An 82-year-old man was shocked to find a Texas SWAT team storming his home. Before Herman Crisp could even ask any questions the uniformed officers, clad in military gear, knocked him down, broke his hip and denied him medical assistance.
Herman Crisp explained in an interview with local KTBC news that the Georgetown SWAT deputies threw a flash-bang device at him while he as sitting in a chair and smoking a cigarette outside.
Crisp explains that the explosion knocked him out of his chair and to the ground. Thats when the SWAT cops moved in and slammed him to the ground again for good measure before handcuffing him.
That second slam to the ground was so forceful that it broke Crisps hip.
The SWAT cops refused to call paramedics, Crisp alleges in a new lawsuit just filed.
His family says that when the found him the next day, he was lying in his own feces since he couldnt get to the bathroom or to a phone.
After they left, I tried to get up because I had to go to the bathroom, he said in an interview with KTBC. And I couldnt go. So, I just crawled over and laid on the floor right down through here. My sister had to call paramedics.
Now, even after two surgeries and physical therapy, Crisp is forced to use a cane to walk, something which wasnt the case before this SWAT attack.
Crisps attorney Boadus Spivey said this is nothing short of the Georgetown Sheriffs Office engaging in a conspiracy of silence.
Things like this dont happen in a vacuum. Theres nothing that weve been able to get that identifies the officers, that identifies the action that occurred. We have our clients information but I had to hire a private investigator just to get enough faxed to determine whether I should file a lawsuit or not. And Im convinced that the facts are adequate to file this lawsuit and well find out now that we have some way to get accurate information, the lawyer commented.
The SWAT deputies had a warrant to search Crisps home. But they have not explained what they were looking for.
The deputies have been so tight-lipped since the SWAT raid that Crisp says he was left with no choice but to file suit against Williamson County and the City of Georgetown. He is seeking damages in excess of $1 million due to the cost of medical care and mental anguish.

Another "victory" for the drug warriors.
Way to beat up on the elderly you sniveling cowards.

G0vt agents do not sweat law suits, but they sure do get excited when some son of a man like the 81 year old in the article retaliates and send one of them to his or her Hebrew 9:27 meeting with Christ.
Because the officers themselves rarely pay them, the taxpayers are usually the ones stuck footing the bill for these crooked cops.
the taxpayers are usually the ones stuck footing the bill for these crooked cops, firemen, selectmen, town managers, politicians at all levels, we, the tax payers pay for everything.
Remember the Asop's tale about the Goose that laid the golden egg? Remember how the goose was killed in hopes of getting all the eggs inside her?
Well, my friend, we, the middle class, are the goose, and we are about to ripped open so that the elites can get the golden eggs they think we are harboring.
tell me how, looking for a nephew justifies throwing a 81 year old man to the ground after throwing a flash bang at him, on his front porch, is justified.
"tell me how, looking for a nephew justifies throwing a 81 year old man to the ground after throwing a flash bang at him, on his front porch, is justified."
I thought I said it wasn't justified. Let me check. Yep. I clearly said it didn't justify it. Where the f**k did your read I said it was justified? Why are you asking me the same f**king question again?
I said the fact that he was harboring his scum-sucking, loser nephew-with-an-outstanding-warrant went a long way to EXPLAIN why things happened the way they did.

"Tell me how..."
Local TV station KXAN reported:
Crisp, 81, was drinking coffee on his front porch with his neighbor. According to the suit, an officer threw a flash-bang onto Crisps lawn without any verbal warning, causing him to fall to the ground. The suit goes on to say Crisp was grabbed by three officers and slammed to the ground, breaking his hip.
Lets get this straight now:
From the two men sitting on the porch drinking coffee, the swat team singled out Crisp for the viscous assault. The swat team did absolutely nothing to the neighbor, the neighbor continued drinking his coffee. The swat team then proceeded to break Crisps hip and leave him on the floor. The neighbor did nothing to help Crisp with his broken hip. According to the suit, police refused to call paramedics and Crisp was left immobilized and alone. The neighbor finished drinking his coffee and walked away from Crisp leaving him in severe pain on the floor with a broken hip. A family member discovered Crisp on the floor the next day.
Tell me how I cannot believe there is more to this story than the version being told by Crisp to the media?

