End of the World on May 21
Post Date: 2011-05-15 16:41:18 by jwpegler
That’s right, all signs point to a May 21 Judgment Day, with the End of the World following just months later on October 21, 2011. Many of the signs of the Apocalypse have already reared their ugly head, warning that the End of Days are coming very soon. Have you noticed the signs that God has given us to prove the Second Coming of Jesus is around the corner? The bible gives us the seven signs of the Apocalypse, many of which can be noticed in everyday life as we approach May 21, 2011. God gives us the signs of the Apocalypse to let us know that the Rapture, and End of the World are nearing. Here are the seven signs of the Apocalypse with specific examples of each in today’s ...

If a man lie with a man as he lieth with a woman he shall be put to death!

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Good Friday
Post Date: 2011-04-22 16:39:03 by diva betsy ross
Total Vanity, but I know Stone is a believer, so someone should observe Good Friday at his site. :) Today is a day that everyone can observe. The day to mark the death of Jesus. Here are some nice photos: photos.denverpost.com/med...11/04/good-friday-2011/#3 But the story is a heavy concept, that Christ Jesus died. He died for all of us, no matter what sin hides in our past. He still loves us. Today I prayed that all those who are seeking God, will find a moment of pure peace and know God- if even for a moment. I wish that for you all here at LF, and for all my brothers and sisters in Christ, I wish a year of deep growth with the Father. Jesus is the risen Lord. Blessed Good Friday.

Last Supper 'was held day earlier'
Post Date: 2011-04-17 16:18:49 by Sebastian
Professor Colin Humphreys has concluded the Last Supper took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion Christians have long marked Jesus Christ's Last Supper on Maundy Thursday but new research by a leading academic suggests they have got the wrong date. Professor Colin Humphreys, a scientist at the University of Cambridge, has now concluded that the final meal took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion, a day earlier than previously accepted. He believes his findings, which are likely to cause ripples among millions of Christians, could present a case for finally introducing a fixed date for Easter. They also present a solution to apparent contradictions in the Gospels ...

756. Work
Post Date: 2011-04-04 23:33:29 by A K A Stone
A Sermon Delivered On Thursday Evening, March 21, 1867, By C. H. Spurgeon, At The Surrey Chapel, Blackfriars Road. I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work. (John 9:4) 1. You observe that a very speculative question had been asked of our Lord, and his answer to that very speculative question is, “I must work.” His disciples wished to know something about the mysterious fact that some people are born in an unhappy condition—blind, or deaf, or dumb—on what account they were sent into the world under such disadvantageous circumstances. Would you not yourselves like to know? Do you not wish that the Saviour had ...

1599 Geneva Bible

The Forgotten Translation By Gary DeMar, President of American Vision & Honorary Member of the 1599 Geneva Bible Advisory Board (See also, Dr. Marshall Foster's Introduction to the 1599 Geneva Bible) When Mary Tudor (Bloody Mary) became queen of England in 1553, she was determined to roll back the Reformation and reinstate Roman Catholicism. Mary had strong ties to Catholic Spain. She married Philip II of Spain and induced the English Parliament to recognize the authority of papal Rome. Mary met with a great deal of resistance from Protestant reformers in her own country. Mary showed no signs of compromise. The persecution of Protestants followed. The era known as the Marian ...

Yukon: remember the Golden Rule before posting
Post Date: 2011-04-02 17:31:59 by Israel is not USA's Friend
The "Golden Rule" has been attributed to Jesus of Nazareth: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" (Matthew 7:12, see also Luke 6:31). The common English phrasing is: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

The Restoration and Conversion of Israel - Part X
Post Date: 2011-03-24 08:04:18 by A K A Stone
No. 257, November, 1915, Vol. XXI., No. 11., pp. 124-125. The last fourteen chapters (35-48) of Ezekiel contains such clear and concise prophecies concerning the restoration, conflicts, conversion, and establishment of Israel in their own land, on their own soil, that, were there no other testimony in the Word (and we have produced abundance), we venture to assert that no one, except by the most flagrant system of spiritualization, could deny that such restoration either had taken place, or must be relegated to the future. And that it is to the future we must look for the fulfillment is certain, for not only have such events as are foretold never yet happened, but with respect to certain ...

