Why the NRA, Olympic shooter are suing California over Prop. 63 limits on ammo purchases By Luis Gomez Xavier Becerra National Rifle Association of America Parkland The NRA and an Olympic medal-winning shooter are taking California to federal court over a voter-approved measure that sets tight restrictions on purchases of ammunition, which the pro-gun group says violate the Second Amendment. The complaint, filed by the NRA on behalf of Kim Rhode and other plaintiffs on Thursday, comes against the backdrop of a national debate over gun control following the deadly mass shooting at a Parkland, Florida, high school in February. This also marks the fourth lawsuit the NRA has brought up ...
Man makes pipe-guns from scrap, sells them to gun “buyback” program for $300
Post Date: 2018-04-21 13:14:21 by Tooconservative
Most buyback programs are an absolute joke. While they are intended to take guns off the street, a surprisingly few number of criminals choose to participate in these government sponsored events. These events often collect a variety of broken, used, or inherited firearms from law-abiding citizens in exchange for somewhere between $50 and $100. YouTuber Royal Nonesuch has made a living making videos where he builds and fires a variety of simple pipe-guns from scrap. When his home town of Columbia, missouri offered $100 per firearm at their Gift 4 Gun Exchange buyback, Royal Nonesuch just had to participate. I dont have too much time or energy invested in any of ...
Today's GOOD NEWS: Gun rights advocates rally at state capitols across US
Post Date: 2018-04-14 19:14:29 by buckeroo
Gun rights supporters many carrying rifles and ammunition gathered at state capitols across the U.S. on Saturday to push back against efforts to pass stricter gun control laws that they fear threaten their constitutional right to bear arms. From Delaware to Wyoming, hundreds gathered at peaceful protests to listen to speakers who warned that any restrictions on gun ownership or use eventually could lead to a ban on gun ownership, which is guaranteed under the Second Amendment. "If you have a building and you take a brick out every so often, after a while you're not going to have a building," said Westley Williams, who carried an AR-15 rifle as he joined about 100 ...
Americans surrendering their assault weapons

Americans surrendering their assault weapons from Henry Shivley on Vimeo. Imagine if you will a little log cabin deep in the American frontier, the nearest secure town is a hundred fifty miles away, the nearest neighbor, ten miles away. A man and his wife and two toddlers realize they are surrounded by a war party of two hundred Indians. They have locked themselves in their cabin. They have firing slits cut for windows. They have two flintlock rifles. The man has a hatchet and a big knife. The man and the woman know there is no chance of survival, they are dead. And sure enough, they are killed, their bodies dismembered, their toddlers cut up and put in the ...
Cancel your Bank of American credit cards easily over the phone
Post Date: 2018-04-11 18:06:24 by sneakypete
It's easy. Just dial 800-732-9194 and tell them you want to cancel your BoA CC immediately. They will ask why,so make sure you tell them it is about BoA's decision to support gun control. No,you do NOT have to pay your cards off before you cancel them. You will still owe the money, you just won't be able to charge anything to your former CC account. I just did this a few minutes ago and got a message about "a short wait of 4 to 6 minutes due to the unusually high amount of calls being received",but I don't think it took that long before a pleasant sounding woman answered the phone, asked me why I was cancelling my card after 3 years, and just said "OK,thank ...

In November 2013, the president of the National Rifle Association, David Keene, was introduced as an honored guest at the conference of the Right to Bear Arms, a gun lobby in Moscow. "There are no peoples that are more alike than Americans and Russians," Keene said. "We're hunters. We're shooters. We value the same kinds of things." Keene underscored his friendship with Alexander Torshin, a top politician in the ruling party of Vladimir Putin; for the past three years, Keene said, "I've hosted your senator Alexander Torshin at the National Rifle Association's annual meetings." In words that now carry a darker connotation, Keene insisted, ...

Does Gun Control Reduce Murder? Let’s Run The Numbers Across The World
Post Date: 2018-04-05 03:27:11 by Tooconservative
Watching the recent emotional speeches and marches supporting gun control, I cant shake a question that nags me: Would we be safer with fewer guns? Gun control advocates have an intuitive argument. Guns are an efficient way to commit murder. If we reduce the number of guns in society, we axiomatically will reduce murders. Reducing gun violence is a desirable goal, particularly when one sees shooters mowing down children. After I thought about it, I realized the question of whether reducing guns in a society will lead to fewer murders is a testable hypothesis. You can measure gun ownership and murder rates. No two countries have the same gun laws or the same murder rates. So I jumped ...
California Considering Unprecedented Law Restricting Police Firearm Use
Post Date: 2018-04-04 11:28:15 by tpaine
California Considering Unprecedented Law Restricting Police Firearm Use Opening fire should be enforced as the last resort, the bills supporters say. By Lydia OConnor On the heels of police officers shooting a young, unarmed black man to death in Sacramento, California, last month, state lawmakers announced a first-of-its- kind bill on Monday that raises the standard for when officers may open fire. The proposed legislation would change the guidance in Californias use of force laws so that police may open fire only when necessary rather than when reasonable, Sacramento-based Assemblyman Kevin McCarty (D), said at a press conference ...
Ted Nugent: Parkland’s Student-Activists Are ‘Soulless’ Liars
Post Date: 2018-03-31 10:48:28 by buckeroo
Classic rocker and NRA board member Ted Nugent has attacked Parklands teenage school shooting survivors-turned-gun control activists, calling them mushy brained and soulless liars. In an appearance on The Joe Pags Show late Friday, Nugent apparently forgot about his promise to stop using hateful rhetoric after last years congressional shooting in Virginia. According to Nugent, the Parkland students pushing for tighter gun laws are poor mushy brained children who have been fed lies and are committing spiritual suicide. As for David Hogg and Emma Gonzaleztwo of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High's most outspoken ...

