BATON ROUGE- An internal investigation is underway after a Baton Rouge Police officer was recorded on body camera video suggesting that, despite not having probable cause to search a vehicle, she would report whatever was found during a search as being found in plain view. The WBRZ Investigative Unit learned of the investigation and obtained the footage Monday. At least two other officers at the scene appeared to be uncomfortable with what the officer was saying and told her they needed "p-c" or probable cause. Western Journal – by Becky Loggia A new report published by the Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General suggests that the Drug Enforcement Administration has seized billions of dollars in cash from people who it has not charged with crimes. The report, released in late March, said that since 2007, the DEA has taken over $4 billion in cash from those suspected of involvement with the drug trade. As a federal employee, he can be compelled to testify or (if he asserts his 5th Amendment rights) be fired for not doing so. In his case, the pension would go poof if he's fired this week.