A Witch's Conversion to Christianity

PROFILE: TOM SANGUINET Tom Sanguinet, 34, "got into witchcraft by being born," he said. "My mother was a Wiccan. She was a practitioner of Wicca... My grandmother taught me most of what I knew... Then later on, a prearranged minister or priest came to me and tutored me in the priesthood." Sanguinet's mother was Celtic. The Celts came from northern Europe and are the people to whom the tradition of Wicca can be traced. "My great-grandfather on her side was from Scotland, and her mother was from Wales." Sanguinet's father was Roman Catholic, although Sanguinet never was formally raised in the church. Wicca had an appeal, Sanguinet said, although it took ...

Is the New Testament Reliable?
Post Date: 2011-03-16 00:22:33 by A K A Stone
In the seventeenth century William Googe, preaching at Blackfriars in London, spent 32 years and 1,000 sermons on the New Testament book of Hebrews. That may appear excessive, but he did this because he and his congregation believed the New Testament to be both reliable and relevant to their day. It still is. Every week, millions of Christians in tens of thousands of congregations listen to sermons based upon the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the work and teaching of His followers. Can we trust the New Testament as a reliable record of what actually happened, and do we possess what was actually written in the first century? What the Writers Believed Two important ...

King James Version: Genesis Chapter 1 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the ...

There is no God and there is no reason for "good" or "bad" about anything.

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: ...

In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani, Obama said, “I believe that there are many paths to the same place.” Obama also said, “All people of faith—Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone knows the same God.” But ...

Fox Rejects 2011 Super Bowl Ad; Jesus Hates Obama Ad Rejected
Post Date: 2011-01-21 10:01:03 by Happy Quanzaa
In just a few weeks, the Chicago Bears (there’s a remote chance it will be the Green Bay Packers) will be playing in the Super Bowl against the New York Jets or the Pittsburgh Steelers. And you know what that means, a series of great commercials. But Fox has already rejected one 2011 Super Bowl ad from the website JesusHatesObama.com. JesusHatesObama.com is a conservative comedy website. The add shows two bobble heads, one of Obama, and one of Jesus. Obama’s head bobbles idiotically, while Jesus stares on with disgust. Eventually, Obama falls into a fish tank. It’s probably a good thing that this ad got pulled. Not because it was offensive, but because it wasn’t funny. ...

Seasons Greetings… Black Extremists Scream Racist Insults & Attack Christians at Oklahoma City Bus Terminal on Christmas Eve
Post Date: 2010-12-24 19:05:59 by WhiteSands
A group of radical black Muslims(?) held an anti-Christmas anti white-man rally today at the Oklahoma City bus terminal. The radicals screamed, “God hates Christmas!… God hates Christmas! God hates America and is going to destroy it… The white man changed the truth of God into a lie. We’re out here because we love you.” They attacked whites, Christians, gays… It was an all-inclusive hate fest:

Torn by Bullying Suicides, Pastor Says He's Gay
Post Date: 2010-11-15 17:57:38 by sneakypete
Despite feeling called by God to spread the gospel, he lived a lie for decades, fearing that the truth would not set him free, as John the Apostle promised, but ruin his life and his devotion to preaching. Bishop Jim Swilley founded a Greater Atlanta house of worship in 1985 that has grown into a mega-church. He married twice and fathered four children. He traveled the country giving sermons about Christ and Christian love, but kept secret his own feelings on human desires. But on a recent Wednesday night, he stepped out of the closet while sitting in the pulpit of his 1,200-member, nondenominational Evangelical church and announced he was gay -- something he said he neither chose nor ...

Did God Really Say We Inherit Adam’s Sin?
Post Date: 2010-10-21 20:53:54 by A K A Stone
Behold I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalm 51:5) Today’s big question: did God really say we inherit Adam’s sin? In AD 418, the Council at Carthage rejected the views of a man named Pelagius. Pelagius believed that each soul was directly created by God and thus man was born without a sinful nature. If true, it would follow that a person could be saved on personal merit, apart from the Savior’s atoning sacrifice. The Council condemned Pelagianism as heresy because of passages, such as Romans 5:12–21, which emphatically state that because of Adam’s sin, all of his descendants have been made sinners. The church has often ...
