Chinese President Xi Jinping told former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday that his country would like to see discussions on Ukraine, remarks that come amid Beijing’s attempts to enhance ties with Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday visited Minsk for the first time since 2019 to meet with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and the two leaders agreed to strengthen military and economic cooperation. The Russian Defense Ministry on Monday said that four US-made AGM-88 HARM anti- radar missiles were intercepted over Belgorod, an oblast in western Russia that borders Ukraine. The AGM-88 HARMs are air-to-surface missiles that are designed to home in on electronic signals emitted by radar systems.
