Why did Jesus fold the Napkin?
Post Date: 2007-12-14 07:56:54 by A K A Stone
I'm always learning.... This I had not heard before. Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His Resurrection? The Gospel of John (20: 7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Is that important? You'd better believe it! Is that Significant? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and ...
How To Read Through the Bible in 1 Year
Post Date: 2007-10-11 00:07:55 by A K A Stone
The unfortunate truth in Christendom today is that the majority of Christians are not Bible readers. Take a moment and really consider that statement. Christians, who have direct revelation from God concerning all matters of faith and practice revealed in the Scriptures, fail to even open the cover of the book. We have the Apostle Paul exhorting us to study the Word: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) As Christians Paul exhorts us to study in order to show ourselves approved unto God, not unto men. This is a verse that is often quoted in Christian churches all over the world today, but how ...
It was amazing to go to sleep to a tropical storm and wake up to a hurricane
Post Date: 2007-09-13 23:17:19 by TLBSHOW
HIGH ISLAND, Texas (AP) - Call it the instant hurricane. Humberto, which grew faster than any storm on record from tropical depression to full-scale hurricane landfall, surprised the Texas-Louisiana coast early Thursday with 85-mph winds and heavy rain that knocked out power to more than 100,000 and left at least one person dead. Meteorologists were at a loss to explain the rapid, 16-hour genesis of the first hurricane to hit the U.S. since 2005.

An acquaintance informed me that he was pro-life, but he told me he disagreed with those who blocked clinic doors. It is radicals like them that turn normal people away from our cause, he explained people do not like to be associated with extremists. Those who hold pictures of aborted babies are branded extremists by many pro-lifers. Most pro-lifers view the shooting of abortion doctors as extreme. So what is the norm? This acquaintance does not realize that he is the extremist; his position is extremely weak toward the routine assembly line executions of innocent children. He has no understanding of the tragic enormity of this crime. He has no sense for the ...

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of ...
"Are the Jews still God’s chosen people?"
Post Date: 2007-03-19 01:03:30 by A K A Stone
Many churches and denominations in Christendom have believed that the Jews forfeited their claims to Gods covenant promises when they refused to accept Jesus as their Messiah and when their leaders demanded that He be crucified. This belief was especially prevalent during the long centuries when they were scattered among the nations of the world, cast out of Jerusalem and the land of Israel, and with no country of their own. However, with the almost miraculous re-establishment of the Jews in the land of Israel, as a nation among nations once again, many are re-thinking their conclusion that the Jews had permanently lost their position as the chosen people of God. Marvelous promises ...
Who is right God or Hillary?

Hillary Clinton today said that homosexuality is not immoral. She was reacting to comments by a General Pace in the United States Military. General pace said that homosexuality is immoral. Hillary Clinton always on the wrong side of the issue had this to say. "Well I've heard from a number of my friends and I've certainly clarified with them any misunderstanding that anyone had, because I disagree with General Pace completely. I do not think homosexuality is immoral. But the point I was trying to make is that this policy of Don't Ask, Don't Tell is not working. I have been against it for many years because I think it does a grave injustice to patriotic Americans who ...

A Comparison between Jesus and Muhammad
Post Date: 2007-01-29 23:13:10 by A K A Stone
A Comparison between Jesus and Muhammad Following is a chart to that shows some of the strong differences between Jesus and Mohammed. The Muslims revere Mohammed as the greatest of prophets yet, Jesus clearly demonstrated greater authority, teaching, and miracles and Mohammed ever did. Why would anyone want to follow Mohammed over Jesus when Jesus claimed to be divine, performed many miracles, said he alone was the truth, raised people from the dead, and rose from the dead himself and Mohammed did none of these things. However, Mohammed did have people killed, spread his religion through war, married a very young girl and had relations with her at nine, and taught hatred of Jews and ...

