Title: This Is What It’s Like to Get Pulled over for Expired Tags in Police State USA 2015

(Truthstream Media) My friend and coworker at The Daily Sheeple Lily Dane was terrified tonight after police pulled her over for the high crime of expired tags and it turned into a bullying session that lasted over an hour and that apparently required four cop cars and SIX POLICE.

I guess because we have this many officers and not a lot of actual, dangerous crime going on, they’ve got to justify their jobs somehow… This isn’t protecting and serving. It’s extortion.

Although the initial female officer seemed cordial and made the situation out to be no big deal, her male partner decided to turn the situation into a long, drawn-out bullying session and called Lily a criminal because she “broke the law” (as if all laws are equal and someone with expired tags is on par with, say, a rapist or baby killer), even though Lily has no criminal history and had done nothing wrong at that point other than having expired tags (except, perhaps, maybe for speaking out and being politically active against the police state online as an alternative media journalist).

Untitled-2

This video is the story of what happened. I’m sharing it because we live in such an insane police state that something has to change.

As our previous special report exposes, police are using pre-crime algorithms to assign color-coded threat scores to each and every one of us before an officer ever lays eyes on us based upon, among others, our social media and online posts. Is Lily special because of her political views, or is this just the way they treat everyone nowadays simply for driving with expired tags?

How come we can’t leave our houses and get into our cars in this society without being targets to be pulled over and financially raped and potentially imprisoned (or worse) by this gestapo system at any moment? Guilty until proven innocent simply because we got behind the wheel? Not free to openly travel in this society without being continually taxed, fined, and under constant big brother suspicion and surveillance at all times?

Nothing about this is freedom.

Come on, let’s be honest. Having an expired license plate tag isn’t about the safety of our society, it’s about REVENUE GENERATION. PERIOD!

It isn’t a reason to bully and intimidate and harass some lady for over an hour, acting like she was lying about owning her car, lying about her insurance card, and even lying about what state she lived in (even though it was on her driver’s license).

2015-03-25_1-34-02

At one point he even threatened her that he could take her car away and throw her in jail if he wanted to just to be an even bigger bully.

2015-03-25_1-02-41

She asked how she would get home and he shrugged and went, “a taxi?” She was 45 minutes away from her house at the time, by the way, which was in a neighboring state and it was night time and well after dark. Guess he’d love it if some guy treated his wife that way??

In the end, the hero of the hour just doing his job protecting America from hardened “criminals” by bullying a woman with an honest paperwork issue for over and hour gave Lily a ticket and told her she just “shouldn’t drive” until the matter gets straightened out… I guess because she’s a slave and shouldn’t be allowed to freely travel in her car until she follows bureaucratic marching orders? Never mind that, as one commenter wrote on yet another police state story over gestapo abuse:

Transportation is a COMMERCIAL activity that CORPORATIONS must be LICENSED to conduct along the Common right of way. CORPORATIONS apply for the PRIVILEGE (permit/license) of doing BUSINESS. Travelers not engaged in COMMERCE aka TRAFFIC are doing so because they have a RIGHT to do so.

Know rights or no rights.

Something has got to change, people.

We cannot all continue to participate in this broken, corrupt, tyrannical gestapo-run system that operates like a parasite, feeding on our suffering and enslaving us all… (3 images)

"maybe for speaking out and being politically active against the police state online"

Ah, no. I doubt the police made the connection ... "Oh! You're THAT Lily Dane!"

But it does explain why it took so many cops -- she turned a simple traffic stop for expired tags into an international incident, hoping to get good material for her next article.

Lily was "special" because she mouthed off to the cops over a simple stop for expired tags. Ask yourself. Who in their right mind does that?

Yeah, she did. She wanted this kind of attention. She hates cops, and she'll do anything to provoke them because it makes a good story for her blog.

Wrong - no one wants or deserves this kind of attention.

She hates cops...

You think that anyone who calls out or writes about police misconduct "hates cops".

You're quoting her after there were six cops on the scene. Her unquoted, prior mouthing off was responsible for the extra cops. They figured they had a real psycho on their hands.

Lily Dane

Expired registration... a simple violation in most states. For me, if I stopped someone with expired tags, I'd check everything else. The insurance, the drivers license. If the plates are only expired by a month or two... a simple ticket, with a court day 4 weeks after the stop... and let the driver drive off with the hopes they go straight to DMV (most don't). That gives the driver plenty of time to get the car registered, bring proof to court and most DA's will motion to dismiss the ticket.

Now... a car that's 3, 4, 5... Months or a year past expiration. Then I ticket the driver and give the driver a choice... have a tow agency of her choice tow the vehicle to her home... or I impound the vehicle and take her plates for evidence until she brings me proof of a valid registration.

Yes, expired tags aren't a "rape"... or a homicide... but the highest courts will uphold vehicle registrations on PUBLIC ROADS as a constitutional requirement. If society just closed our eyes to the violations, because they aren't a "rape"... then people, in general, woild stop complying on their own... and most people would be driving around, unregistered.

