Prayer is an important part of what I used, I would never think that the b-17 without the prayer would have worked, I left it out because I thought we had talked about it on the phone right after I got out of the hospital. Comparisons of cancer and medical situations are non starters and lead to strife. Everyone's situation is different and must be handled as such. For example, I would never approach these parents and say "well I had stage IIIA colon cancer and so I understand.." Worst thing in the world to say to parents whose son is fighting for his life. So comparisons don't literally compare. You had pain, you endured like a Christian man and I am proud of you for doing so. But Noah is no man with the strength of a man or a man's mind. So please no comparisons. The way I read the latest journal entry is that the family is preparing for the worst and the child has hours or days left. And please say a prayer for the family of Kara. Kara is/was a 14 year old incoming high school freshman. My mother will attend her funeral tomorrow morning. My mom is a close friend of the girl's grandmother. Her death has really shaken the whole community. She was on a sleepover with her teammates at a friend's house. Her teammates could not wake her up. Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out. Some sort of medical condition. A more extensive autopsy was supposed to happen today. There are doubts that the church will have the capacity for all of the mourners. I've never seen the community so shaken up.
