Corrupt Government Title: sponsor Devin Nunes: 'Deep State' Is 'Much Worse Than Even I Thought It Was' President Donald Trump has been railing against the Deep State and bloated government factions for quite some time. And after years of investigating it, one top Republican says the "deep state" is "much worse than" he ever thought. During an interview on Fox News with host Sean Hannity, House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes spoke about his efforts to raise awareness of bureaucracy within the federal government believed to be undermining Trump. "One thing that I tell the American people every time that I speak and I go out on the road and I talk to people is that, remember, the deep state here is much worse than even I thought it ever was," Nunes said in an interview along with Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, while discussing efforts to renew and reform aspects of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Nunes said Sen. Bernie Sanders, a socialist from Vermont who is the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, is their preferred candidate. "People have to remember that this is one yard in a cloud of dust. You have to wake up every day to fight, because the socialist Left, they work hard to take over the Democratic Party. They work hard to get Bernie Sanders in the lead," Nunes said. "They're not going away." WATCH: https://youtu.be/pKetn- fVMUw To Nunes' point, the president has taken issue with Americas national security apparatus since before he took office. Last month, it was reported that the commander-in-chief is doing something about it. According to The Washington Times, the staff roster at the White House National Security Council is being significantly trimmed down. National Security Adviser Robert OBrien, who is leading the effort, has been firing and reassigning individuals whose roles have become "unnecessary." The NSC staff became bloated during the prior administration, OBrien said of the cuts. At its height under former President Barack Obama, the NSC had as many as 450 people on staff. As noted by The Times, by NSC had become "too bloated" and took on more of a quantity role rather than one aimed at quality. The Trump administration is planning to slash that number by more than 300, leaving less than 120 staffers on the NSCs payroll. I just dont think that we need the numbers of people that it expanded to under the last administration to do this job right, OBrien explained. OBrien said the NSCs job is one of coordination and that he plans to slim his staff by consolidating positions and returning officials to agencies and departments such as the CIA, the State and Defense departments, and the military. The NSC is a coordinating body, OBrien said. I am trying to get us back to a lean and efficient staff that can get the job done, can coordinate with our interagency partners, and make sure the president receives the best advice he needs to make the decisions necessary to keep the American people safe. In other words, the Trump administration would rather have 1-2 highly qualified people in a position rather than 5-10 who may not have as much experience. Former White House strategist Steve Bannon agreed with OBriens assessment of the bloated National Security Council, noting that Trump wanted this problem solved from the start. The NSC had gotten so big there were over 450 billets, Bannon said, according to the Times. We wanted them out
And I think we would have avoided a lot of the problems we got today if they had been sent back to their agencies. Some of Trumps biggest hurdles have come straight from the Deep State itself ranging from phony allegations of Russia collusion to baseless rumors about Ukrainian foreign aid being "withheld." In an attempt to avoid similar problems caused by the NSCs web of bureaucracy, the Trump administration is cutting back.

I'm tired of being informed. I want indictments, or to hell with the lot of them, even the good guys like Nunes. No more Comey/McCabe decline-to-prosecute bullshit, or the whole mess needs to be pulled down and burned to ashes.