Yellow journalism, designed to make light of simple, low degree laws, by casting a spotlight on the cops that enforce them as mean, thugs... and a police state. I'm thinking Dane, intentionally and willingly let her registration expire and drive that way to bait the officers into a sensationalistic news story. Unfortunately for her... all she managed to do was bait 6 officers to the scene (which is perfectly legal and within policy)... and a traffic ticket.

She wants to be famous?... she reaps what she sows. Don't expect LE to not watch each other's back when dealing with you Ms. Dane.

You must have been very good at generating revenue for your masters.

Yep - gotta keep that cash flowing in order to make cops feel that they are useful.

Heaven forbid we allow serfs any more freedom than they already have.

What kind of a kick-back did you get from the towing company for throwing some business their way?

4) Anarchist ~ What kind of a kick-back did you get from the towing company for throwing some business their way?

1) I didn't set the fines or fees, I didn't collect them, determine how big they are or cause people to break the law. I did the job I swore an oath to do. Uphold the constitutionally tested laws of the state of NY... whether you liked those laws or not.

2) When you pay your state property taxes, yearly, YOU fund your police. You pay for your own cops. Don't blame me, prevaricator. You are the most dishonest person I've ever seen on a political board.

3) Who made the anarchist activist not renew her registration? Was that my fault? I paid mine... she shouldn't have to?

4) If there was any truth behind "kick backs" for tickets, officers would never retire. lol

Carry on with your indoctrination of the readers here with your misinfo and propaganda. Don't let me stop you.

I've never suggested anything like this... you are the most deceptive poster on this venue with the least amount of credibility.

People always "get what they deserve". Don't pay your registration like everyone else... you deserve a ticket.

I don't suggest you need to "genuflect" your water meter reader... and if you don't pay your water bill... you deserve to dry flush the shit down your toilet.

A local guy has a service station and tow truck.

Somehow he's in cahoots with the local cops. He even built a little 50 X 50 impoundment lot and gets $20 a day or so from the car owners.

People know him as Turtle cuz he kant reed and rite.

He makes it and I guess you could call him a badge licker too. A profitable one.

A local guy has a service station and tow truck.

That's the fault of your backwoods neighbors (if your story has truth). You and they need to be more active and vocal in your community.

I've never seen a police agency that doesn't use a ROTATING list of tow agencies out of fairness. If your local agency is still policing like they did in Maybury, I suggest you get active in your legislative meetings and complain.

I got towed once, after an encounter with the cops. I thought the tow charge was way to high. So I called them the next day and told them my truck was broken down where they had towed me from. I asked how much it would be to tow my truck back to his lot. His price was half of what he charged me when the cops had it towed.

Hopefully you called him out on that.

When I was on the road, I'd give the motorist a choice. You pick the agency of your choice or I'll get the next on rotation. The decision or fee amount is between the tow agency and the motorist. If I needed to impound the vehicle, then that was decided by a rotating list... and impounds cost more than standard tows because they require to be secured inside or behind a fence.

But in fairness, how many PDs do you know such details about other than in the area you served?

It's a big country. We all tend to assume that things are similar everywhere when obviously they are not.

I don't doubt you are relaying the policy of local PDs you knew. But it is anecdotal to your old stomping grounds.

This kind of policy in your local PDs is why other states are eager to hire local officers. You've mentioned this before. It's not just the training and professional qualifications; it's also the policy expectations and professionalism they are after. If some other cop shop hired you, you would bring in these kinds of policies with you as routine procedure.

I knew the towing policies for agencies in 50 square miles. Probably 20 or 25 total agencies... Big or small, they all use a rotating list.

Where I live in Pa, the agency that works the jurisdiction that I live in, uses a rotating tow list AND a rotating AAA list.... and tow agencies here must promise a 20 minute ETA for all LE requests. So, if you have a reportable accident, and you have AAA... wait until LE arrives to call your tow. If you call AAA, they will make you wait an hour. If the police call them to your accident scene, it will take half that time.

It only takes a few complaints that the police department and ONE tow agency are in "cahoots" together, at one town hall meeting... and a threat of a lawsuit... and bingo, fixed.

TC, Id never think there isn't some back woods departments all over this welfare infected country. All I'm saying is they ain't close to the norm.

I've lived in places where the nearest tow truck is more than 25 miles away. And not always available. Some places, you don't really get a choice of tow trucks and it isn't because cops are in cahoots. Just not enough towing to support more tow operators.

You really don't see how the rest of the country is. Get out in the rural areas sometime and you'll see a whole different picture. And "rural" varies a lot by region too.

It's a big country.

Of course, these are areas where the police almost never have a vehicle towed other than a car accident or apprehending a felon on a warrant in his car. 95% or more of the tows here are just car accidents and a fair number of those are vehicles disabled from hitting some big whitetail.

Thanks for that info. In my original statement above I didn't imply that Turtle had a monopoly on towing for cops, only that he gets his share - he's on a major thoroughfare, so I can guess that maybe, for that reason, he gets more than his fair share. My county is rural with a couple of towns, so I'm sure the other tow guys get their share in their areas within the county.
