Title: Eerie: Hacked Emergency Message Foreshadowed Devastating NJ Train Crash: “Would You? Could You? On a Train?”

The most horrific news of the day is undoubtedly the disastrous train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey that frightened everyone in the station, and killed at least one person as it went off its rails and crashed through the station.

At least one hundred people were injured, and witnesses saw one of the most dramatic and unsettling accidental events in some time.

“The next thing I know, I’m on the floor. We are plowing through something … and when the train came to a stop, I could see the parts of the roof on the first car and some of the debris next to me,” Shah said. (source)

But it is the hacked message that happened hours before that makes this event truly creepy.

Without any particular explanation, an emergency broadcast warning went out over WKTV 2 in Utica, NY that read:

“Civil Authorities have issues a Hazardous Materials Warning for The United States. Effective until September 29, 02:16AM EDT. Would you. Could you. On a Train? Wait for further instructions.”

Video of this bizarre message was recorded and posted to YouTube:

The station quickly followed up correcting the record, stating that there is no emergency, blaming the message on FEMA test codes that were supposedly meant for testing the system internally, and not intended for public broadcast.:

Screen capture from Facebook page for WKTV News, Utica NY

But, of course, that explanation does nothing to account for the words:

“Would you. Could you. On a Train? Wait for further instructions.”

In light of the train crash, this meaning could strongly indicate foul play and prior knowledge. Whoever hacked the station message or “internal codes” may have been communicating with one or more conspirators who are awaiting ‘instructions.’

Of course, that is all speculation.

Right now, the train crash is being blamed on a lack of equipment used to slow down trains, and possibility human operator error. Authorities are investigating that angle.

But there may well be more to the story – a side that isn’t likely to make headlines.

So what is really going on?

This makes at least the third strange and/or hacked broadcast in recent weeks… enough to start asking some bigger questions.

First, authorities in Long Island, NY accidentally sent out an emergency evacuation order for the entire heavily populated island… when they supposedly only meant to warn visitors to a single beach that a storm was approaching and they shouldn’t be there.

Then, an emergency broadcast station on 1630 AM out of New York, was heard 30-40 miles away in New Jersey with the bizarre message: “Trump Will Go 26th” repeating over and over.

Was it some sort of veiled threat or coded communication? Or was it just meaningless noise in the system? (1 image)

‘Emergency alert’ sparks panic among TV viewers across US

The residents of about a dozen US states received a scare when an ominous message rolled across their TV screens announcing an ‘emergency alert’ with the names of their states – without any explanation or further information.

A test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) began shortly before noon on Monday and was seen by millions of television viewers in Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC, Infowars reported.

EAS is a special department run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the National Weather Service (NOAA/NWS).

The alert interrupted regularly scheduled television programs for 10 minutes with a listing of affected states and an announcement that the alert would remain in effect until midnight.

Americans across the country took to social media to express a wide range of emotions – from bewilderment to panic – as the alert gave no indication that it was only a test.

That happpened on March 21, 2015, and today Deckard took to Liberty’s Flame chit- chat forum for his morning conspiracy theory promotion to post another test malfunction. With his morning conspiracy theory posting out of the way, stand by now for his daily “hate cops” yellow journalism article postings.

Yes, we run those tests twice a week.

Obviously you missed the pertinent information - at no time has the phrase "Would you. Could you. On a Train? Wait for further instructions.” ever been a part of any EAS message.

Once again, you display your ignorance proudly for all to see.

This was not a "mistake" the system was hacked and the message was inserted.

Was it some sort of veiled threat or coded communication?

It appears to me that this was coded communication and that the entity (or entities) hacked into the broadcast warning system to relay their brief instructions on their targeted victims. If you look at September, it is the ninth month according to the Julian Calendar, and if you add the two digits (2 + 9) = 11. There's your 9/11. Coincidence? I think not. Prior knowledge. You betcha!

Good grief, man, how can you have been working at a TV station for 15 years and not know that accidents happen….like this one:

On February 1, 2005, someone activated an EAS message over radio and television stations in Connecticut telling residents to evacuate the state immediately. Officials at the Office of Emergency Management announced that the activation and broadcast of the Emergency Alert System was in error due to possibly the wrong button being pressed. "State police said they received no calls related to the erroneous alert.

