I would say it is naive to believe that there will ever be peace.

IT IS A SPIRITUAL BATTLE OF GOOD VS EVIL! Seriously consider and pray about that.

As for militant Gazans firing from civilian areas, I ask where else are they supposed to fire from?

You sound like Hillary.

They are not supposed to fire from anywhere.

If they fire from somewhere where their kids are or where a hospital is. They should shut the F up when their own civilians get killed. Because it is their fault. Wouldn't you agree?

If Mexicans were firing into your neighborhood and your guys fired back and killed one of them. It would be the Mexicans fault not yours.

Also God did give the land to the Jews. He said the world would all turn against israel in the last days. Those who aren't deluded.

Stone, do you believe God loves Jews more than he does non-Jews?

I believe God hates sin. I know God hates Islam. I would say God gives every one a chance of what they are going to do. That if he loves some more or not regardless those who follow and do what he says will be rewarded with life and those who don't will be condemned to hell. By that definition every Muslim that truly believes the Koran would be going to the hot place. There would be Muslims and many others that turned to Jesus Christ that would be forgiven for all types of things.

Do you think God loves people who follow his word more then those who don't?

The solution is for the Muslims to leave Israel. Israel should maybe pay them money for new land elsewhere. Hell we could even pay it. It would be cheaper then all the war money that we have wasted.

And just exactly where would they go, because nobody wants them?

Oh wait never mind I just remembered Bathhouse Barry and Puppetmaster Valerie are in love with them, and would bring them here to help phuck up our country some more.

They imported cement lots of it. They didn't build houses with most of it apparently. They built tunnels to carry out terrorist activities.

They shot off 2000 rockets that cost $600,000 a piece. instead of doing that they should have helped their people. But they don't do that because their culture is trash.

Now you know what that $1 billion dollars Bathhouse Barry and Hitlery sent to Hamas back in 2009 went for!

There are always at least two sides to every story.

Were the tunnels constructed to "carry out terrorist activities"

or to bring in necessities? Taking into consideration the ghetto-like conditions....are both possible?

"They imported cement lots of it. They didn't build houses with most of it apparently."

Care to cite a source? The use of the word "apparently" suggests a conclusion drawn - rather than a statement of fact, doesn't it?

Anyway, it looks like the leaders in Israel have gotten what they wanted... $225 Million MORE from US taxpayers..... (http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/01/politics/congress-israel-iron-dome/)

I'm not going to respond to everything, but it's apparent from your answers that you do indeed have a double standard. Jews get one standard and everyone else the other. You also stereotype Muslims with a broad brush, and basically find justification for the embargoed status of the Gaza Strip, even though such embargoes themselves foster a state of war, saying it's okay for them to be treated as subhumans, because, I guess, that's what they are in your eyes. Saying it's okay to restricting their ability to fish is beyond the pale, really.

Apparently Jews have a right to defend themselves, but not the Palestinians.

$600K per rocket, with 2000 fired? That comes to $1.2 billion dollars worth of ordinance, not counting what they've not fired. Such a statistic is laughable considering the poverty that exists in the GS.

The Old Testament has no shortage of instances where the ancient Israelites were supposedly commanded to kill all in the cities they took. That is clearly not a message of love to non-Jews.

For that matter, the Jewish faith teaches that non-Jews pretty much exist to serve Jews.

Where does it teach that? I would be most interested if you could elaborate.

Orthodox Jewry teaches this.

He said the world would all turn against israel in the last days.

A self-fulfilling prophecy. Those who believe this have no hope of ever getting along with the rest of the world, and use it as an assurance that any and all conflict they suffer through is not their fault, and therefore they never even try to be a peaceable, respectful people.

Stone, do you believe God loves Jews more than he does non-Jews?

Do you find it as peculiar as I do that you didn't answer this question?

I suppose that I should take that to mean the answer is "yes", even though it's clearly a non-Christian position.

They are not subhumans. They are sinners. Israel would be stupid to lift the embargo as long as Hamas calls for Israels destruction. You are not dumb, are you blind? Why do you have blinders on and ignore this fact?

When there was no embargo the terrorists bring in stuff to try to wipe out the Jews. Do you dispute that fact?

Israel could kill every Palestinian if they wanted to. That is a fact, do you dispute that? If Hamas could kill every Jew they would, do you deny that fact?

That is not true Neil. Israel (incorrectly in my view) gave the Palestinians territory. With greenhouses and lots of stuff to help the Palestinian people. But instead they decided to launch rockets into Israel.

There will never be peace there. Islam doesn't teach peace it teaches hate and violence. So by definition anyone who becomes a Muslim who takes the Koran literally is taught to hate and kill Jews, Christians etc.

