At the suggestion of LP user "sneakypete" I called the police department in Goldi's town to do a courtesy safety check on her. They in turn referred me to the sheriff's office where an officer duly took the information and checked on her status. It is my sad duty to report that Goldi passed away over a month ago. (Although I had known her for many years it was not unusual for me not to hear from her for a month or more if there were no LP issues.) The circumstances are that UPS packages were piling up in front of her condo, so the management called police on November 13th to check on her. She was found deceased inside her condo unit. The officer that I dealt with was kind, professional, and patient. He also provided me with a case number and contact where I can obtain more details during the county's normal business hours. What this means for LP -- right now I don't know. We'll have to figure that one out.

Condolences to her friends and family. Stone, please remove my duplicate post (same topic).

Certainly she has found peace. Everyone does at that point. Well, maybe "peace" isn't quite the right word, in my view. It's a lot better than that. If you are referring to me...... Not to make light of the event, but truth be told, it's not a loss for me. Even though we ran LP together, I never met her in person. Not that I know of, at least. From LP's inception to my departure from it.... over 10 years ago now... any and all contact was electronic and I guess few phone calls. Running LP was something she had the drive to do, and I really didn't. I got tired of arbitrating disputes and such. Looking back, I was quite idealistic and had a much more positive view of people than I do now.
Nothing can sour a person on other people more than having to interact with them.

Good to hear from you. Was getting a bit worried about your whereabouts too! As with others above, my condolences. I know you and Goldi were not close, but you did work together for a bit. There are quite a few over at LP that want you to continue the site and ODS was mentioned too.

I am stunned and am deeply saddened and greatly affected by this news. I mourn Goldi's/Sally's passing. My prayers and most sincere condolences lie with her family and friends. Asswipe Gatlin shows up for his quarterly visit, lies about emailing with goldi, and starts heading in the direction of getting yukon back. Both sysadmin and neil don't see what he's up to because they aren't familiar with him.
