The reviews didn't convince viewers to check out the pay channel's latest offering, though. The dramedy drew 338,000 viewers during its 10:30 p.m. EST debut slot despite all the positive press. conservare59 Ok, here's the deal.. I personally don't really have a dog in this hunt.. Even though I have my concerns about "radicalized" gay agendas, IE the Phil Robertson witch hunt, gay issues are not in my main list of concerns, not even the top ten to be honest.. My guess is the vast majority of gays go off to work everyday, pay their taxes, and love their families. The mistake that many gay Americans seem to make is they fall into this trap of believing that those who are not gay spend their waking hours thinking about them one way or another.. Wrong.. When I first saw the previews on HBO for this show, my thought was what in the hell are they thinking? HBO wants hit shows doesn't it, they want to make cash, right?.. Here's the cold hard truth HBO.. The vast majority of America doesn't want to watch two hairy dudes making out, or fat naked ugly girls after a hard day at work.. Don't get mad at me, I don't make the rules, I just recognize them.. We're told that gays are born gay, and even though there is debate over this, it's what I believe as well.. That being said, I was "born" to be completely grossed out by two bearded fellows in muscle shirts making out in the weeds!. I'm not homophobic, phobic implies fear, and I don't get the vapors if I see two guys holding hands.. But if HBO really thinks that 3% of America and those heterosexuals who would claim to be more evolved than me can carry a show, well knock yourself out HBO.. 241 post a comment
