Title: Turkey Istanbul: Explosions and gunfire rock Ataturk airport

At least two explosions and gunfire have rocked Istanbul's Ataturk international airport, with reports of "multiple" people injured.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up, Reuters news agency quoted a Turkish official as saying.

Police had opened fire to neutralise the suspects at an entry point, it added.

In December, a blast on the tarmac at a different Istanbul airport, Sabiha Gokcen, killed a cleaner.

Recent bomb attacks in Turkey have been linked to Kurdish separatists or the so-called Islamic State group.

Forty people were injured in the attack, Turkish newspaper Haberturk reports on its website (in Turkish).

Gunfire was reportedly directed from an airport car park.

A US State Department travel warning for Turkey, originally published in March and updated on Monday, urges US citizens to "exercise heightened vigilance and caution when visiting public access areas, especially those heavily frequented by tourists."

Old grudges die slowly. When Ataturk was in command he promoted violation of all of the roots of islam. The Turks even became proud (horror of horrors) of having elected woman engineers to their House of Representatives. If he had lived 15 years longer, he would have overseen the expulsion of islam completely in a spirit of celebration. Now, jihadists are out to make Turkey pay for its sins.

A very good friend of mine, SF's, told me a story about when he was in VN. Said he went on an operation with a squad from Turkey. He said they were the equivalent of SF's. He said they were the wildest, most vicious guys he had ever seen or heard of. He said he never wanted them to be after him.

The Turks are bad dudes, and only marginally Muslim.

You would think that US citizens contemplating traveling abroad would contact the US Department or their travel agent to get alert updates and that they would heed those warnings.

You would think only Americans who have business obligations in Turkey would actually visit Turkey. Unless one is an American Jihadi.

Is that what the State Department would actually have us all believe? Despite that the State Department had prior knowledge of this hit to happen several months dating back to March of this year? Or better yet, explain to us why the State Department had prior knowledge of the Benghazi hit but failed to notify our four servicemen including Chris Stevens (all of which had business obligations to be there) which resulted in their untimely deaths.

Not sure it is ISIS . Gregory Copley, of 'Defense & Foreign Affairs'is reporting that it is the PKK attacking Turkey .He's calling it the 'Turkish Civil War' . As ususal under the emperor, the US is on the wrong side of the conflict.
