Disaster Prep Wednesday: The Useful Sterno Stove
Post Date: 2015-03-08 12:00:37 by nativist nationalist
When the power goes out and it's cold and icy outside, it's nice to have several cans of denatured and jellied alcohol about. These are most readily available under the Sterno brand name. For about 24 dollars, you can buy a six pack of 7 ounce Sterno cans from Amazon. That's about 12 hours worth of cooking time A single burner Sterno stove will set you back about $9. The cans and the folding stove take up very little space in your emergency bin. The shelf life of unopened Sterno is several years, so you can store it and forget it for the most part, though you might want to check out a can every 2 or 3 years. Replacements can be purchased almost every where - Target, WalMart, ...

Post Date: 2015-02-15 21:14:39 by Chuck_Wagon
Yeah - I mean bean / alfalfa sprouts and the like. And YEAH - this is THAT Chuck_Wagon. (The one who has never gotten around to building the greenhouse south of the garage ... THAT one...) So I got this 'Sproutmaster' thing for Christmas... All I know is that you put the things on a turkey & cheese & tomato sandwich. Avocado might be optional - I dunno. Anybody got any idea?
Texas man arrested after attempt to pay taxes with tightly folded dollar bills
Post Date: 2015-02-05 03:34:15 by Gatlin
A Texas man was arrested last month after he refused to leave the county tax office while attempting to pay his property tax using tightly folded $1 bills. An arrest affidavit indicates Timothy Andrew Norris, 27, was asked by a tax collector to leave the Wichita County building on Jan. 28 for disrupting the operations of the office. The Wichita Falls Times Record News reported Norris was attempting to pay a $600 property tax using the $1 bills. The paper reported that the bills were so tightly folded, it "required tax office personnel approximately six minutes to unfold each bill." The affidavit says Norris pulled away from a deputy who was attempting to place him in handcuffs. He ...

Pro-LGBT Colorado baker slapped with religious discrimination complaint
Post Date: 2015-01-18 06:51:56 by cranky
It was an hour into her shift when Lindsay Jones, a pastry chef at Denvers Azucar Bakery, turned her attention from the full lobby to the older, professional-looking gentleman whod just walked in. There was nothing strange in his demeanor as he sidled up to the counter to place an order. In fact, he was friendly and his request for a Bible-shaped cake seemed simple enough. Azucars owner, Marjorie Silva, tells Out Front that her employees are no strangers to Christian-themed requests and regularly fill them. We make [Christian-themed] cakes all the time, she says. No problem at all. The gentleman took a seat at one of the tables as the ...

Good Morning everyone my name is Devil Anse and I have been graciously invited by A K A Stone to be a part of this forum. To hopefully help him make this the best forum of its kind around, make it the funnest one around, a place where you enjoy going and having cordial discourse with others. It seems one of the other forums is closing down because of the death of its owner and quite a few of you are looking to make this place your new home. This means most of you already know each other quite well and desire a place to maintain those old friendships; this is what I hope to accomplish. It also means there could be some hard feelings between posters because of things that were said in the ...
Rules For Successful Speeding
Post Date: 2015-01-13 09:02:47 by Deckard
We all do it and that includes the cops who spend their days giving us tickets for doing it. Of course, they enjoy legal impunity to speed as much as they like, as often as they like. Speed only kills, it seems, when one is not wearing a special costume. At any rate, since we all drive faster than the posted speed limit, at least occasionally even Clovers it seems right and proper that we do what we can to avoid being dunned for doing it. And feel no moral guilt about practicing such avoidance. Our ancestors felt no moral guilt about doing their damnedest to ignore the Volstead Act and avoid the clutches of the Prohees ...

December 10, 2012 by Andrea Roltgen Crowd Demanding Subsidized Housing Gets Maced Cops in Columbus, Ohio maced a crowd of entitlement folks, screaming for their right to obtain tax payer funded housing. No arrests were made. Police were called out after noise disturbances and multiple cars were reported. Yes, the cars were blocking folks who had to head out to work for pay. Post Date: 2012-07-19 01:17:29 by Hondo68
Today the word Militia is a bad word to be looked upon with disdain and contempt in political circles in Washington. These are power mad people who seek the dominate every facet of our lives if we let them have their way. The militia is a part of our history throwing out tyranny from our midst, It has been a force for good. I will share with you why. We all know that all veterans, even those returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan are now a national security threat according to the Department of Homeland Security. This federal agency made publications they passed out to Law Enforcement all around the country. They did not make this classification by pulling a thought out of their rectal ...