Hamas would behave as ISIS if they could. Do you doubt that?

God has a purpose for Israel. Part of that purpose was the birth of Jesus Christ and everything associated with his life. That wouldn't have happened if God allowed his people to be intermixed with evil people who would want to undermine his plan. That is the simplified short version.

South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham sounded the alarm Sunday about the growing threat of Islamic State launching an attack on American soil unless President Obama takes more decisive action to stop the terror group’s surge across Iraq and Syria.

Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told “Fox News Sunday” that the well-funded, swiftly-strengthening organization, which has taken control of large parts of both Middle East countries, is a “direct threat to our homeland.”

“Mr. President, be honest with the threat we face,” Graham said. “They are coming.”

Graham was critical of the president's decision late last week to order a series of limited airstrikes at Islamic State military installations in northern Iraq to stop members from killing American personnel and the thousands of Christians, Kurds and others who have fled into the Sinjar Mountains.

However, he posed no solution or his own strategy, as public-opinion polls show the American public is war weary and reluctant to send U.S. troops back into Iraq.

Graham’s argument also follows a Vice News video that appears to show an Islamic State militant saying, “We will raise the flag of Allah in the White House.” The video was released before Obama ordered the air strikes, in addition to humanitarian-aid drops.

Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., told Fox News that he supports the president’s strategy, particularly the humanitarian effort and repeated the administration’s argument that the best way to stop Islamic State is for Iraq to develop a stronger, more-inclusive government.

However, California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a fellow Democrat and the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is taking a more hawkish stance, similar to Graham’s.

“It takes an army to defeat an army, and I believe that we either confront [Islamic State] now or we will be forced to deal with an even stronger enemy in the future,” she said Friday after the airstrikes were announced. “Inaction is no longer an option.”

She and others have said for months that Islamic State is recruiting and training fighters from Europe and the United States who could come home and launch a terror attack.

Graham also argued that Islamic State’s nearly unchecked rise is the result of Obama failing last year to take action against the group in Syria, even after the FBI and other U.S. intelligence officials warned the White House and Congress of its growing, global threat.

“Your game plan cannot protect the United States,” Graham said Sunday, addressing Obama.

Such rhetoric tracks closely to that used in the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, lawmakers from both parties voted to give President George W. Bush the authority to take military action against Iraq in the hopes of combating terrorism.

At the time, many said the United States faced a choice of fighting terrorism on American soil or on foreign soil.

Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin, a close White House ally, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Islamic State fighters are a "growing and troublesome" threat but “we must not send the troops."

A breakdown in talks between Washington and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that would have allowed U.S. troops to remain in Iraq collapsed in 2008, and Obama withdrew troops in 2011.

Al-Maliki now is under mounting pressure to step aside, including requests from U.S. lawmakers.

The Islamic State group, which some lawmakers refer to as ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, is "getting stronger all the time," warned Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

"They have attracted 1,000 young men from around the world who are now fighting on their side," he said on CNN's "State of the Union.” "This ISIS is metastasizing throughout region. And their goal, as they've stated openly time after time, is the destruction of United States of America."

I'll leave it to others to decide who is what horse.

John Howard says: There are 4 schools of economics:
Marxism: steal everything
Keynesianism: steal by counterfeiting whenever needed
Chicago school (Milton Friedman): steal by counterfeiting at a steady, predictable rate
Austrians: don't steal

You're welcome.

The madmen who run this world aren't based in DC, but in London. The ones in DC and Israel are just puppets dancing to the tune of their British masters, as far as I can tell.

By London, I mean the Rothschild family. They monopolize the western world's banking industry, and dabble in other ventures such as controlling British Petroleum and Goldman Sachs.

They are the scourge of the earth.

From Wikipedia Al-Baghdadi is believed to have been born near Samarra, Iraq, in 1971.[13] Reports suggest that he was a cleric at the Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal Mosque in Samarra at around the time of the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.[14][7] He earned a master's degree and a PhD in Islamic studies from the University of Islamic Sciences in the Baghdad suburb of Adhamiya.[13][15][16]

After the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, al-Baghdadi helped to found the militant group, Jamaat Jaysh Ahl al-Sunnah wa-l-Jamaah (JJASJ), in which he served as head of the group's sharia committee.[14] Al-Baghdadi and his group joined the Mujahideen Shura Council (MSC) in 2006, in which he served as a member of the MSC's sharia committee. Following the renaming of the MSC as the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) in 2006, al-Baghdadi became the general supervisor of the ISI's sharia committee and a member of the group's senior consultative council.[14][18]

According to US Department of Defense records, al-Baghdadi was held at Camp Bucca as a "civilian internee" by US Forces-Iraq from February until December 2004, when he was released. A Combined Review and Release Board recommended an "unconditional release" of al-Baghdadi and there is no record of him being held at any other time.[19][14] A number of newspapers, in contrast, have stated that al-Baghdadi was interned from 2005 to 2009.[20][21]

You say you are a christian.

