Ukraine Says It Has No Hopes to Use F-16s This Year
Post Date: 2023-08-18 02:27:43 by Charles_Byrd
A Ukrainian official said Wednesday that Kyiv has given up hope that it will be able to use US-made F-16 fighter jets this year as the training process is facing delays. “It’s already obvious we won’t be able to defend Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets during this autumn and winter,” Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said. “We had big hopes for this plane, that it will become part of air defense, able to protect us from Russia’s missiles and drones terrorism.” Click for Full Text!

Report: US Considering ‘Military Solutions’ to Protect Shipments from Ukraine’s Danube River Ports
Post Date: 2023-08-18 02:20:07 by Charles_Byrd
The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that the US is considering “military solutions” to protect shipments of grain leaving Ukraine’s Danube River ports as an alternative to the Black Sea grain deal that Russia recently exited. The Journal cited an unnamed senior US official based in Washington. The report reads: “The US is considering all potential options, including military solutions, to protect ships headed to and from Ukraine’s Danube ports, the Washington official said, but declined to give specifics on those options or say what countries would be involved in them.” Click for Full Text!

China's Latest Laser Tech Claim Creates Waves Across The World. Here's Why
Post Date: 2023-08-15 23:31:36 by Charles_Byrd
The military in China has claimed that it has achieved a "major breakthrough" in energy weapons technology. According to a South China Morning Post (SCMP) report, scientists at National University of Defence Technology in Changsha have said that they've developed a state-of-the- art cooling system that would allow high-energy lasers to remain powered up "infinitely" without getting too hot. What this mean is weapons can fire a laser beam as long as they want, which experts say can change the warfare scenario forever. The Chinese research team that has developed the cooling system say that it completely eliminates the harmful heat that is generated during the ...

Saudi Arabia pushes to join fighter jet project with UK, Italy and Japan
Post Date: 2023-08-15 23:07:59 by Charles_Byrd
Saudi Arabia is pushing the UK, Japan and Italy to allow it to become a full partner in the landmark next-generation fighter jet project that the three countries signed in December. The request, confirmed by five senior officials in London, Tokyo and Rome, has already created strains within the tri-national alliance. While the UK and Italy are open to the idea of Saudi membership, Japan is firmly opposed and has made its position clear to the other two. Click for Full Text!

Joe Biden and Victoria Nuland interfered with an election in Pakistan because they disapproved of Imran Khan because he is neutral about the war in Ukraine. He supports neither side. On March 7th, 2922 Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu and Deputy Assistant Secretary Lesslie Vigueri met with Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S. Asad Majeed Khan in Pakistan House in Washington DC and they threatened them with sanctions if Khan was not removed. On March 8th, they voted Khan out of office. On March 27, Imran Khan produced a political paper that shows the US demanding he be removed from office in a coup. Khan was a cricket star who turned to politics. He was ...

Richard Stern, the Director of the Hermann Center for the Federal Budget at the Heritage Foundation, shared the details of the report with the Daily Signal via email. Click for Full Text!

Niger: Italian PM Giorgia Meloni Goes Viral After Niger Coup
Post Date: 2023-08-14 19:13:51 by Charles_Byrd
In a literal assault on France for their usurpation of Niger’s and the 13 other former French West and Central African colonies’ wealth, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni blasted France especially President Macron about the shameless and continuous imposition of the French backed franc CFA in these countries. Arguably, the CFA franc (CFA – French acronym for Franc of the Financial Community of Africa) has for the last 50 years prevented the former French colonies to develop on their own. Despite Africa’s riches of natural resources, they have hardly moved up on the latter of economic development. Instead, they continue lingering in poverty. Click for Full Text!

War Is a Racket… U.S. and NATO Arms Industries Make Record $400 Billion in Sales From Proxy War With Russia
Post Date: 2023-08-14 19:07:19 by Charles_Byrd
Western weapons manufacturers are popping champagne corks over record sales with total revenues hitting $400 billion for last year. According to media reports, this coming year-end will see that record figure exceeded by another salivating $50 billion. Ukraine may be resembling a bloodbath, as we noted in last week’s editorial. But apparently, Western military corporations are swimming in a bonanza of profits and stock market investments. Click for Full Text!

