Every single news outlet is dedicated to hysterically denouncing Trump, every minute of every day, while cooing at Hillary. Everything Hillary has ever touched has failed, been engulfed in scandal, resulted in massive investigations, litigation, financial ruin, prison or death. The final stage of any Hillary enterprise is a grand announcement that Hillary did not technically break the law. Or no one can prove she did. Or, even if she did, no one ever gets prosecuted for it. She’s prone to coughing fits and lapses of memory in the middle of speeches, and falls down all the time. But that’s not nearly as important as the media’s manufactured story about Trump throwing a baby out of a rally! Trump is supposed to be joined at the hip to David Duke based on not “disavowing” him with sufficient ferocity the 17th time he was asked about this person he’s never met, never mentioned and didn’t invite to speak at his convention. Hillary invited the mother of violent cop-hating criminal Mike Brown to speak at her convention, and the Democratic platform expressly endorses the anti-police Black Lives Matter — even as these celebrated cop haters inspire the mass slaughter of police officers across the country, in New York City, Dallas and Baton Rouge. Now we find out that another honored guest at Hillary events is the father of Omar Mateen, the Muslim jihadist who murdered 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando a few months ago. On Monday night, he attended a Hillary rally where he sat cheering, right behind her on the stage. Is David Duke’s father given VIP seating at Trump events? (As long as you mention it, did David Duke gun down 49 people in June? Or ever? Or anyone?) It took the national media 24 hours to mention the fact that the jihadist’s father is a big Hillary supporter, sitting in the camera’s line of sight at her Florida rally. A Google search of Trump and David Duke produces more than 11 million hits. A Google search of Hillary and Omar Mateen gets a few hundred thousand hits. Hillary being supported by the father of a jihadist is treated like back-page stuff, presented amid florid excuses and rationalizations. It was a staffer’s mistake, an “unforced error,” and Hillary’s opponents are “leaping on it.” The main story this week: The media’s psychotic claim that Trump called for Hillary’s assassination. Trump said: “Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment. If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.” Hmmm. What could Second Amendment people “do”? One thing they could do is what they did do — in 1994. That was the year gun rights supporters voted out dozens of Democrats who voted wrong on guns, ushering in the first Republican Congress in 40 years. It’s been nearly a quarter century, and the Democrats are still so traumatized by their sweeping losses in 1994, that, even after Gabby Giffords was shot in Arizona, even after the Aurora movie theater shooting, even after the Sandy Hook massacre, Democrats refused to take up a gun bill in the U.S. Senate. Apparently, the only news you’ll be getting from now until the election is the media’s own insane interpretation of every little thing Trump says or does. Anyone remember the week-long scandal about a star on a Trump retweet? No one, not even Joe McCarthy, has ever faced this level of obsessive hatred from our constitutionally protected guardians of liberty in the press. Anyone else would be chewed up and spit out after one minute of such relentless attacks. But sissy conservatives who have never faced one minute of press hostility blame the victim, saying it’s Trump’s fault for giving the media openings to twist his words. The sissies have no idea what they’re talking about. There’s no way to phrase something so that it can’t be lied about. Here are the first three lines from an affectionate article on Hillary Clinton in Wednesday’s New York Times: — “Hillary Clinton Hopes to Capitalize on Republican Defectors” Hillary to accept bribes from Goldman Sachs, Halliburton and the Koch brothers. — “Hillary Clinton’s campaign would like to turn the drip-drip-drip of Republican defectors abandoning Donald J. Trump into a deluge.” Hillary supports the use of Chinese water torture. — “On Wednesday, after days in which several high-profile Republicans said they could not support Mr. Trump or were endorsing Mrs. Clinton, her campaign introduced an official outreach effort to target Republicans …” Hillary campaign to “target” Republicans for murder. There’s no strategy for overcoming this level of media hostility. Trump has made some mistakes during this campaign, but he hasn’t done anything wrong for months now. He could say “yes,” and the media would change the question to, “Are you a child molester?” Craven Republicans who blame Trump for the media’s lies may as well blame a rape victim for wearing a short skirt. I stated the truth. The world is ultimately determined by power: power of God, if good, power of Satan, power of nature, power of man. In a democracy, the power of ideas and popularity determine many things. If you stand against the People, you're not going to stand for very long.