I was for over 30 years, but truth be told, I'm not any more.

I do not believe the bible is the infallible "Word of God". Why? Well, for starters, the bible says it is appointed for us to live one life and be done, and I consider the evidence of reincarnation to be too overwhelming.

Reincarnation is hardly a new concept. It's been in existence for thousands of years in many cultures. I understand the idea was eradicated in the early christian church for political reasons. Namely, that scaring people into believing they only get one shot at life made them easier to control and manage by the Roman empire after it embraced christianity.

The work of Michael Newton and others show that the consistency of reports given by people from all walks of life, all cultures and religions, including Jews, demonstrate uniformly that reincarnation is a fact of our world and universe. Author Brian Weiss also writes of a present day Jewish woman who recited the entire Catholic Act of Contrition while under hypnosis recalling her dying as a young French Catholic woman a couple hundred years ago. Of course, this is a prayer that not one catholic in 10,000 could recite today, and it was done by a Jewish woman? Reincarnation is one element of many that all fit together to give the best explanation of life and our reason for existing, and it's a far better explanation than Christian theology or the theology of any other religion has ever offered, by far. The picture of everything is much cleaner, the love that we are the recipient of is much more than even christianity claims to offer.

The inescapable conclusion, at least for me and certainly many others, is that there is nothing special about Jews in comparison with any other people on earth. Nothing whatsoever. There is no such thing as a "chosen people".

Not that Christianity is wrong on all points. No faith is. The Golden Rule is spot on. The message of love for all is also spot on. The love that is the backbone of the story behind Jesus dying for mankind, and God giving his only son for mankind is a proper depiction of the love that is real, and I believe that accuracy is the reason why Christianity is a popular faith. However, the theology itself of Jesus dying on the cross as a necessity of salvation for man no longer works for me. Things work far, far better than that.

People subscribe to the Christian faith for a number of reasons. For many, they were raised that way. For others, it's the best hope for a reason for existence they've ever been exposed to. Others see the message of love in the Christian message and that resonates with them because on the spiritual level they recognize that love as real, and therefore assume the theology that comes with it must also be real. But any of those reasons are fine because it's not important what academic theology is in one's brain. What's important is whether they use their talents to help and love others or to hurt others and only help themselves.

But no, I no longer call myself Christian.

1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; Lk. 5.1-3 and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased, and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some a hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10 ¶ And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 that seeing they may see, and not perceive;

and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Is. 6.9, 10 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the wayside, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

Yes, the bible has many examples of messages that basically claim to say, if you don't believe this message, you'll go to hell. But believing out of fear is not a valid reason to believe. In fact, it's not believing at all.

Here's an interview of Michael Newton. What I like about him is all the information he gives, both here and in his books, is based on what his clients have told him while under hypnosis. That as opposed to him spouting off colorful, poetic thoughts like some kind of charismatic mystic. He's very objective and scientific in his approach to this subject, listening to his clients as they speak from a hypnotic state.

If you are open minded about other explanations aside from Biblical Christianity about the spirit world and the purpose of life, I recommend you put your current beliefs on the shelf for just a short while and read Michael Newton's book "Journey of Souls". Electronic versions of it can be found on the net. You may agree with me that the truth needs no defence, so if Chistianity is in fact the truth, and Michael Newton is wrong, then there should be no harm in considering MH's work. If nothing else, you'll be better versed on the subject so you can tell people like me why and where I'm wrong. For my part, I found his books extremely interesting and IMO, they make a lot more sense than the Bible does as it corroborates my own experience and perceptions in life much, much better, to the point where I simply cannot ignore it.

If you'd rather not, that's fine. You're call.

Objectively speaking, that is one possibility. If it's the only one you are willing to consider, then that is your decision. Best...

Do you also support isis/isil?

In a manner of speaking, yes. So do you, by the tax dollars our government used to train and arm isis in Jordan before they were sent to Syria to do israel's bidding.

Do you consider the Bible to be God's word....

I was baptised as a methodist and attended church during my youth, including being appointed president of senior youth fellowship. As for it being god's word, no. It was written by a bunch of jewish guys who managed to work in a blurb about jews being His chosen people, which makes the authenticity of it being god's true word highly questionable, imo.