How the Ukraine War Could Get Bigger
Post Date: 2023-08-14 19:04:23 by Charles_Byrd
The civil war between Ukraine and Russia is one of the most poorly reported conflicts that I’ve ever witnessed. Western media has shown how much it has become an arm of big government. Much of our media and the British media have faithfully parroted Washington’s official party line on the war: saintly little Ukraine versus evil Goliath Russia. Not since the US invasion of Iraq has the American media so blatantly promoted a war or so vilified a foreign leader, President Vladimir Putin. Click for Full Text!

Kyiv Seeks More Mine Clearing Equipment as Ukrainian ‘Sappers’ Take Huge Losses
Post Date: 2023-08-14 18:59:42 by Charles_Byrd
The Ukrainian military has struggled to work through Russia’s heavily mined defensive lines as its counteroffensive has dragged on for ten weeks with little to show. Kyiv is now appealing to its allies for more demining equipment. Ukrainians assigned to be deminers – known as sappers have taken heavy losses in the counter offensive. Speaking with the Guardian, Oleksandr Slyusar, a Ukrainian sapper, said his deminers have suffered significant casualties, and he had to take painkillers just to keep fighting. “On paper, our brigade has 30 sappers. In reality, it is 13. As for those who are active at the moment, it is five.” He added,” I inject myself with a painkiller ...

The Ukraine Mess Is Animal Farm in Reverse: Starring Blackrock and Other Pigs

Recently, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the European Union should double its assistance to Ukraine. She went on to say the EU should create a support fund of 50 billion euros by the end of the year and that everything should be done to ensure victory on the battlefield for the Ukrainians. The European Union has created a “support package” for Ukraine for 2023 of up to €18 billion. This money, however, is not in the form of gifts, grants, or to create an emergency war chest. These billions are a loan under an EU macro-financial assistance program dubbed the MFA+ Instrument. In the fine print, EU member states are guaranteeing these loans ...

Everyone Chose the Military Option
Post Date: 2023-08-13 02:38:41 by Charles_Byrd
There was a whole menu of peaceful ways the war in Ukraine could have been prevented. NATO could have kept its promise and not expanded east to Russia’s borders and across its long advertized “brightest of all red lines,” as now CIA Director and then Ambassador to Russia William Buns called Ukraine in 2008. Ukraine could have implemented the Minsk Agreement in 2015, and Germany, France and the US could have provided the necessary pressure and support. The US could have come to the table instead of clearing the table when Russia demanded negotiations over security concerns on December 17, 2021. Instead, all three sides, Russia, Ukraine and the US, chose the military option. ...

Western Officials Tell CNN Ukraine’s Counteroffensive ‘Extremely Unlikely’ to Succeed
Post Date: 2023-08-10 02:05:49 by Charles_Byrd
A Western official told CNN in an article published Tuesday that it’s “extremely” unlikely that Ukraine will make progress in its counteroffensive in the coming weeks that will alter the balance of the war with Russia. “They’re still going to see, for the next couple of weeks, if there is a chance of making some progress. But for them to really make progress that would change the balance of this conflict, I think, it’s extremely, highly unlikely,” an unnamed senior Western diplomat said. Click for Full Text!

UK Says Its Air Force Intercepted 50 Russian Planes Over Estonia in Four Months
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:53:14 by Charles_Byrd
The Times of London reported Thursday that the British Royal Air Force intercepted 50 Russian planes over Estonia in the past four months while it led NATO’s air policing mission on Russia’s border. The skies in the Baltic region of Europe have become a potential flashpoint for a direct conflict between NATO and Russia as their aircraft have had frequent encounters, demonstrating the risks of NATO expansion up to the Russian border. British officials said there’s been a “significant” increase in Russian military flights in the area since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Click for Full Text!

