I read a few of your posts. Didn't know who you were. I didn't agree with much but you were respectful and sincere.

You're welcome here.

When FreeRepublic cut me off originally, I thought that it was ridiculous and unfair. I'd been posting there for years, and was a conservative Republican. The things I was angry about in H.W. Bush were legitimate. I was stunned when they did it, and found myself with nowhere to communicate in the way that I'd become accustomed. So I tried to get back aboard, including by trying a pseudonym, once. That was in 2005 or so.

Once I found LibertyPost, I started posting there. I missed the "wider audience" of FR for a bit, and I still thought they should lift the ban, as it was ridiculous.

So I knocked at the front door a few times, in my own name (Vicomte13). They never deigned to respond to anything.

With a little more time, I began to perceive that the thing that makes any chat site good is the quality of the posters. I have heard since I was about 8 years old how well I write, and while I never paid any attention to it when I was younger, as I've gotten older I realize that it is true: I write well, and I do so on a wide variety of topics because of the extremely broad education I have had, and the unique set of experiences. Having a strong memory helps also.

And so with further reflection I decided that it is people like me, our willingness to spend time posting our well-written and provactive thoughts for free in a wide chat room, that make a site good, and the absence of us that breaks a site.

There are a few news wires that print articles every day. It's easy to find the news. It's easy to find people commenting, one way, about the news. It's difficult to find people with whom to actually ENGAGE about the news, and to find those with whom one can engage INTELLIGENTLY, and at length, well, they're as rare as hen's teeth.

Bref: FR's banning of me and people like me was FR's loss. Now I have no interest whatever in going back, other than on my own terms, which are simple: open the door back up, unban me, and don't presume to give me any "warning" whatsoever. I was dead right about H.W. Bush. I was just smarter than the moderators and saw it two years before they did. Unban me and do not presume to give me any "warning" at all, consider yourselves lucky that I should deign to return and give my time and talent to a site that has fallen far from its former glory (BECAUSE it banned people like me), and let it go from there.

Those are the terms on which I would do FR the favor of returning, under my own name. Otherwise, that game's not worth the candle. LibertysFlame looks to be like a bigger and less cranky expression of LibertyPost, and with Private Mail too. So I think this place will be excellent. The conversations we will have here will make it so, and my excellent (if lengthy) writing will be a material part of that. This is not arrogance, it is realism.

However for a poster to be hit with the charge of "RETREAD!!" (or troll) it would have to be assumed that Vic has made enemies of petty mitpickers there. Have you, Vic? If not, TC has his balloon tethered to Oz on standby to Kansas.

I never really thought about that. Given some of the outrage that folks have expressed at me, the heat of the invective, just for stating my simple (if at times detailed) opinions, I suppose that there are some people whom I make batshit crazy just by opening my mouth.

I think these are mostly matters of style. France is America's oldest ally, but a lot of Americans are allergic to things French, and I do write with more than a little garlic.

I realize that it is true: I write well....

Indeed you do.

I honestly did not really remember your name that well.

I had a different handle there, one that enraged the Bushbots. The mods hated it. LOL. I can't believe they let me post for so long. I bet I'm one of the rare posters there whose posts have been completely eradicated.

I don't recall you either but I was a steadfast opponent of our actions in Yugoslavia. I recall in particular that as the early 2000 race developed, both McStain and Dumbya both raced to the microphones to pledge their undying support for Xlinton bombing the Chinese embassy and amputating Kosovo from Serbia and the rest of that idiocy. Stain/Dumbya were reciting all the "political disagreements stop at our shores" nonsense (which the Dims never reciprocate). Morons.

I recall you and I together on many threads about the election campaign of Sarkozy. Often, we were the only ones on those threads and were repelling trolls. I especially recall some threads with detailed comparisons of his campaign ads and posters to Reagan's 1984 Morning In America ads. Sarkozy created that same vibe with beautiful simple pastoral photos of lush French countryside. A brilliant campaign.

A sample of your writing on Sarkozy and France at TOS here.