Good grief, man, you still don’t believe accidents happen? Here is yet another accident that happened with the EAS:

On October 19, 2008, KWVE-FM in San Clemente, California was scheduled to conduct a Required Weekly Test. However, it conducted a Required Monthly Test by mistake, causing all stations and cable systems in the immediate area to relay the test. In addition, the operator aborted the test midway through, leading the station to fail to broadcast the SAME EOM burst to end the test, causing all area outlets to broadcast KWVE-FM's programming until those stations took their equipment offline. On September 15, 2009, the Federal Communications Commission fined its licensee, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, $5,000 for the botched EAS test. After the fine was levied, various state broadcast associations in the United States submitted joint letters to the FCC, protesting against the fine, saying that the FCC could have handled the matter better. On November 13, 2009, the FCC rescinded its fine against KWVE-FM, but had still admonished the station for broadcasting an unauthorized RMT, as well as omitting the code to end the test.
There was no hacker involved in this accident either.

On May 20, 2010, NOAA All-Hazards and CSEPP tone alert radios in the Hermiston, Oregon area, near the Umatilla Chemical Depot, were activated with an EAS alert shortly after 5 p.m. The message transmitted was for a severe thunderstorm warning, issued by the National Weather Service in Pendleton, but the transmission broadcast instead was a long period of silence, followed by a few words in Spanish. Umatilla County Emergency Management has stressed there was no emergency at the depot.
There was no hacker involved in this accident either.

Good grief, man, you still don’t believe accidents happen? Here is yet another accident that happened with the EAS:

During September 2010, the staff of KCST-FM in Florence, Oregon noticed that the station's EAS equipment would repeatedly unmute as if receiving an incoming EAS message several times a week. During each event, which was relayed from KKNU inSpringfield, the same commercial advertisement for ARCO/BP gasoline could be heard, along with the words "This test has been brought to you by ARCO". Further investigation by the primary station transmitting the commercial revealed that the spot had been produced using an audio clip of an actual EAS header which had been modified to lower the header's volume and presumably prevent it from triggering false positive alert reactions in EAS equipment. The spot was distributed nationally, and after it had once been identified as the source of the false EAS equipment trips, various stations around the country reported having had similar experiences. After a widespread notification by the Society of Broadcast Engineers was issued, ARCO's ad agency withdrew the commercial from airplay. McKenzie River Broadcasting, the parent company of KKNU, was later served with a Notice of Apparent Liability with a forfeiture amount of $10,000 for having played the commercial advertisement containing the header tones. This issue, once considered resolved without a fine being levied, resurfaced in 2013, holding up KKNU's license renewal application. Ultimately, no action by the FCC was taken and the license renewal was granted.

You say that you have worked with the EAS for fifteen years.

I say you guys sure fuck the system up with erroneous broadcast messages all the time.

Will you ever learn to do your job correctly….maybe in another fifteen years?

Good grief, man, look at the stupidity involved with this EAS opration:

In October 2011, the FCC fined WHPR-FM in Highland Park, Michigan $22,000 for numerous violations, one of which was not having any EAS equipment in use; an employee of the station pointed out that the station's EAS decoder was stored in a closet.
Michigan, eh? Ah, you work in a TV station in Michigan? Were you involved in this fuck up with your “fifteen years experience with the EAS?” Probably …

Good grief, look at this one”:

On June 15, 2012, WNKY, the NBC/CBS affiliate in Bowling Green, Kentucky premiered an advertisement for a local licensed sports apparel store it produced, featuring EAS tones within the ad used in a non-emergency manner and went out over the station's main NBC signal and CBS digital subchannel. On November 5, 2013, the station's owner, Max Media, through its licensee, MMK License, was assessed a $39,000 fine (listed in the FCC's statement as a "voluntary contribution to the U.S. Treasury") by the FCC due to the ad. WNKY's digital channels, in addition to the FCC fine, will also launch a local campaign about the EAS through their programs and the station's website, air additional emergency preparation public service announcements, and lease space on their tower to the Warren County Emergency Management agency and the City of Bowling Green for modernized warning equipment. Additionally in the same manner, the FCC proposed a $25,000 fine against the cable network TBS and its corporate parent Time Warner for an inappropriate use of EAS tones within a 2012 promotional spot for their talk show Conan which had not been put past standards and practices; the use of tones was part of a promotion involving guest Jack Black.
Proving some personnel at TV stations are not too smart….even with fifteen years experience.