Poland Claims Wagner Fighters in Belarus are Trying to ‘Destabilize’ NATO
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:49:49 by Charles_Byrd
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki claimed on Thursday that Wagner fighters were deployed to Belarus in an attempt to “destabilize” bordering NATO countries, which the alliance refers to as its eastern flank. Morawiecki called the Russian mercenary force “extremely dangerous” and said it had been “being redeployed to NATO’s eastern flank to destabilize it.” He estimated there could be more than 4,000 Wagner members in Belarus. No Breakthroughs for Ukrainian Forces in Counteroffensive
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:45:44 by Charles_Byrd
Ukrainian forces have still made no breakthroughs against Russian forces in the counteroffensive despite sending thousands of more troops to the front for a renewed push in the southeast, POLITICO reported Tuesday, citing unnamed Pentagon officials. US officials said last week that the “main thrust” of the Ukrainian counteroffensive had begun and that Ukraine committed NATO-trained forces it was holding in reserve. The push was focused on Zaporizhzhia, and the idea was to sever the land bridge Russia has secured to Crimea, and there have been attacks in other areas along the front. Click for Full Text!

Ukraine Says Talks With US on Security Guarantees Have Begun
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:30:41 by Charles_Byrd
A Ukrainian official said Thursday that the US and Ukraine have started talks on security guarantees for Ukraine, part of a plan for Washington to provide long-term military support for Kyiv. The US and other G7 nations vowed at the recent NATO summit in Vilnius to negotiate their own bilateral security deals with Ukraine. “It is symbolic that the United States — our biggest strategic partner — became the first country with which Ukraine has started this process,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, wrote on Telegram. Russia Says Ukraine Used Storm Shadow Missiles to Hit Bridge Connecting Kherson to Crimea
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:21:15 by Charles_Byrd
The acting governor of Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine’s southern Kherson Oblast said Sunday that Ukrainian forces used British-provided Storm Shadow missiles to strike a bridge that connects Kherson to Crimea. Vladimir Saldo said the Ukrainian attack struck the Chongar Bridge and the village of Chongar in southern Kherson. “Kiev’s terrorists shelled the Chongar Bridge and the settlement of Chongar with NATO’s Storm Shadows,” Saldo wrote on Telegram. US Treasury Bolsters Sanctions On Belarus Over ‘Complicity’ in Ukraine War
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:20:13 by Charles_Byrd
The United States Treasury Department expanded its sanctions on Belarus, taking aim at the country’s premier airline, Belavia, as well as three more companies and a government office. These additional penalties announced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on Wednesday marked the third anniversary of the disputed re-election of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. OFAC said that the broadened sanctions were a response to Minsk’s “callous crackdown” on the country’s pro-democracy movement and the government’s “complicity” with Moscow’s war in Ukraine. Russian forces launched attacks from positions in Belarus during the invasion ...

New Evidence Indicates the US Pushed for Removing Pakistan Prime Minister to End Pakistan’s Neutrality Regarding Ukraine War
Post Date: 2023-08-10 01:05:26 by Charles_Byrd
A nation’s leader just wanting his nation to stay neutral regarding a war undertaken against another nation by the United States government can set in motion a US government effort to boot that leader from office. A previously secret Pakistan government document disclosed in a Wednesday in-depth The Intercept article suggests that such a removal effort is just what the US government successfully accomplished in Pakistan in the early days of the Ukraine War. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had been steadfast in supporting keeping his country out of the Ukraine War in which the United States and other nations have been using the Ukraine government and military as a proxy to fight ...

Pentagon Concerned Japan Intel Systems Hacked by China
Post Date: 2023-08-07 23:13:20 by Charles_Byrd
China has hacked Japan's sensitive defense network in fall 2020 to the point that the Pentagon is wary and asking for increased intelligence systems access, but Japan has balked, The Washington Post reported. "We were asking for an unprecedented level of access to their systems," a source told the Post. "We were asking them to take their trust in us to a deeper level than we had before. And naturally any sovereign country would be cautious about that." Click for Full Text!
