COEUR D'ALENE (AP) | The Kootenai County Republican Committee in northern Idaho has rejected a draft resolution asking that the Idaho Legislature formally declare Idaho a Christian state. The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that more than two-thirds of the committee members voted Tuesday to kill the resolution.
Precinct Committeeman Hans Neumann put forward the resolution.
Committeeman Bjorn Handeen immediately objected to force the 52 members in attendance to vote on whether to even consider the motion.
The committee opted not to have a roll-call vote.

No one will ever suspect that they might be Christians.