No, the People are NOT Klansmen. The klansmen were always the minority. Back in Civil War days, the people opposed to slavery were the majority, but the majority didn't care enough to be willing to fight about it. It was the minority - the slavers - who picked the fight by deciding they could just up and walk away with half the country. So that minority got itself killed and clobbered. Unwilling to accept defeat, they decided they'd still ride the ass of the blacks, and did so for awhile, until the majority got tired of THAT too, and came down with antisegregation laws and the FBI and troops and made it stop. In each case, the majority of the People were on the right side of the issue. A nasty, stubborn, evil minority made trouble for awhile, but they were eventually overborne by the superior power of the people. Slavery and segregation and the Klan ended because the power of the majority finally asserted itself to make a few things straight: (1) No, you don't have the right to secede. If you try, we will march down and kill you, and because we are stronger than you, we will win. (2) No, you don't have the right to keep black slaves. Yes, you are stronger than them, so you've enslaved them by force, but yes, we are much stronger than you, and we have freed them by force. (3) No, you don't have the power to be able to substitute some new bullshit like segregation, and you don't have the power to ride around in the night terrorizing blacks for asserting their rights as American. You can do it for awhile, but finally the People get pissed off, and send in more powerful forces to ride you down. And then, just as you made the blacks submit, for a time, to your superior power, we made you submit to our superior power and freed those blacks. But the difference is that you're not getting up to do it again. Unfortunately, superior power is arrayed on the side of women who want abortions, so that's the law of the land too. I don't like that, but no, people in the minority like me are not going to just impose our will on the majority. They have the superior power, so they win. Today, the bulk of the people want the gays left alone, and are not permitting the minority who want to crush them into silence to do it anymore. The military has been forced to open up. The stores, everything. Once again, superior power rules the day. That's the way the world works: power determines everything. If you don't want to lose, what you have to do is use ideas to persuade the People that you're right. The Right has not done this on economic matters. They've used arrogance, belittling and accusation. And so they've lost the argument and now simply having things done to them by superior power. Don't like it? Tough shit: that's the way the world works, and it will never ever change, not ever, not until the Sun asserts IT'S superior power and engulfs the planet in flames. So, if you want to get your way in this world, you have to learn to communicate with people respectfully. Example: on this site, I am the most moderate centrist person their is. I started out further right than I am now. The problem has been that here, and over at Free Republic, I encountered hundreds and thousands of hard-core right wingers who would not and could not rationally discuss economic matters or military matters or, really, any other matter. They had a hard, fixed set of beliefs, that I did not completely share, but I was hardly an enemy. And when I have tried to talk about these things over the years, I get called names, ridiculed I bring logic and fact and argumentation, and concerns, but I get back insult. Over and over again. They finally even banned me over at the other site. So, argument is answered with insult. Meanwhile, the other side answers some arguments with argument, they state their case, and then they use the force of numbers and win. So, I have nasty losers on the right who will not discuss but who insist on their way or the highway. And I have arrogant winners on the left who will discuss for a little bit, then stop discussing and win by asserting power. The most disturbing thing I find over here are the hard right is a latent, inveterate and stupid racism, a neo-Confederate attitude, an insistence on taking up the side of history's evil losers. I see people who are ON Social Security, who would be destitute WITHOUT Social Security, arguing that if they somehow had had that extra 5.2% of their income over the years, that they would have much, much more. I know finance and have done the math. It is complete and utter bullshit. Will they listen, to anything, no. So finally you just shrug your shoulders.