Retired Supreme Court Justice Stevens says Second Amendment should be repealed Alex Pappas Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens is calling to repeal the Second Amendment. A look at his reasoning and why he argues it should be repealed. John Paul Stevens, the 97-year-old retired Supreme Court justice, is calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment and is encouraging anti-gun protesters to do the same. Stevens, once the leader of the court's liberals, said the schoolchildren and their supporters who have been demonstrating against school shootings should seek more effective and more lasting reform. They should demand a repeal of the Second ...
‘Entertainment’ PR firm handling media requests for anti-gun protest

Entertainment PR firm handling media requests for anti-gun protest March 23, 2018 By Kyle Olson Activists and the mainstream media have fawned over the student-led anti-gun campaign that has emerged after the Parkland, Florida school massacre. Allegedly led by the likes of teens David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez, gun grabbers are holding a March For Our Lives on the National Mall this weekend. If the campaign is student-led, why is the largest independently-owned public-relations firm in the entertainment industry handling media requests? Media outlets interested in obtaining press credentials for the event receive a response from a West ...
I Went to the March for Our Lives Protest. Here Are My 7 Takeaways.
Post Date: 2018-03-25 17:19:00 by 3-Dee
Tens of thousands of protestersand maybe moregathered in Washington, D.C., and around the country Saturday to protest in favor of gun control. The demonstrations, called the March for Our Lives, featured children calling for an end to gun violence and ultimately stricter gun control laws. The Daily Signal hit the streets to observe the event and see what it was all about. The following are my observations from walking through the crowd and assessing its common themes. 1) A Left-Wing Movement It may seem painfully obvious, but it is worth noting the march in Washington was clearly a left-wing protest. As Julie Gunlock at The Federalist noted, some parents were led to ...
Delta Airlines Provided Free Flights to Big Gun Confiscation Rally

Delta Airlines Provided Free Flights to Big Gun Confiscation Rally March 25, 2018| by Donn Marten The sheer spectacle of the Nuremberg style rally in Washington D.C. on Saturday could prove to be the beginning of the fascist future of America. I awoke this morning to a screaming above the fold headline in my local paper reading This Is The Revolution and when considering that the majority of the populace are brainwashed sheep who get their news from CNN and the corrupt mainstream. This is their reality and the use of teenage school shooting survivors especially extremists like David Hogg was a masterstroke for the bad guys because low-information schmucks are ...
Dick’s Sporting Goods Sales Sink After New Gun Policy
Post Date: 2018-03-25 07:54:10 by Tooconservative
Dicks Sporting Goods has suffered a surprisingly steep downturn in sales since promising to sell fewer guns, but the problem isnt the gun sales, Fortune says. Stock tumbled to the lowest in four months after the sports store banned assault-style weapons from its Field & Stream stores and raised the minimum age for a customer to buy a firearm from 18 to 21. However, the store has also suffered problems with overstocking and high discounts, as well as increased competition from places like Nike and Amazon. After the Parkland school shooting last month that killed 17, Dicks executives were aghast to learn that the young gunman had bought one of his many guns from them, ...

History of Gun Violence
Post Date: 2018-03-18 12:48:22 by Justified
I thought this was an interesting take on gun violence and gun control over a large period and it really shows how over burdensome government causes more problems than it solves. This chart is per 100,000 people. To me once you remove illegal aliens, high gun control cities from the mix America hardly has a gun problem at all. It might even turn this chart from per 100,00 to per 1,000,000.

AR-15 Used to Defend Against Charging Polar Bear (2008)

AR-15 Used to Defend Against Charging Polar Bear (2008) - Zeb Cadzow and Paul Herbert are experienced hunters who live north of the Arctic Circle in Fort Yukon, Alaska. In late March of 2008, residents of Fort Yukon, Alaska become concerned because a bear was not exhibiting any fear of humans near their town. Peter John originally saw the bear eating lynx carcasses near a cabin on the edge of town. People did not believe the white bear was a polar bear. Polar bears had never been seen in the area. They thought it was an albino grizzly or a grizzly bear covered with frost. Advertisement The hunters, who depend for their lives on their rifles, did not carry .357 magnums or .30-06 model ...

Trojan Horse Gun Control?
Post Date: 2018-03-09 08:40:57 by Deckard
Feinstein Gun Ban is Gun Control on Steroids Anti-gun Democrats in Congress have introduced a repeat of the old Clinton-Feinstein ban. But this legislation represents a gun ban on steroids. The bills are S. 2095 and H.R. 5087, introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI). Make no mistake, these bills are far nastier than the Clinton-Feinstein gun ban ever was. Rather than requiring two irrelevant cosmetic features in order to ban a gun (as Clinton-Feinstein did), the Feinstein-Cicilline bills would require only one, thereby affecting tens of millions of semi-automatic rifles and handguns. Their legislation would also outlaw standard capacity magazines. Sure, ...