FEMA’s Emergency Alert System Hacked: Warns of Hazardous Materials Disaster

WKTV EAS ALERT

In a comment on that same Facebook Post, the KTNV then claimed that the EAS alert was hacked by an outside source saying:

FEMA replied that they did not send this out. They will launch a full investigation into how their codes were hacked. WKTV seems to be the only target of this hack. For now, we have disabled the codes in our decoder that trigger this alert. If there is a real National Alert, we will still receive it from the local radio stations we are assigned to monitor. WKTV will cooperate fully with FEMA, providing information about our hardware, software and internet access, and will provide log files from our devices. This information will be helpful to FEMA to track down the source of this hack.

It was a deliberate HACK which the station has already admitted.

Bullshit. Someone in the system fucked up and the easy way out is to claim "We Waz Hacked."

LOL ...

claimed that the EAS alert was hacked

There are problems within the EAS system not caused by hacking.

The EAS sends out erroneous messages like this one:

Erroneous Suffolk evacuation order blamed on glitch

WOODBURY - Suffolk officials say a system glitch caused an erroneous alert to be broadcast on some TV stations Saturday night calling for the immediate evacuation of the entire county.

As News 12 has reported, Suffolk officials have been calling only for voluntary evacuations of just Fire Island. But the emergency broadcasting system alert appeared to order all of Suffolk to evacuate.

At a press conference on Hermine preparations Sunday afternoon, Suffolk Executive Steve Bellone blamed the issue on a system glitch. He said the county uploaded the correct information about the voluntary Fire Island evacuation to the federal alert system, but the text automatically became truncated before being broadcast.

This was just another of the many glitches:

That only works for gay Alaskans and their mindless sycophants.

We're done here ninnyhammer - it's obvious that you are ignorant beyond what words can describe.

If anyone fucked up it was by not having proper password security which allowed the hacker to insert the cryptic message.

The fact remains - the system was hacked.

So bugger off you bloody lightweight.

There are problems within the EAS system not caused by hacking.

Of course there are - this was not one of them.

Erroneous Suffolk evacuation order blamed on glitch

For the love of God man! A "glitch" is not the same thing as a hack.

Fucking retard!

There are specific words and phrases that are sent as part of an EAS message - “Would You? Could You? On a Train?” is not one of them.

You are “specifically” correct.

And while there are specific words and phrases that are sent as part of an EAS message – a commercial advertisement for ARCO/BP gasoline along with the words, "This test has been brought to you by ARCO" is not one of them either.

Yet in both cases, those messages were clearly transmitted over EAS by glitches.

Your posted article ends with:

...Or was it just meaningless noise in the system?
Was it just some meaningless noises in the system?

That has happened... a number of times.

You hang onto “We Wuz Hacked” explanation….while I will be waiting for a plausible and definitive answer to that question..

But I doubt FEMA will ever admit to yet another set of errors in their malfunction prone system network and we will never hear from FEMA again on this matter….even after the promised thorough investigation is completed.

Who Has Been Hacking the Emergency Alert System?

Something is up… on at least three difference occasions in September, the emergency alert system in New York had unfortunate “accidents” that look remarkably similar to hacking.

The first time, a “truncated” message almost caused the whole of Long Island to be evacuated.

The second time, an eerie message about Donald Trump at the first debate played on repeat over an over via an emergency broadcast station in New Jersey just days before the debate which had been moved to Hofsta University on Long Island.

The third time, a “Hazardous Materials Warning” for the entire country was broadcast on television not once but twice in upstate New York with the Dr. Seuss line, “Would you could you on a train?” casually tossed in the alert message… a message that we’re all to believe appeared “by accident” (twice) the night before a very bizarre train wreck in Hoboken, New Jersey that killed one and injured 114 others.

Of course, seeing as how this country has been on a strict “need-to-know” basis since at least World War II, We the People will be the last to know what’s really going on here…

But something… clearly… is.
