If Trump has any common sense, or business sense, he will at least try to follow it, but the goals for the US are very hard to meet. If he doesn't, and it's business as usual, all of his Real Estate holdings in South Florida and Manhattan, now valued at over $2 billion, will soon be underwater and not worth 2 cents. It may not happen in Trump's lifetime, but in his children's and grandchildren's, costing them billions.

There has been an almost 2 decade pause in global temperature rise and the Arctic ice mass is expanding . In fact ,sea levels in the Atlantic Ocean have fallen at least 19 inches in the last 1,000 years. http://www.iceagenow.com/Atlantic_Sea_Level_Falling.htm

Trump's investments are safe .

Those are some of the biggest, most preposterous lies I have ever heard. 98% of scientists say that, if nothing is done about ever-increasing greenhouse gas emissions, the earth's average mean temperature will soon rise over 7 degrees F, causing much of the earth to be too hot for human survival, and causing a rise in sea-level of 22 feet.

And I forgot to mention Trump's water-front properties in Atlantic City and Honolulu.

and if he is the smart businessman he is supposed to be he will liquidate these assets before the liquid gets there, in fact he may need to do so to pay for his campaign

Don't play the ostrich Tom even if the predictions are way off, and you know I think they are, there is still risk for low lying or water front property. That 19 inches may come back because the ocean is a giant heat sink and water expands when heated. All that heat we haven't seen so far must have gone somewhere and it has gone into the oceans. Ask Tuvalu whether sea levels have fallen

Science isn't an opinion poll.(The 98% number comes from a 2009 American Geophysical Union (AGU) survey consisting of an intentionally brief two-minute, two question online survey sent to 10,257 earth scientists by two researchers at the University of Illinois). The 2 questioned asked in the brief survey were : “When compared with pre-1800s levels, do you think that mean global temperatures have generally risen, fallen, or remained relatively constant?” That is a no brainer .The planet began thawing out of the “Little Ice Age” in the middle 19th century, predating the Industrial Revolution. (That was the coldest period since the last real Ice Age ended roughly 10,000 years ago.)

The second question asked: “Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?” There is only an assumption that human activity has had any impact.

Since 1998, more than 31,000 American scientists , including atmospheric physicists, botanists, geologists, oceanographers, meteorologists , and more than 9,000 with Ph.D.s ; have signed a public petition announcing that “…there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.”

http://www.petitionproject.org/

Of course if I was a scientist looking to fund my research I would be part of the consensus too. That's where the money is. Scientist who don't agree with the "consensus" receive less university research funds, foundation funds and government grants ,as well as the funding from the climate special interest lobbies .

What we do know for a fact is that the data from a number of consensus studies has been manipulated based on flawed climate models ,and/or collected under very questionable methods.