1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. 5Fear not: for I am with thee: ...
The Bible on False Prophets
Post Date: 2006-11-07 20:55:44 by A K A Stone
The New Testament Wonderful Works Are Done By False Prophets In The Name Of The Lord: Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, ...

"Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this Happen?" (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?" In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc., I think it started when ...
John Chapter 8

1Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is ...
Liberal Outrage over Foley Behavior: Belly Laughs Galore!
Post Date: 2006-10-05 20:53:17 by alwaysontheright
While the Mark Foley page scandal is deadly serious and cause for grave concern, it is nonetheless hysterical to hear Democrats scream foul about morality and decency. Both subjects have all but been eliminated from the liberal vocabulary, especially since the perverted administration of Bill Clinton. In fact, comparing the case histories of Mark Foley and Bill Clinton helps to place the current crisis in perspective. To wit, unlike Bill Clinton, Mark Foley did not: * Lie under oath about a sexual relationship with a subordinate (Monica Lewinski) on government property (The White House). * Discuss military matters on the telephone with a member of the U.S. Congress while receiving ...

To: theFIRMbss Yes, it's a safe bet this guy really was demon possessed. I'm serious. I don't think it was a copycat, I think the creature that got the first guy in Colorado to do this just jumped into this loser. Jesus said something really interesting when asked about the end times- He said that "Matthew 24:12: And because lawlessness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold. " That's what's happening- lawlessness, terror, like this is making it impossible to trust your neighbor. We can't form the relationships that we should, because you never know where the next crazy is going to pop up. Our love is growing cold for each other. I think it's a safe bet that the same ...
Biblical Perspective on Slavery
Post Date: 2006-09-03 20:00:48 by cwrwinger
Perhaps the number one communist argument that dominates and directs any conversation concerning reparations and black plight is that of slavery. To most sheeple, slavery is the worst possible evil that ever existed. This, of course, is not true. The lie is the worst evil and sin.
The following is on of the best Christian explanations on what slavery is and isn't, that I have ever read. ***********************************

A Peach of a Scandal in Georgia
Post Date: 2006-07-09 02:46:16 by Jhoffa_
A Peach of a Scandal in Georgia If a preacher secretly accepts a bucket of money from a saloonkeeper to organize a temperance rally at a rival saloon and maybe send in a gang of church ladies to chop up the bar with their little hatchets, this would strike you and me as sleazy, but others are willing to make allowances, and so Ralph Reed's political career is still alive and breathing in Georgia. He has bathed himself in tomato juice and hopes to smile his way through the storm. The facts are fairly simple. Mr. Reed left the Christian Coalition in 1997 as it was sinking, and he was paid by Jack Abramoff to organize opposition to a gambling bill in the Texas legislature, which would have ...
The N.I.V. Bible and Jesuit Priest "The Catholic Connection" Did Jesuit priests help transliterate the N.I.V. Bible? Were they attempting to make a bible more relaxing toward Catholic beliefs? [Full Thread]
Post Date: 2006-07-03 21:40:36 by A K A Stone
The NIV Bible is clearly possessed by a Catholic spirit and is leading a multitude of churches back to the Mother Harlot. I awoke at approximately 4:00 AM a few days ago and was gripped to document this fact. The thought startled me, but I have found the facts to back it up. This paraphrased version (NIV) of the Holy Scripture is designed to deceive and apostasize the unsuspecting. The translators admit that it is not a word translation but a thought translation. They call it "dynamic equivalence" but God calls it "adding" and "taking away" from what the Holy Ghost has delivered to men guided by His Spirit. Somebody will pay dearly at judgment. My former ...

Romans 1:26-32 also shows the "fruits" of "sowing" ". . . the TRUTH of God into a LIE. . ." Verses 26-27 says "FOR THIS CAUSE (vs 25 for "changing the TRUTH of God into a LIE") God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, . . ." The last few years homosexuality and sexual perversion have "exploded" into the mainstream. Legislation is now pending making same-sex marriages legal. Books such as Heather Has Two ...