(Crisp) is seeking damages in excess of $1 million due to the cost of medical care...
There is no cost for medical care for Crisp to personally pay. This is just some more flowering bullshit the author added to his yellow journalism piece.
Crisp did not spend one penny personal money for medical care. Crisp is fully covered as a Navy retire for his medical care by Medicare and Tricare for Life.

Now THAT'S funny. Yet that is what these morons expect us to believe happened.
" I do not believe any police officer would be proud of this bunch.
Stoner, do you sincerely believe the article as written presented you ALL the FACTS necessary for you to pass judgment?
If it does not, then do you believe that you should wait and have all the facts before passing judgment? "
If there were facts not presented, perhaps you can enlighten me.
Based on your statement & question, it would appear you have already arrived at your judgement, without further facts which you are inferring were not presented.
Therefore it would appear you are guilty of that which you appear to be accusing me of.
BTW, based on the facts presented, I still stand by my statement " I do not believe any police officer would be proud of this bunch. " A bunch of tuff guy cowboys break the hip of an 81 year old man and do not summon medical attention! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
" He could have broken it when he fell out of his chair. He SAYS the police did it. You believe him - - a guy who harbors a criminal with a warrant. "
Yes, he could have broken it when he fell out of his chair, as a result of actions by the police. You obviously want to believe them, that they did no wrong.
Wonder why they did not locate the nephew out on the street and execute the warrant there?
If there were facts not presented, perhaps you can enlighten me.
Lets turn that around and see how it sounds coming back at you. If what was presented is to be accepted as facts, perhaps you can confirm the information is factual.

I made no statement, I presented information from another source. I did ask questions. Asking questions is not arriving at a judgment.
Tell me Gatlin, are you proud of them?
I will tell you, Stoner, that I am proud to find out the truth before I pass judgment and I will make every effort to do so.
Herman Crisp tried to paint this picture in our minds: The cops threw him down, broke his hip and left him there. He needed to go to the bathroom and could not.
Let objectivity paint this picture in our minds: It may be possible to believe that the cops left Crisp lying in the floor immobilized and in pain. But it is impossible to believe a neighbor who was there during the entire ordeal would have left Crisp lying on the floor immobilized and in pain. So, we are dealing with an unknown fact. Thousands, literally thousands, of old folks get up and go to the bathroom every night across America, then fall on the way and break their hip. Do we know that is not what happened to Crisp? No we dont. We dont know any of the facts, do we?
To be objective, we must conjure up some questions in our minds: How are we to know that Crisp did not break his hip at night when he was going to the bathroom? Because he said so? The reporter who published this story could find out what the neighbor had to say, why didnt he? If the neighbor who was with Crisp the whole time during the incident would not corroborate, do you think the reporter would publish that? Of course not. Do you think if the neighbor did corroborate Crisps story the reporter would publish that? of course he would.
So, we dont know when or how Crisps hip was broken, do we? We only know what Crisp said. Repeating: It is hard for me to believe that the cops left him lying on the floor immobilized and in pain. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to believe that a neighbor who was with him at the time, left him lying on the floor immobilized and in pain.
If the cops violate procedures, then have at them. If the procedures are wrong, go after those in charge to change them. But lets not let someone tell us what someone else said and believe it without question. Can we do that?

No doubt that's what they truly believe....looks like we are now finished here.

Warrant for what?
It doesn't matter what the warrant was for.
To misterwhite and Gatlin, all that matters is that the cops got to go home at the end of the day.
It appears that those two have reached new lows on this thread in defending murdering cops.

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

"The neighbor finished drinking his coffee and walked away"
Neighbor: Thanks for the coffee. Crisp: You're welcome. Here, let me walk you to the door. Neighbor: Oh, don't bother getting up. Crisp: Not like I can.

Which they got for free from the federal government. According to article, it needed about $1200 in repairs. A council member asked, "Do we have a new police car that has to be purchased that money could be applied to and reduce debt?
Rather than spend $1200 to repair a free vehicle, this Gonzalez numbnuts wants to apply that $1200 towards a new $40,000 police car. That'll reduce debt, you see.
But you can bet your bottom dollar that if the warrant was for "failure to appear on a traffic violation" this yellow journalism article would have mentioned it. So I'm gonna guess murder.
