Give credit to Republicans in Congress.

They’ve discovered, belatedly, that income inequality is a problem, and they’re no longer proposing to give tax breaks to the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans. Now they are proposing to give tax breaks to the wealthiest two-tenths of 1 percent of Americans.

On Tuesday afternoon, the House Rules Committee took up H.R. 1105, the “Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015,” with plans to bring it to a vote on the chamber floor Wednesday — Tax Day. It is an extraordinarily candid expression of the majority’s priorities: A tax cut costing the treasury $269 billion over a decade that would exclusively benefit individuals with wealth of more than $5.4 million and couples with wealth of more than $10.9 million.

That’s a tax break for only the 5,500 wealthiest households in the country each year, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation. Of those, the 318 wealthiest estates each year — those worth $50 million or more — would see an average windfall of $20 million each, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

And this at a time when the gap between rich and poor is already worse than it has been since the Great Depression? Never in the history of plutocracy has so much been given away to so few who need it so little.

This is the ultimate perversion of the tea party movement, which began as a populist revolt in 2009 but has since been hijacked by wealthy and corporate interests....

Republicans push for a permanent aristocracy

That is because most Republicans today are not from the party of Lincoln but of Jefferson Davis and the Confederacy and are Dixie-crats and segregationists that came into the party in the late 50s onwards and took it over. At that point, thanks to supporting Prohibition and being blamed for the Great Depression, the GOP party of old was dead and had to transform itself so it invited the Dixie-crats and other malcontents into the party.

So, yes, southern culturally, the GOP by and large wants and thinks it is the proper order of the universe that an aristocracy rules over the rest. We are back in the land of cotton. Look away, Dixie-land...........

Yep, you nailed it

Boehner. Rove. Walker. The Bushes. McClown. Christy. Romney. The gop governors - and all the rest

These statists have lots and lots of faults. Enough to fill volumes.

But Dixie-crats and segregationists? Seriously?

I swear - people on the LEFT as well as those on the RIGHT who continue to parrot mindless talking points suggesting there is a difference between the D and R branches of the Ruling Party - continue to amaze.

It is clear that is why the Republican party that burned the South to the ground is now the defacto party of Southern States. I mean, hello.....

You even have Republicans arguing for nullification and states rights like its 1860 again.

Bread and circuses. Keeps the masses entertained.

You also have republicans arguing for:
1. Repeal of Zero Care
2. Returning to the Constitution
3. Tax reform
4. Smaller, limited government.

The chances of any of these really happening is about the same as the chance of finding an icicle in Hades.

Let me know where the R branch of the Ruling Party actually breaks out and becomes an oppostion party.

Till then, for those on the Left we can gaze dreamily at Hillary's pantsuit. And for those on the RIGHT, we can imagine that Rand Paul really IS a libertarian.

So are the democraps. Both political parties are trying to establish a secure system of feudalism for their own brand of the effete useless.

It's all about perception not reality.

Especially when one side says the other side is doing something, when it all reality it was the accusers who were doing it all along. Same old liars game and the sad thing is too many people believe it, and worse yet some come post it here thinking the lie they heard is gospel.

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”
