Here's the deal: On Wednesday, December 17th, LP went dark. This was due to the monthly service provider bill not being paid. (This is not the annual "Goldi forgot to renew the domain" event. That would be next month. :)
I have been trying since that time to contact Goldi to no avail. I redirected libertypost.org to our status page via a DNS change to let people know what was going on and provided an email contact for users that might have any information. By the way, that email address was quickly disabled by its provider, most likely due to some stupid asshat trying to brute-force into it.
That kind of crap makes me pig-biting mad. I do not take part in this site and really don't know the various personalities involved. I also don't give a rat's ass about the hot-headed arguments and bulls**t that go on here (I see some of that during spot-checks) or brickbats thrown back and forth with other sites. My role is to spot-check LP for proper operation as a favor to Goldi and try to take care of any technical problems involving the system software, not to babysit a bunch of squalling brats.
In any event, having gotten that of my chest, what I have done to get LP up and running temporarily is to pay December's bill out of my own pocket. I am also trying to "downsize" the service to a less expensive level so if Goldi has not responded by the end of the month I will continue LP's operation for a period of time. (If this cannot be done I will take a disk image backup of LP and pull the plug on it before the end of the month.)
So that's the story. At this point I don't know where Goldi is, she has not responded via email or phone. (Though it is not unusual for her to be away for a few days.) Anyone with any information or suggestions on how to proceed feel free to post here.