And you still think there's a chance in hell that your Ivy League prose style wouldn't be noticed at TOS in short order? ‹/sarcasm

Liberator and I would have a better chance of retreading there despite our poignant and gripping tribute video to TOS and the heroic BobJ.

I also remember this poster called Hamiltonian who posted on the Yugoslav / Kosovo affair and he actually got contacted by an oil/gas company to refute his allegations in a non refute kind of way (we were speculating that the whole stupid war was really fought in part to control pipeline routings into Europe).

There was a Milosevic web forum (I am not kidding) where when I signe dup I was literally called a saint for my work on Freerepublic by Serbian posters. That actually touched me. I stopped posting after Milosevic was murdered by - I assume - the CIA or affiliated NATO spook org after he threatened to subpenoa Clinton and Blair for his kangaroo court trial which he was winning. He appealed for help from Russia after blood thining meds were found in his system.

There was a throw away article done months after that stated Slobo was 'suicidal' and that he probbaly had someone smuggle in medication to make it appear NATO doctors/tribunal doctors were poisoning him because his trial was going badly for him or some such nonsense to close the case.

A little reminder of the style of Sarkozy's Morning In America (matin en France) posters from, what, 2003?

He had some graphics with much more verdant landscapes and an exquisite modern font, the epitome of French high style through simplicity. Very sophisticated imagery.

I believe that our first contacts there were on the first of only two threads (both vanities) that I initiated there. It was a thread on Orthodox-Catholic Reconciliation to heal the East-West Schism.

I was full of hope when I initiated the article. It's fair to say that within a month I was disabused of that tender emotion. I recall a fellow named "Kolokotronis" who posted there. He and I had good exchanges.

I recall that he tried to give me comfort that one of the most aggressively negative posters was a Serb, and "Serbs have dark souls"...which surprised me because I thought that was really harsh on the Serbs. Dark souls? Wow! He explained himself and I understood better that he wasn't saying that Serbs are evil, just embittered by history. Fair enough.

I have been pretty constant over the years. I was banned because I was severely critical of H.W. Bush. Specifically, I wrote something like "Was putting up with 8 years of Clinton to get rid of (H.W.) Bush? Yes. Yes it was."

Some moderator wrote "Banned for that and the rest of it", something like that.

And that was it.

Of course, within a year the whole site was aflame with Bush hatred. When the dullards caught up to where the smart people were a year before them, they had banned us, and refused to reconsider their stupid decisions.

So now FR is only a shell of what it was.

Well, now hold on. I was mad at W. Bush for those very things, and not surprised when he did them.

But what got me banned was my criticism of H.W. Bush, 41. He only had two problems: Foreign policy and Domestic policy. Other than that, he was a peach.

I'm debating whether LF (Google's and Facebook's unwitting bitch) is actually better than putting up with a handful of antisemites and Truthers over at 4um which is at least a dark-web site. Nazi Truthers or Canaries, which is worse?

This influx of Canaries has taken the sheen off any hopes some of us had for LF.

Then there's the contents of the Headlines page and many of the articles in various categories.

Don't let him fool you. I mentioned the bunker mindset of TOS, Liberator mentioned the various Hitler spoofs, I located and torrented the movie, 90% of the script came from a single post by liberator, I figured out the subtitle format and used Quicktime 7 to hardcode the subtitles onto the video and put it on YouBoob. This happened over the course of a day and a half.

Yes, a few posters over there might be a bit over the top on the "conspiracy-within-a-conspiracy mindset." But to be honest, I'm of that mind as well. Maybe not to their degree. To them The Joos are the string-pullers from Islam's terrorism to poisoning our food. THAT said...

...I believe an Elite World Puppet-Meister Government (aka PTB) has been engaging in misdirection and scripting narratives and determining the "news." Owning the media and message makes this simple. Not that Islam didn't pull off the Hedbo caper; They did. However, the PTB routinely enable chaos and anarchy while refusing to douse and call out the actual perps: Islam. Hate-Whitey Plantation Blacks. Commie-White Leftists. OR their own puppets within the US goobermint. As well as various foreign/UN/NWO proxies of these Elites/PTB who do their bidding (howz zat for a "conspiracy-within-a-conspiracy-within-a-conspiracy?") :-)

OTOH, look at LF's sidebar or what LP had (on some days after the Canaries and the Canary-brawlers got done with it). Which was why I hung out at LP so long, warts and all.

