr. Webb won and delivered the Senate to the Democrats. Mr. Allen focused on the wrong writings. Even as Mr. Webb trumpeted his most recent book, a 2004 work of nonfiction, "Born Fighting: How the Scots-Irish Shaped America," Mr. Webb's critics largely left the book untouched. While both David Brooks of the New York ...

There have been a lot of concerns about the end-user license agreement for Windows Vista. For instance, once you agree to the license you are not allowed to publish benchmark results without Microsoft's permission, and you can't install Vista on a virtual machine unless you shell out for the pricier version. Well, I've taken a good look at the license agreement -- I had insomnia -- and I've discovered some clauses that will freeze your blood, curl your hair, and do your nails. Windows Rules: You must agree that the operating system rules. It is suggested, but not required, that you also agree that it rocks. Slipped a homeless guy a buck the other day. After he mumbled off down the street, my companion sniffed her disapproval: "It only encourages them, you know. And he'll just use it for drugs or alcohol." I had looked him squarely in his gimlet eye. I could smell his breath. Safe to say she was right. "Who the hell cares what he uses it for?" I said. "If it kills the pain for a few hours, I'm happy to help." The do-gooders call this "enabling" and in their simple, black-and-white world this can do the poor street addict nothing but harm. I'll agree it does him little good. But in the moment it took me to fish a dollar from my pocket, press it into his ...