Woodward and Bernstein: Could the Web generation uncover a Watergate-type scandal?
Post Date: 2012-04-04 18:10:46 by Hondo68
View Photo Gallery A look back at Watergate: The Watergate scandal in pictures, from the break-in to the congressional investigation to President Richard M. Nixons resignation. The gabby, gray-haired grand pooh-bahs of journalism sprang from the back flaps of their book jackets onto a real-life panel Tuesday afternoon in the air-conditioned guts of the Marriott Wardman Park, where the American Society of News Editors was holding its annual conference. The pooh-bahs oraculated, with both good humor and grandfatherly concern, that the Internet while a purveyor and archivist of Truth is not the mother of Truth. One of the colleges asked students in a ...

Post Date: 2012-03-28 13:19:14 by Capitalist Eric
The following article has been generously contributed by Tom Chatham, author of the newly released book The American Dream Lost Economic Survival Strategy for a New Paradigm. Previously we talked about basic critical preps for apartments. Once these basic elements are secured, you will want to expand your supplies to increase your capabilities. Your expanded supplies will be dictated by three things. They will be based on your individual situation, your personal preferences and your financial capability. The potential list of supplies based on these things is infinite so we wont try to list all of the conventional items but instead lets look at some unconventional ...
Everything Is A Lie: The Deliberate Intent To Deceive People Is At An All Time High [Tactics of Leftist & NeoCon Shills]
Post Date: 2012-03-20 17:53:12 by Capitalist Eric
From pollution to politics, the era of deception and duplicity has reached new heights and hijacked almost every form of media in the world. In the last frontiers for truth such as the internet, disinformation operations are in full swing to discredit and destroy any semblance of authentic and factual information available to the public. How many more lies will people around the world accept as truth? Some say a global awakening is taking place, but at what cost? Will it take the destruction of most of the earth and its resources before people are enlightened? The escalating media and political reports are so far-fetched, cunning, and so beyond reality, it's as if each is trying to ...
How To Create an Anonymous Website
Post Date: 2012-03-16 14:27:25 by Capitalist Eric
Free speech is threatened when corrupt forces can pressure the means of distributing speech. Corrupt governments all over the world, or corrupt elements within governments, use the methods at their disposal to silence uncomfortable speech. One of the main methods they use is to threaten the source of speech. Anonymous speech is important, even for more mundane reasons than scathing political criticism. Advocates of medical marijuana, proponents of evolution, gay rights activists, critics of local police, and many others may need the protection of anonymous speech to protect themselves while they voice their opinion. Efforts to censor online speech are doomed to fail because people will ...

Man Tests Body Armor By Firing Point Blank Into Own Stomach
Post Date: 2012-02-24 17:10:29 by Brian S
A man who wanted to prove that his body armor would really protect him put it to the ultimate test by firing a round point blank into his own stomach. In video uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, a man is seen wearing a bullet-proof vest with the word security on the back. We got a Glock Model 20 10mm, the man says as he approaches the camera inside his untidy double-wide trailer. I got a Hornady 200 grain hollow-point round in here. I done psyched myself out on this already. So, Im trying to get my nerves to do it, he admitted. The video shows him backing up, putting the barrel of the pistol flat against his stomach and placing his ...
How To Make A Burning Laser Flashlight
Post Date: 2012-02-05 00:16:24 by A K A Stone
Step 1: Take Apart Your DVD Burner First you'll need a 16X DVD burner. I'm using a LG that I had as a spare. Remove all the screws and take apart the case. Remove the drawer to expose the carriage assembly. That's where you will find the powerfull laser diod. Step 2: Remove The Laser Diod All DVD burners will have a set of rails that the laser assembly rides on. After pulling out the assembly, start removing all the little screws to get to the laser diod. Be careful because the diod is a fragile electronic component. Step 3: Disassemble An AixiZ Laser Housing Then you'll need to pick up an AixiZ laser housing. You will have to disassemble it and also remove the ...
How to Talk to a Liberal [Full Thread]
Post Date: 2011-12-26 09:21:41 by CZ82
How to Talk to a Liberal Historically, the best way to convert liberals is to have them move out of their parents' home, get a job, and start paying taxes. But if this doesn't work, you might have to actually argue with a liberal. This is not for the faint of heart. It is important to remember that when arguing with liberals, you are always within inches of the "Arab street." Liberals traffic in shouting and demagogy. In a public setting, they will work themselves into a dervish-like trance and start incanting inanities: "Bush lied, kids died!" "racist!" "fascist!" "fire Rumsfeld!" "Halliburton!" Fortunately, the street ...