Sure. The news sidebar is more about domestic issues and events, less dwelling in the realm of ethereal world conspiracies. Or less about obvious "conspiracies" like a subversive President and his fellow subversive allowed to ransack, plunder and incinerate America with impunity.

Where we differ is obviously in defining our respective political "reality." I may be wrong, but...you generally appear to believe that this national/world system or "order" is an un-rigged game; That it's a mess that is redeemable if only the "right" pols were in charge again; That most of our politicians have our best interests at heart, and THE narrative advanced by the media and goob is more or less as it seems.

To me, everyday since @ 2004 has reinforced the notion of one giant charade and version of the "Matrix." Since 0buma has been elect THEN re-elected, that notion has been reinforced every hour on the hour. No sane, benevolent, constitutional US government would have allowed the second term to happen without rigging, greasing, and fixing the works. An Impeachment would/should have launcheded long ago. A strong case could be made for Treason.

Sorry for the long-winded response.

You might want to brush up on your Chomsky a bit, especially his classic Manufacturing Consent. As he says, it is not a conspiracy per se. But it functions as one due to the class solidarity and political interests of the elites. They don't actually need to hold any meetings or to explicitly plan most of their agenda.

To me, everyday since @ 2004 has reinforced the notion of one giant charade and version of the "Matrix."

Damn, you guys all swoon over those Matrix movies. I never met a Truther who didn't mention them before too long. I think that Truthers don't really grasp how that plays out with the non-believers. Hint: they don't like the implication that they're unconscious boobs, given no more hard evidence than the Truthers can muster for their case.

You created some of the best lines, right from the outset ("Out of the way, Harpies!....Mittbot!")

I had to fill dialogs for those chicks. So who else was I going to pick?

The "$350,000 per year" crack about a chat board for cat-ladies was deliciously spot on.

I got those out of the various Biker Bar threads, just searched around for about 10 minutes. Maybe f_christain? Can't recall.

Never read Chomsky; Don't have to since my eyes and ears and math have dictated the obvious: "IF it looks like a Duck..." OR even to that which "Occam's Razor" applies.

I can concur with a solidarity of these elites as the world's undeclared self-anointed Royalty, as well as what they perceive as their "right" and entitlement to advance their subversive agenda of World Conquest and kingdoms. Islam immigration/Terrorism is merely a tool for them. "By any means necessary" is their motto.

As to the necessity of meetings, of course they meet and discuss their Game Plans. Most are unannounced. Few are overt. What do you think the Bilderergers, CFR, Skull & Bones, etal are about? Cigars and cognac? Even the Journ-O-Listers devised and organized a Game Plan and executed an agenda. But of course they were/are doing so at the behest of their superiors within this hierarcy of World Subversion.

Damn, you guys all swoon over those Matrix movies. I never met a Truther who didn't mention them before too long.

Naah. Only watched it a couple of times. The reason it's invoked so often is simply for the "Red Pill/Blue Pill" scene, which is the definitive metaphor for discerning whether our current World Order has been controlled and scripted by subversive elites in stages, OR whether one believes in an alternative reality in which our politics, bogeymen, and events are natural, spontaneous "living, breathing" organisms.

I think that Truthers don't really grasp how that plays out with the non-believers. Hint: they don't like the implication that they're unconscious boobs, given no more hard evidence than the Truthers can muster for their case.

I thoroughly understand the revulsion and rejection of "Trutherism." It's hard for folks to believe nearly everything they've been told about our system and order is a lie. Being bamboozled our entire lives is an immense blow to our intellect...

But how it plays out with unbelievers isn't part of the equation for those who do the math. Connecting those dots in lieu of "hard evidence" has never been easier. That "evidence" is shone like a laser in everyone's face on a daily basis. Lies of ommision and "official" reports that are worse than fairy tales make it just as frustrating and incredulous for those of us who hear the perjorative, "Truther!" despite what we see is one charade after another.
